Destruction isn't meaningful, and buildings cant get totalled. Vehicles aren't meaningful either.

I dislike how infantry is a run and gun game with extreme stamina and extreme accuracy, making positioning worth a shit.

BC2 had smaller maps and heavier walking feel, so vehicles to move around meant something, choosing sniping position or holding ground was better, and rush had a clear objective with different approaches and tactics. BF4 is shoot>respawn>shoot>respawn until the ticker goes down.

I think it also helps that getting a 3d spot off was much more finicky rather than just ADS and spam Q spotting someone 3 miles underground in a sealed bunker. I wish that they'd at least get rid of spawning on your squad and 3d spotting.

Although I'd also like it so that jets are significantly faster and actually handle a bit more realistically and helicopters and jets need to land at an airfield/aircraft carrier to rearm and repair. They also spawn on the ground too so you have to be able to take off. Then give tanks a gunner, driver, and turret spot and switching between them has a delay before you can use it and another before you can switch again. AA does a lot more damage and tracks much farther and you only get a very limited supply of flares as your only defense. Also raise the flight ceiling a lot more and change flight controls so you have an option so it controls like in warthunder for keyboard and mouse.

3D spotting doesn't work past a certain range unless you're using a scope/binos.

BF2142 was the last good BF game. BC2 is shit, stop with this it was a great game meme. It was nothing more than babys first battlefield.

At no point is anybody upset just because buildings can come toppling. It's just some MCOMs being in buildings and some maps having little to no cover.

Multiplayer for BC2 is far from dead. And the single player campaigns from the Bad Company games were easily the best of the series.

People realized it was the closest thing to battlefield of old while still being populated (BF2 fell off because of how difficult getting games together was/splintering community who perferred Project Reality). The drop off of quality from BC2 to 3 pretty much drove so many people back to it that it went from being derided from most PC fans to loved

That's a driver issue, same thing happened to me, it's whatever the fuck Nvidia did. Last known good ones are the GTAV game ready drivers. f you don't want to roll back you can kinda fix it by going to Documents > BFBC2 > settings.ini and setting DXVersion=9

Normal is literally the only way to play battlefield. The game isn't balanced around memecore you dumbfuck and is even easier since you can literally spray and pray to get easy af kills.

Being able to kill MCOMs with rockets and tanks was great because it means attackers don't have to go get mulched trying to get close enough to arm the charge. I guess you could argue it makes defense a lot harder but 90% of Rush maps are CT sided as fuck anyway.

Battlefield pre bad company was seen as a pc centric series. Then bad company itself came along and was made console exclusive. Bad company 2 got a pc port but was arguably more console oriented than the original by being more cod like. Then battlefield 3 came along, he first main entry in a while, but following in the vein of both the classics and bad company. So the fanbase is somewhat fractured.
