Hundreds of hours in some neo-fallout game

>hundreds of hours in some neo-fallout game
>hundreds of hours in skyrim
>hundreds of hours in csgo dota 2 and tf2 (gmod too if autistic)
>hundreds of hours in borderlands 2

why do steamfags have such SHIT taste?

what do you play?

my favorite games > your favorite games

clicker heroes

patrician as fuck

>Hundreds of hours in tf2

Try 3000 fuckboy, also I bet I have better taste than you, kid.

t. someone with hundreds of hours in some neo-fallout game, skyrim, csgo, dota 2, tf2, gmod, and borderlands 2

I wish I could have put that much time into Borderlands 2. But I can't because it's fucking shit.

Shitposting aside, the older I get, and the more I value my time, the more I find 100 hour rpgs undesirable to play. I want to get as much of a variety of experiences as possible, nothe use up all my time on one game.

No offence to those who like that kinda stuff, diFlorent strokes.

I usually get annoyed if a game goes longer than 40 hours or so.

>user puts 50+ hrs into a game
>this game is shit

why do people do this

Literally cancer killing vidya.

How can you be so autistic to care about those numbers

Addiction.

Loads of people have put months of real-time into MMOs, only to stop playing for a while and realize that they played out of routine compulsion rather than actual enjoyment.

>muh superior taste in vidya

why exactly do you care

>games should be 400+ hours

>hundreds of hours in some 2K sports game
>hundreds of hours in call of duty
>hundreds of hours in fifa and madden (nba too if black)
>hundreds of hours in GTA V

why do consolefags have such SHIT taste?

Why not? Should games be short throwaway snippets, played once and then disposed of upon completion?

That's more or less what the industry has leaned towards, and all we have these days are either shitty linear titles that last 6 hours if you're shit at vidya, or open world stuff that amounts to linear games with longer load times as you travel between the relevant areas.

Any game that goes that long is probably of the "kill 100 goblins and get back to me" variety.

Video games peaked some time between PS1 and PS2 IMO.

I miss the days when AAA $60 games could just take place in little vignettes.

MGS2 is a perfect example. If you strip out the story, it's just...

Infiltrate the tanker. Find out where it's headed. Fight Olga. Sneak down to the holds. Take pictures of Ray.

Infiltrate Big Shell. Find out whats going on. Freeze the bombs. Fight Fatman. Find the AK to sneak into the core. Find the DMic Knock out a guard to use him for the biometric scanner. Use the DMic to listen for Aimes's pacemaker. Fight your way out of the core. Disarm the semtex on the Core 1-2 connecting bridge. Fight the harrier. Sneak to the Shell 2 Core. Take out the electric floor and talk to the president. Swim to the filtration chamber. Fight Vamp. Swim to Emma. Escort her to Shell 1 core, providing sniper cover as she crosses the oil fence. Sneak out of Arsenal Gear. Fight the production model Rays. Fight Solidus.

Most decent gamers can do that all that in 3-4 hours and beat the game. But I can still remember all of that because it's all memorable. And they change up what you're doing every 15 minutes or so.

Those were the days/you kids get off my lawn, etc.

Because a game that forces you to grind is not well designed.

And a game that is over 100 hours in its main storyline has grinding in it

I don't give a shit about games that don't respect my fucking time

this, i spent 30 dollars on that shit and barely got 40 minutes out of it

>My top played game is Empire Total War at 1079 hours
How pleb am I Cred Forums?

>400 hours in dark souls
>200 hourse in dark souls 2
>250 hours in dark souls 3
>next most played game is bioshock infinite with only 20 hours

Feels good having good taste in games.

Gonna be one of the first to agree with you, Steamfags do have shit taste. Sure consolefags have taste in shit sports games and bro shooters but they don't throw obscene amounts of hours into them.

>but they don't throw obscene amounts of hours into them.

That's more a function of console equipment not being able to handle extended sessions without melting than their desire to play.

too bad you don't

Thousands of hours in FO3,NV,4,Oblivion,Skyrim,ARK,.
Fite me.

>2100 hours in dota2
>Around 2000 hours in LoL
I realized way too late these games are shit

All those are better than OPs listed games

The 21 year olds were literally raised by Halo and shit.

>Play co-op games with steam friend every other day
>Suddenly stops playing with me
>Played nothing but singleplayer weebshit for over 2 weeks
what's he doing

>10 hours in rome total war
>nothing else
>always online on steam always active
what the fuck do you do?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
WAAAAAAAAAAH
THESE PEOPLE ARE PLAYING GAMES I DONT LIKE
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

>(you)

Reported

300 hours in FTL.

i think you meant "generic early access game" instead of "neo-fallout"
>why do people like what i dont like
>why do people enjoy things i dont enjoy
i only open gmod from time to time to watch youtube with friends on cinema servers
and i play TF2 competitively

>I can never get back all that time spent playing CS:GO and raging at my teammates

>my most played game is "Symphony", the mediocre game that makes simple space shooter levels from your mp3 files

Get on my level

>I usually get annoyed if a game goes longer than 40 hours or so.
Why? No one's forcing you to keep playing. If long games aren't your thing, then go for the bite-sized cinematic experiences desu des.

These are my games, how pleb am I?

Also yeah, I've made a few unwise purchasing decisions I'll admit.
