Wait why did the game end so suddenly?

Wait why did the game end so suddenly?

And is that Jensen a clone who thinks he's the real Jensen? I mean thats what I can infer from the mystery augs sidequest and that ending with the illuminati. I mean did they really pull an MGS V?

He's not. The tie in book explains everything.
Better question: Who's Janus?

Nah, they literally just pulled a Deus Ex.

I wouldn't say it ended suddenly but it just wasn't that exciting

What? But the bodies and the memory things. How did he get unserialized augs then? Why is it revealed in a tie in and what was up with the ending?

But the plot of the game isn't even finished. It was short and too many loose ends. It was interesting when they focused on the illuminati and Bob Page's schemes not aug bullshit. But they never really finished that.

they were added while he was in a coma after panchea. He explains it to Sarif.
The doctor you find dead in the apartment was the one working under a different name in the 451 facility where Adam was held.

Would you live in a comfy futuristic ghetto?

I get the feeling the illuminate is going to do something like secretly spread that super Tuberculosis about like the original game says happened and use it to wipe out mass augs at once since you can foil Marchenko and stop the act passing

Well, what can I say.
My name is Nikolay, I'm from Russia.
I loved the original game (the 2000 one).
Mankind Divided is very beautiful, and more vibrant than Human Revolution, but with only one location (Prague) and the interesting part is the first half of the game while the second half is boooring.
So, for the DLC...
It costs 250 Russian Roubles which is the price of a 10kg watermelon I buy everyday from a grocery store nearby.
Is it worth the money?
I guess, it does: I enjoy a watermelon for an hour, it's really tasty. The DLC is not that tasty of course, it's partially boring, but I get 3 hours of that and so it evens that somehow.
Everything is dark (opposed to Prague) which basically means "we did put crappy textures and boring locations with no detail so that we could release this thing fast and grab some money".
The city area is really boring.
The only interesting part is the bar and its stylish female guardians.
Well, who cares.
Sometimes I buy a watermelon for the price of this DLC and then come home, split it with a knife just to find out that it's not ripe at all.
And sometimes I just have to trash such an unripe watermelon because I can't eat it.
It happens.
I guess, that's the way the life is.
And it's OK.a

But why eliminate augs? Merely as a form of population control or so there's not mass amounts of dangerously enhanced people?

His Augs don't lack serial numbers. Sarif was saying the facility obviously didn't use them to not clue anyone in as to Jensen's identity. Because they were stuffing him with experimental Augs.

Sarif also finds it doubtful that anyone could actually integrate all those test augs into a standard working configuration. He also points out that the whole "they just couldn't identify me" thing is pure bullshit because all Sarif augs are clearly marked with unique ID numbers.

the whole point of trying to poison all delegates and bomb london was to make the UN pass the safe harbour act so they can round all the augs into Golem or Blackpool and simply kill them all off in one go. The Aug incident happened because Darrow wouldn't play ball and meddled. The kill switch was ruined and everyone spazzing as crazy murderers more or less removed the subtlety of having another try and a kill switch.
The Illuminati didn't want the aug incident. It ruined their plans so they wanted to kill all the augs off as a result.

That's the gist of it. Augmented people can be too powerful and that threatens the Illuminati's control. When you're trying to control the world and guide it on the path you think is best for humanity, then you don't want augmented people who can jump twice their height, turn invisible, punch through walls, etc turning against you.

though that does raise some questions. Like if everyone dispises augs and wants them to non-exist, why does versalife still produce nu-po? They turn greater profits through other drugs.

And that line with the illuminati about his memories? You mean they were merely talking about suppressing his memories?

In what DLC? Why can't they just finish the game.

When he wakes up, he has big gaps in his memories and they fill in again over time.

Which is also one of the reasons why Sarif wanted his glorious augmented future. Give everyone CASIE augs for example and you've got a much more civil and perceptive society.

>In what DLC? Why can't they just finish the game.
I was talking about the original deus ex and its "Deus Ex bible" that explains what happens in the game's fictional history, such as Israel being taken over by Arabs and Versalife curing AIDS. It also explains how TB becomes resistant to antibiotics and current medicine (which is pretty much happening in the real world) and becomes a pandemic before the grey death plague Page creates

What did they mean by this?

I'm gonna download the original game. I've heard great things about it. Is there a way I can fuck the world into the dark ages so the illumaniti can't ever have control?

Because many security agencies still have augs in their ranks. People also hate augs in the normal way, not like some mustache-twirling villains. Most people just want to be safe from them and get them somewhere far away.

Yes

Where is that even? Thats what made me wonder if we're playing as the real jensen at all.

I think nu-po still gets phased out and that biochip Reed worked on or Orchid is retooled to be non lethal and removed the need for drugs seeing as they'd need to address that issue between MD and DX.
I know Nu-po wasn't a thing in the original game but somewhere along the line they'll need to addresss it

Not what you think they did.

No I meant when are they actually going to do the TB bullshit in MD? Because nothing really feels finished.

And you sold me. I guess I'll check out what started it all.

no because I think it's already been mentioned in HR or MD somewhere on a TV screen when you sneak around places. It doesn't need to be covered as a major plot line, it's just something I speculated might be done in canon as background information to explain why there's hardly any augs left in the original game

Have they downloaded the DLC yet?

waiting until it's cheaper. Will check back in six months

Oh no!

Download gmdx

>Wait why did the game end so suddenly?
Because you expected them to actually wrap up the series, when they plan to make at least one more game.
I mean
>Climactic Act 3 where everything goes to shit
>Travel out of Prague for the 3rd time
>boss makes a a heroic sacrifice
>race against time
>beat the big villain
>save everyone (or don't)
>surprised when it ends
>but muh illuminati!

Shit but it passed by so fast. And yes muh illuminati. I barely gave a damn about the aug segregation crap. I just wanted to get after page even if jensen canonically wouldn't be able to do anything to him.

there;s a pretty good article here about whether he's a clone or not steamcommunity.com/app/337000/discussions/0/343785380897795568/ (spoilers)

aren't some of the Illuminati augmented?

That's fine because they want to hold all the power.

But if they make all augmented hated, wont the augmented Illuminati then be hated? it's kinda goes against self interest.

Like if i was black i wouldn't want to make everyone hate blacks.

Where the fuck is that?

They aren't overtly visibly augmented. I think Page is the only one that struts around with something visible. They're more into the health-regen and CASIE mods and shit

not precisely because 1) it seems like it's only the common augs that are villainised. Everyone still gets on with Sarif and 2) people in power work with double standards.

I don't get why augmentations merely as prosthesis would be villainised as opposed to just mind bending, hacking, and dangerous augmentations.

You're forgetting about the Aug Incident where tens of millions of people with augments went berserk all the same time across the whole world and thousands. if not millions, of people were killed. It's pretty understandable that people would be weary of anyone with an aug.

>ten quid

FUCK THAT

the DLC artwork is some gay anime shit too

So why did the Illuminati want to eliminate augs? What was the point of all their plans in this game?

Selling sequels.

My point is a simple prosthetic limb in that world needs to have a to brain connection or driver updates?

It'd make sense to try and not crap on the idea and find a work around rather than regress.

Initially they encouraged augs but then Panchaea made them realize it's too risky and could easily work against them so now they want them out.

To consolidate their power. Sarif and companies like his were not a part of their plan which is why they set up TYM to buy them all out. Augs should be kept for the Illuminati and their servants, not the public.

Janus is Volkard Rand, the bald Illuminatus.

PAUL

Why would the Illuminati be using Jensen to lead them to Janus if one of the Illuminati is Janus?

Because they don't know that Janus is Rand.

Because they don't know, you idiot.

They see the augs presence as tearing at the social fabric and so setting back their vision for mankind. That's why Lucius DeBeers is all "KILL THE CLANKS, RACE WAR NOW" at the start.

I suspected. Janus somehow knew too much and was able to disclose alot with little trouble. Should I have confided in the task force Cred Forums?

I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN HONG KONG

I think it's Page trying to collect dangerous hackers and strong them along to get rid of them all when convenient but first let them destabilise the illuminti enough to stage his mj12 coup

UNATCO HURT MY WEENIE

Lucius DeBeers and Beth DuClare are using Jensen to get to Janus, not the Illuminati as a whole. Everett didn't even know who the fuck Jensen was. That's the whole reason Lucius tells them to fuck off and waits until they're gone before talking to Delara.

So what does Janus want? Is he actually rogue or merely controlling the collective?

More importantly, is Eliza Casaan now Adam's Tulpa?

When the fuck? What choices did you make to get her to work with you?

Who knows, probably just disillussioned with their shit. Maybe the other guys never listen to him. I'm pretty sure he was meant to be the one telling them to wait for the referendum at the start of HR as well.

I told her to think for herself in that mission triggered by the glitchy billboard.

That's not my screenshot but I got the same result.

Oh yay. Instead of focusing on that we have to get aug bullshit.

>triggered by the glitchy billboard

What? What mission was that? How did I miss it?

Square enix

REMOVE DUNMER

I require more answers about this pic. So Jensen is a fucking clone?

The book literally goes out of the way to say that Jensen is NOT a clone.

There's a billboard glitching out right outside your apartment complex after you get back from Golem.

Why is he so handsome?

>night Prague
>inspect a glitching ad
>do mission
>don't tell her to fuck off
>she'll "help" you later
Help is in quotes for a reason.

So what happened in that book of Jensen and Pritchard that takes place between HR and MD? Is the book any good?

The book don't mean shit when there is a frozen Jensen in the fucking game.

Saw this steam review today. Is like a new meme or somthing?

And another Jensen in an ice tank doesn't mean that you're playing as a clone for some retarded reason.

That is literally one of the endings you can choose, yes. Are you memeing us user?

Very action filled, it was OK I guess.
Without spoiling too much, basically they stop organized raids of Sarif's manufacturing plants. In the progress Jensen meets Quinn & Vega of Juggernaut, Gunther and TF29.

No I just thought thats one of the best ways to end a secret society that uses misinformation, informational control, technology and huge corporations for control.

Wait till you see the other options

It's OK, though I liked Icarus Effect more. Was pretty depressing to see what happened to Detroit and Sarif Industries.

Well spoil me no more. But I was also wondering how good the stealth mechanics are for DX? I know that the series isn't necessarily a stealth genre but its always been the way I like to play. And what about nano-aug enhancements? And weapons? Whats a good build?

>inb4 prod

No. I may not have played the game so I can't quite judge it but I want to be a super spy agent cyborg not a silly policeman.

What did they mean by this?

There's no way they put in an email about fruit flies and it isn't about Sarif's original VA.

youtube.com/watch?v=sO2WIFTm7n4

That they're trying to make a clone Jensen?

Holy shit.

Where do you find that? I've crawled through everything and I haven't seen anything like it.

The clone stuff is bullshit

Jensen's just an Illuminati sleeper agent

You eat a 10kg watermelon every day?

>The fruitfly problem
>hired an (((infestation specialist)))
>"it's because you guys aren't emptying your cans before putting them in the bin. there's literally nothing to worry about."

I wonder who could be behind this...

Wait. Wait. Was Bob Page actually a jew all along?

Should I read the book hard light before i get this game?

Adam was born in a lab so its more likely that they tracked down one of his genetically identical brothers that escaped White Helix and put him in cryo for later use (after styling his facial hair after Adam apparently). Might be what Duclare found in WHL.

Oh yes
most certainly

er Black Light i meant

You don't need to read it to understand it but it clears a few things like what was Jensen doing before MD

I remember something like that from HR. There was a surrogate mother or something like that and they messed with some dudes dna.

Stick with the prod. Prod with the prod.

Pistols are a good choice for being sneaky. Levels are really well designed for alt paths. Stealth lockpick computer pistols

Swimming is op and breaks thegane if you train it higher than 2

Oh you misunderstand, I'm reading it either way. I wanted to know if i should read it before or after the game.

>Swimming is op and breaks thegane if you train it higher than 2
jesus christ, stop trolling people

I really fuckin' want Jensen to be a clone for some reason

Apparently Black Light proves that he's not, tho

played the game twice now and i still cant remember why jensen's team were sent to dubai

>there are people who don't realize these are prequels
>they'll probably get a bit salty when Jensen makes everything worse then dies

>Apparently Black Light proves that he's not, tho

I looked it up.

Pritchard swipes his hair and runs it through a DNA scanner and it says its the real Jensen.

>System Rift
Man I missed dem top bantz, why is Pritchard such a tsundere?
Nucl3ar Snak3 standalone game when?

What the fuck. Where is this? The Versalife vault?

Seriously though swimming is only useful up o lvl 1 or 2 so you can get certain underwater secrets without drowning

That doesn't prove it isn't a clone though. That just proves it isn't someone without his DNA.

Wouldn't a clone have the same DNA though? That's the whole point of a clone.

Exactly

DUNDUNDUN

Plus, you need the stem of the hair to get any DNA

I've been to the Versalife vault twice and didn't see it there.

I never remembered seeing it at the Versalife vault, and I even went back there twice to make sure I hadn't missed anything

>his tsundere as fuck speeches at the end of Black Light
>I haven't agreed yet.
>But you will. I know how you think.
>This is all I can do to stop you from getting killed too quickly.
Best tsundere.

That makes me want to read it

Is there any consequence for stealing everything inside Miller's apartment? Does he complain about it? Can you sneak in other apartments of equally important characters?

When is the best time to rob the banks?

I remember breaking into Miller's apartment during the day, without even realizing it was Miller's apartment. I was shocked when I saw his profile picture come up on his computer.

And there's no consequences for stealing from anyone's apartment, regardless of who the apartment belongs to.

So no Venom Jensen
Solidus, on the other hand

>break into bosses apartment
>steal shit
>hack his computer
>open his secret room
>leave all doors open, even secret room

Yeah, definitely not a break in.

I think it's an in-joke by now. Some of the more autistic DX fans would probably get mad if you couldn't just steal everything without consequences.

I remember doing all this not counting the secret room because this was before I was meant to break into his apartment, yet he never comments on this later, nor does he comment you or anyone else breaking into his secret room even if you leave a trail of evidence behind.

dlc

This isn't actually in game guys. It's just a troll image, like that one with eliza in person

You actually unlock it if you beat GMDX with Foxiest of the Hounds and then restart the game.

J(ensen) C(lone) Denton

Though Idk why JC's hair genetics are so shit compared to Jensen

Years of hair gel without brushing
Or years of autistically brushing it so hard, treating it like pubes etc

Paul Denton is 10 years old in Mankind Divided. Will we get a DLC with him showing up?

Yeah I'd get annoyed, at least. Half of my playthrough is stealing shit from every apartment ingame.

Also JC Denton is born in the same year as Mankind Divided.

Yeah you'll have to extract him from the congo and fight him on an oil rig. Then he steals your giant robot with his psychic buddy.

Aliens, when?

And then he bangs some bitch wearing nothing but a bra and make up while the Illuminati tries to cheer up Jensen by saying "I'm Adam Jensen and so are you"?

Probably because JC is a clone of Paul not Jensen

>have to place the bug on the NSN servers
>the room is watched by a security camera
>got hyped as fuck for this game, and am in FULL PARANOIA mode so i spend a bunch of time trying to find a way around the camera
>eventually sneak in through the vent, expecting the bug to be discovered later on and the camera feeds investigated
>nothing happens
So disappointed.

Shit, everything is so aesthetic in this game

>No one can actually tell us where this is
Nice photoshop but the head is way too big

It's in the VersaLife vault.

Janus is the bald illuminati guy
> guide spoiled it

No
> everything is shitty and there is barely any food so you will find people who killed themselves everywhere

> got the season pass for it
Adds 3 hours that could have been in main game

I'm glad i refunded the second it all smelled like a cash grab DLC-fest

You will have to pay for the rest of the story in the form of these "Jensen Stories"

>It's just a troll image, like that one with eliza in person
I was fucking looking everywhere for this

They brought that idea up with the new pilot, he just has a normal prosthetic foot or something to replace the one he lost in the aug incident.
