kill urself my man
Nice irony, friend!
Most underrated level of Thief 2. Prove me wrong.
Although that bit there that you screenshotted was tough as fuck to get thrugh, it's best going around and avoiding it alltogether.
>yfw scouting out the best places to set up an ambush to capture that guy you need to get
Such an odd mission for Thief but I really enjoyed playing like a predator in that level.
Surreptitiously meta-gagged, my agreeable consort!
>scouting out the best places to set up an ambush
More like randomly running into the convoy as you're trying to make sense of the maze that is the fucking underground city.
Good thing gas arrows are a thing.
>trying to sanic your way around the level
>not knowing the basic layout from when you played thief 1 anyways
>not enjoying all he changes the mechanists made in their excavations
>not ghosting around in the dark and taking people out
>not setting up gas mines in main patrol paths and then watching as 4 mechanists converge over it at the same time and all get knocked out
>not being up in a high hidey position with a gas arrow or flash bomb ready to pick off anyone who comes to investigate the knocked out bodies
I waited until I was in one of the dark caverns connecting the dig sites, placed some mines, took out his front guard, fired a gas arrow at the rear guards while chucking a flash bomb for good measure then blackjacked my stunned target then made my getaway while everyone was still knocked out or stunned. Felt so fucking good to see that plan come together perfectly.
Yes well I know the proper way to play Thief, it's just that I couldn't do it in this particular mission. Which is why I was butthurt enough to make this thread.
Also fuck the submarine mission.
Lost City in TDP was good but Kidnap was trash.
Fuck you Precious Cargo is underrated.
The submarine level was great though. Why do you hate 2 of the best levels in Thief 2?
I don't think there is a "proper" way to play thief either.
Fuck you, aside from Trail of Blood and Life of the Party it's the best in the game.
>Life of the Party
>all that fucking loot on the rooftops
Fuck you, the bank, police station, and Truart's mansion are better than any of those aside from LotP.
Shit taste.
Trail of Blood > Life of the Party > Kidnap > Precious Cargo > Police Station > Truart's Mansion > Bank Heist
I'd post my tier list I made of every single thief mission but I'm not on my desktop right now.
>tier list I made of every single thief mission
>no love for Shipping and Recieving
I know every inch of that level desu.
I am sorry I can't remember all the level names right now, or how I ranked each level aside from my favourite ones. As I said I wish I had my tier list. When I last played all three I ranked each level from the trilogy by how much I enjoyed it.
Down in the Bonehoard is elder god tier.
...
Thief > Thief: The Dark Project
>Trail of Blood > Life of the Party
>Down in the Bonehoard is elder god tier.
Even fucking Thieves' Guild is better than Kidnap.
Shalebridge and the part with the stone statues in TDS are horrible, fuck those.
I would say the zombie ship too, but I can forgive it because the level is so damn short.
I first got around to play deadly shadows and enjoyed the crap out of it when I was younger, hell I still play it at work on laptop.
Would you guys recommend the metal age? From what I see in these threads ot looks alot better in terms of level design and stuff
This may seem pretty radical and strange but try playing the first game first.
Not same guy but I've heard TDP has aged horribly, even as gold.
Are you sure you're not just a nostalgiafag?
I started playing Thief in 2013. The only significant difference between the first 2 games is that the first one has some levels where you explore ruins and crypts while the second one doesn't.
