well i installed it on steam about a couple of days ago and i can say for certain:

theres so much stuff missing shit that shouldnt be omitted ever but "LOL WHATEVER ITS A BETA" gives them a free pass

the game is laggy as fuck, you cant choose the region to play matches in

also theres lag on the fucking menu (outside the games), its absurd

for what i played the gameplay is fun, but limited and terribly unbalanced

lag compensation is obvious as fuck, but whatever i would have probably dropped the game if it wasnt there, since i keep getting matched with foreigners from regions not even close to mine

the community is just reddit circlejerking over the game talking about menial shit and making memes (as usual) instead of actually trying to fix the game

there is no tutorial, to learn from scratch how to play the game you have to jump in or watch a bunch of videos the devs made

card system is an unnecessary clusterfuck, and the item shop system is trash too

basically: its a beta, try it if you want but dont even think of spending money on it until they make it good, and if they cant make it good, let it die

ill keep trying to play but fuck they are making it hard lmao

also server is off everyday for 7 hours because devs have no idea (they also communicate entirely using reddit)

Great casual fun, don't try to take it seriously and probably don't spend money on it.
Generally faster than overwatch, but still kinda slow. Evie exists though, so everything is all good.
Hitboxes are ridiculous and it seems to be intentional, but that doesn't really matter in a casual shooter.
F2P but it takes like 5 games to get enough gold to buy a new champion and 1 or 2 for a card. In a week you can have literally everything in the game buyable with gold if you're determined.
Needs a couple more game modes and some balance work, and holy shit fix the god damn server selection you colossal retards who thought this was a good idea, but I'm having more fun than I did in Overwatch and it didn't cost me anything. If it improves when it comes out of beta it'll be a pretty great game and maybe I'll buy something, but it is Hi-Rez so my hopes aren't that high.

Pretty fun. Controls are tighter than OW's at least. More fun heroes to use than OW too. The upgrade and card system is what really sets it apart from OW too.

One huge flaw that OW has too, too few game modes.

Feels really cheap and not as responsive as OW. That and the maps are shit. Has more of a MOBA feel to it than a hero shooter.

It's been several threads and STILL no one can name five reasons as to why it is good that relate to just the gameplay and don't mention Overwatch

And also, judging by comments made by developers, this was in development before Overwatch was announced. I mean, these abilities are pretty standard MOBA things. They have the shield guy in Paragon as well and I've never played smite.
