On another note, I think video games should learn from cinema in making great horror games. Look at Alfred Hitchcock and John Carpenter as an example. John Carpenter made Halloween with the intention of scaring the shit out of people. Instead of focusing on violence, he decided to focus on suspense, timing and dialogue. It's kind of ironic because Halloween jumpstarted the slasher flick genre but is everything slashers aren't, and Halloween 4 on up were the absolute worst of the worst as far as mainstream slashers are concerned. A guy who escaped an insane asylum suddenly became yet another mask wearing unkillable boogeyman with supernatural strength.
