It's a Denuvo game, no one will crack it just to play the tacked-on singleplayer.

Focused on what? The multiplayer isn't bad because it's lazy, it's bad because it's less Battlefield and more CoD in a bigger map. They're making a conscious effort to make the game arcadey as fuck for whatever reason. Not that Battlefield had been a realistic take on war or anything, but it was slower and more methodical than CoD ever was. The BF1 Beta didn't feel that way at all.

It's 10 hours of gametime spent in 5 of the maps of your choosing.

Also 2 of the singleplayer campaign missions. Your progress also carries over if you buy the game and if you use up all the 10 hours of free time you get a battlepack in the main game (if you decide to buy it)

Different lighting can make character models look very different, look at MGSV models in Source.
Those models are meant to be shown only in their respective engines, in this case the Frostbite.

Red Orchestra/Rising Storm is the most fun I've had in a FPS and it still has an online active community. It's a bit of an arcade-like shooter at times but it promotes communication and teamwork on a large scale with goofy trench warfare.

BF4 had one of the worst campaigns I've ever played, which is an achievement in itself, since every BF that has an SP mode has a horrendous campaign. At least I have fun with CoDs, nothing in BF4 made any sense especially for how boring the the campaign was.

The thing about CoD is that it's fiction based on reality. It takes place in a real world but it has its own unique story with fictional characters and world events.

BF just tries too hard to be realistic and it's not only bad at it but the stories are all uninspired garbage and completely disjointed.

I can enjoy CoD Story Modes and setpieces on youtube but BF is a completely different story.

I dunno, BC1-2 were pretty wild on assumptions, but that didn't save neither of those games. BC2 was better than BF3 and 4, but BC1 felt like an extension of multiplayer, they didn't even try. 90% of the game is about driving to a capture point and killing enemies in the circle. Jesus Christ, it was so fucking bad.

I thought 1 was okay but 2 was shit. Meh.

BF campaigns always start intriguing, then less than half way through it falls apart, except for bad co 2, I enjoyed that one all the way.
