Bad company 1 was so damn solid, with it's dialogue between the characters. I hate the fact that they put a cap on the comedic dialogue and made them seem more gritty hard ass marines in BC2.

The U.S was founded on unique principles, and is still the only country in the world founded on an idea and a philosophy rather than ethnicity, nationality, language, historical borders, culture, etc. The U.S was founded on the idea of limited government and personal freedom. It was founded on ideas brought forth through thousands of years of Western thought and most of the founding fathers wrote extensively on the subjects of Western philosophy, moral philosophy, on personal freedom and political science, referencing British and other Western thinkers.

The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence was largely utopian. It was important to get the different states to agree to a number of key principles in order to ensure a successful secession from the British and for the establishment of a legitimate nation upon which to build. Africans didn't fight for the British though. They mostly served as porters carrying ammunition etc. There were a tiny number of West Indies troops, and lots of Indians. But not Africans, as far as I can find.
