Everyone deserves an Uendo of their own.

Why was last thread 404'd?

Retarded OP put my pastebin there.

Oh baby!

Ema's hips and legs tho. NGHHHH

Who is undeniably the best AA girl and why is it Rayfa?

Igna had a hard life

...

so is anyone gonna translate this or the one where rayfa is bugging apollo in his office

>Be Apollo
>Walk into office
>See this

Wat do

If it weren't for the DLC coming out for buyfags in two days, I'd say we should start closing up shop and wait for the next game.

These threads are gettin real samey.

>Tells you untie her immediately
>Braclet reacts

>GOTCHA
>You're enjoying this aren't you, Your Benevolence?

>Son, before we part, there's one last thing I need.
>What is it, dad?

>Promise me you'll make a woman out of that magician girl
>Er, yes. I promise, dad.

If that's the case, I'll cook up some OC.

What's your poison? Writefaggotry? Drawfaggotry?

Ignore her and practice my CHORDS OF STEEL

Would've gotten away with everything if it wasn't for bunny slut

Look at the post above yours

but that's not Rayfa

Rayfa is second best

I suppose that's acceptable

*ka-tonk!*

Tie the knot

Was the AA6 visual book ever scanned? It's really irritating that the archive search doesn't work anymore.

Thanks a lot user.

Do I need to beat the game to select costumes?

what's your favorite way to mess with defense attorneys? I personally am a big fan of the classic
>lawyer objects to the witness' statement and presents evidence
>already I can see where he's going to go with it
>tell him he's wrong before he can even make his argument
>keep doing this until he presents that other piece of evidence that could be used to make the same argument

The frustration on their face is hilarious. What's even better is that the Judge listens to everything I say so the defense attorney gets penalized every time.

I think finishing the first episode should be enough.

>Force him to present evidence when he doesn't have to
>bait him into saving his game right at that moment
>now he's forced to receive a penalty no matter what he chooses or how many times he reloads the save

FUCK YOU

DLC Case 2:

>Victim is Thalassa Gramarye
>Defendant is Apollo
>Play as Athena
>Trucy investigative partner
>Prosecutor: Franziska von Karma
>Day 2
>Detective is Gumshoe because von Karma hates Ema
>Ema investigative partner
>Phoenix co-counsel on trial
>Edgeworth joins von Karma as co-prosecutor
>yfw

GAME THEORY: Paul Atishon is a crook.

Guys please help me

What am I supposed to present to Nayuta in the very end?

>dragons
>ever yielding

Apollo is a good boy, he would never get accused

The badge

>he refuses

Thanks for nothing

Oh, sorry. Meant Dhurke's badge.

He'll refuse it anyway

Yeah, but it's the correct answer.

brilliant, I'm impressed

I just want to see Gummy

Wait a minute, that shadow...

OH GOD

I want to science the shit out of Ema!

>inb4 the real Ema committed suicide after the events of AJ and this one is just Brushel wearing a super advanced costume

>Brushel was actually the Phantom
youtube.com/watch?v=d7jv1ticnf0

>tfw probably the only who doesn't hate brushel

brushel is kind of neat as a character, he's actually a great investigative reporter - he's on level with phoenix, at least

it's just that his animations and overall grossness is kind of weird

i'd take him any day over this faggot, though

I don't remember hating him as a character, but I do remember him being one of the ugliest, weirdest looking motherfuckers in the series.

Course, it has been a good while since I last played AJ so maybe I would remember to hate him if I went back and played it again.

He was gross and the fact that you had to focus on his body to search for sweaty armpits made him even worse.

>421 clients 380 of which have are for free

>of which have are for free

user?

...

He looked gross, but I dug the sleazy reporter vibe from him. He wasn't that stupid either if iirc, digging up the dirt on the Gramaryes and figuring out that he was being watched/stalked.

>inb4 he worked for Retinz and spilled all the Gramarye gossip to him

It definitely felt like Retinz knew more about the Gramaryes than he was letting on.

>be a revolutionary hero
>now must take part in yak milking and god knows what other they do in Khura'in for free
Even when he wins, he still loses

What's so gross about him? I never played AJ

>not all of them
Such is the fate of Wright&co lawyers.

Also,

youtube.com/watch?v=hbNzlCdMbfY

>paul atishon's theme has YOOOOOOO

>Not doing panty raids with the Stickler
pleb

He's definitely a registered sex offender.

>Ema's fingers in the prostate massage formation

But what if he gets the offer to become king.

I mean, depending on your perspective that could easily be either "winning" or "losing".

...

Do you have one of Rayfa's armpits?

So how does Captain Cripple legs Waifu work

If i crawl under her, take her boots off and start licking her feet, will she feel it? Can i do it without her feeling it or is her situation more like "I can feel things but i can't move my legs"

She can walk, idiot. Did you even play the game?

she's pretending to be crippled

It doesn't because she's not a cripple. Also foot fetish is disgusting.

>Don't talk to me or my husband's daughter ever again

You didn't even finish the case you dumb dumb

Did someone say legs?

>foot fetishits don't even play the games
Disgraceful.

This was cute. We haven't seen many of Trucy/Edgeworth interactions but I like how they clearly seem familiar around each other.

that animation she's in right there looked so fucking weird

I don't know, Edgeworth seems kind of uncomfortable.

When is Edgeworth not uncomfortable with anything involving human contact?

That's what makes it cute. Also, Edgeworth is most certainly uncomfortable with every physical interaction.

I havent gone through the case yet, but i think the plot twist is that she's not actually crippled

Embarrassing

Sarge is the killer.

About that...
Minor DLC spoiler, boys.

Edgeedge was like I'm NOT getting married ever, tyvm. Everyone just kind of gave him shit over that, to which he went "What's wrong with a man deciding to be unwed?!?"

Sarge also kisses Apollo

>That Datz

I miss her.

I kinda wish that we could see the sentence that the killers get. Though I'd imagine many of the first-degree murderers would get death/life in prison

There's something I don't understand
Dr. Buff discovered the secret and left to hide it. On his way to the door he sees his kid passed out by the veranda
And he just fucking leaves it be even when coming back

I know AA is like "Bad parenting: The game" but that doesn't make sense

You know who I'm glad doesn't exist anymore?

Larry. Datz was a very good replacement.

I liked the first four cases of Spirit of Justice.

The last case was lame. I predicted too many of the twists too early. Plus the villain was basically told to you early on via their transformation.

AAI2 confirmed some of them get extended sentences.

>he didn't play AAI2

Poor Edgeworth, I totally understand him. Also, does Nick really give him shit for that? He's 35 and still hopelessly single as well.

Oh, my sweet, sweet summer child...

But Larry does exist.
He's even appearing in the DLC case.

He's in this game though?

If you examine the coat/shoe rack near the doctor's desk, Apollo and Dhurke note there is a back door on the opposite wall (the one you're looking into the room from) Dr. Buff must have used recently due to the dirt and moss on the shoes not being anywhere else in the room. He left and came back from that back door on the first floor to avoid alerting anyone instead of taking the main entrance on the second floor.

It was the way he said it, I think. It came across as uncharacteristically childish, or something. I don't remember the context very well.

No you don't, she's absolutely terrible of a person

I know about AAI2 and Sahwit. Though his wasn't premeditated, so I would imagine he didn't get long. But what about all the others? That's what I'd be curious about

I want to see Phoenix and Iris hang out desu. I don't ship them anymore, but I want them to have that friendly ex relationship.

...

...

The bald monk was an assassin. It looks like he'd been there a while.

Gross

It's cute, but _Kay_ is going to drag him down the aisle.

Manfred got a death penalty on the hyper speed of several months.

Probably pushed for it to be as fast as possible on his own accord, given his views on failure.

...

>we'll never get a flashback case to Edgeworth prosecuting Dogen
>DeKiller will never ever be caught
Professional assassins in AA are always the best characters.

...

...

I made some Kayworth writefaggotry years ago, but now that their relationship feels kind of surrogate father/daughter, I just feel weird about it.

Why does Apollo not seem to know Lamiroir is his mother? I thought that shit was made clear in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney?

why are you giving me ship material while I'm asking for friend material

I did say I don't ship them anymore

Sometimes I wonder if the Dahlia/Iris thing gave Phoenix trust issues when it comes to romance.

No, she never told him.

Doubt it was death penalty, he was old and kept his injury for fifteen years. I imagine he already was practically on deathbed

Phoenix tells Franziska in AA2 that even if she manages to defeat him, it won't bring her father back or something along those lines.

> Junko grin
please don't scare me like that

Are you a fat 13 year old girl?

I'd hate to be his defense attorney that's for sure

It might be that Manfred couldn't accept his defeat and committed sudoku after that.

I don't remember this pose. Did they not use it?

>she still has her Snackoo habit

Bleh.

>she nibbles on them timidly instead of being an obnoxious snob

Okay, that's actually really cute.

>that sad pout

T-Too.... freaking... cute...

Nah, just a turbofaggot write/drawfag.

>pearls theme

> implying Manfred would try to get a defense attorney to begin with

>green outfits

???

Ever heard of the term, "green with envy"?

Those outfits aren't green, it's just the quality of the scan I think.

let Wright finish with her

Show her that true Dragon spirit

>Dem legs
Erected everytime

Will Phoenix ever get a new objection theme again? Or is he gonna stay having a remix of Mia's?

Objection theme's are passed on at death user.

>Mia's
It wasn't even her's. It was the objection theme of T&T. Mia, Phoenix, and Miles all shared it

it kind of bothers me how they just adapted a bunch of T&T songs as "character themes"

Larry's is a remix of the generic Eccentric People theme, which sucks in T&T

>Iwadare wanted to make Phoenix a new Objection theme for DD
>they told him to remix the T&T one instead
It's not going to change anytime soon, I think.

Larry has his own theme in T&T and SoJ.

Can we all agree that T&T's examination allegro is the best in the series?

Does he? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else

The theme still sucks, though

Yes. It fits Dahlia's cross-examinations SO well

>tfw I only just got the joke in Elise Deauxnim's name, after eight fucking years

I think that AJ's is the best
youtube.com/watch?v=FXigFDxNUeI

I actually like the moderate one better.
This is still the best allegro
youtube.com/watch?v=HK2VLhbSaoc

There's a joke?

>didn't go to Cred Forums to avoid spoilers since the release of this game
>finally finished it earlier today
>find out threads are already almost dead
Fuck

both she and Larry use it as their pseudonym

This is the most active Ace Attorney threads have been since DD which is understandble but they're far from dead

It's okay to be late to the party user

What'd you think of the game overall?

get embarrassed and untie her because if i'm apollo i am a repressed virgin

so what's the source?

It was pretty fun. Really disliked the first case because of the god fucking awful names and because you were forced to watch the animations every single line. Second, third and fourth were much better, though I saw half the twists in the third case coming form a mile away. Athena was just plain annoying in the third case by considering to kill herself because Nahyuta kept saying so, but Simon made up for it.

Fifth case was just really annoying, the testimonies were weak, they kept having 30 minutes of two people talking about their feelings in the middle of court, and the whole nayna thing was really heavily foreshadowed. It's a real shame, because the murder method is really clever and could make for a great case, but because there was so much shit surrounding it the testimonies were really weak and boring.

Most of the new characters were pretty good, I loved most of them. Especially Datz. I rather liked Roger Retinz' animations a lot as well.

Amnesic kay is best kay.

Athena was annoying in the fourth case*
My major complaint is that a lot of the testimony looked like this:
>Testimony: Why I didn't do it
>How could you even think of accusing me?
>That's just ridiculous!
>You have no proof that I committed the crime!
>Wow I hate you, how could you do this to me!
>Lawyers are scum and should all die!
And then you present evidence to the third statement. Nothing clever. Nothing about finding contradictions. Just a whole lot of empty statements to press.

Also when you made a correct profile choice and the game showed a minute of flashbacks on why it was the correct choice. I understand that it's for explaining it to people who just guessed it, but almost all of them were ridiculously obvious.

The breakdowns since the switch from 2d to 3d are kinda lame. Where's all the anger? Where's the fancy animation?

>Nigger are you serious? This game had some of the best breakdowns in the series

I didn't mean for that be a quote the fuck?

DD probably had more swanky breakdowns than SoJ, but they're still pretty good

The breakdowns in this game were pretty memorable to me.

And the DLC case is the first timea breakdown gave me feels.[/spoilers]

Rimes, Retinz, and Cosmos have the best breakdowns in the whole series. Not every breakdown has to be an angry one

The only breakdown I liked was Reus, otherwise all the SoJ breakdowns lacked any sort of impact for me

So there any books with twists, intrigue and mystery like AA/Ghost Trick/Hotel Dusk?

Best breakdown in the series is from DGS though.

youtube.com/watch?v=RBSt_x5DwV4

The 3D breakdowns can be good sometimes.
youtube.com/watch?v=dEqQ_SqNV3c

How long until the fan translation

>It's a Magician episode

Just finished the game today.

I saw Dhurke being dead from a mile away.

I was really hoping I'd be wrong though. I just want Apollo to have a happy family.

There needs to be porn of this

>Help her out

>OH
>HOLY
>MOTHER
>BLESS OUR UPCOMING SEX

Love Junkie is the closest thing we will ever get

fuck this got me a lot. I deserved it.

Explain something to me

Why did Inga have a copy of Kurain's Lawbook with the brand of the Dragon on it?

>It's that part of the case where you know something is wrong or doesnt fit

>But it seems too obvious and you can probably figure it out

>It happens

>It's not the real plot twist though

I love it when they do this, otherwise finding out Bonnie twins and Cripple can walk were too easy

>Ema and Trucy have a stage show together
>"Welcome everyone to Trucy Wrigh-"
>Ema takes the mic out of her hands
>"MAGIC IS JUST UNEXPLAINED SCIENCE."
>Tears down all the props and walks off stage.

Cripple-chan being able to walk isn't significant to the case though

>Pic related will never be canon.
Dahlia deserved better ;_;

Are you talking about the picture of amara holding baby rayfa? That wasn't taken in inga's home.

youtube.com/watch?v=abdX3zjq6-s

Then where was it taken?

I liked Means' breakdown except for the broken teeth. I felt sorry for him for that. Hope he got dentures in prison

She used it first, by all rights it's hers.

The composer for SoJ is the same one from T&T, unlike the previous two games in the trilogy. He's a hack who can't make anything new.

Technically she didn't use it first, since her game came later. Chronology doesn't work unless you believe everyone walks around playing music everywhere.

Nick had two different objection themes in the first two games.

Mia is the first person you play as in T&T, with a new objection theme. She's also the secondary protagonist. In PLvAA and most other media, Nick's "theme" is a remix of his AA1 objection theme.

youtube.com/watch?v=f5Ebz58jzlI
youtube.com/watch?v=NWdhp3NXfk4
youtube.com/watch?v=Lbv5AJDh9o8

So no, Phoenix's theme is the AA1 objection, Mia's theme is the T&T one.

>Dear Daddy, I love you very much.
>You are always so kind to me.
>I hope you live to be 100 years old!

Monstrous Turnabout still had the biggest upside down ruse twist i have ever seen

It works really fucking well because it's one of the very few times you and Apollo figure it out at the exact same time

A Vote for Paul Atinshon is a vote for the best breakdown in the series.

oh come on m8

iwadare's made 3 games' worth of courtroom themes, I don't like all of his stuff but it's plain unfair to call him a hack

by the way he was just the lead on soj, there were two other composers on it

So when's Polls gonna get accused of murder? It's not fair how it never gets to happen to him. Everyone else gets one.

How can people like Reus's breakdown? It was long but way too lame.

It's Nick's game and he uses it more so it's his.

The devs said they're open to fan feedback for what they want to see in AA7, just tweet them you want to see Apollo put on trial for Thalassa's murder. :^)

T&T Is Nick and Mia's game. You play as her in two whole cases and it's the first game where she appears in every single case to bail Nick out.

Because he's a good boy, he'll never get accused. He's basically the opposite of Maya. Also Pearl hasn't been accused either, though that could change now since she's getting to that age where she wants to go out to the cities and party

You play as Nick more. It doesn't matter because he gets main character privilege. No matter what, the themes will always be associated most with Nick.

Makes me wonder if Nick ever actually surpassed Mia. She was pretty much considered the best attorney in the series, but then I believe it's unknown if she ever goes up against Von Karma, since he was still undefeated until 1-4. It doesn't really seem like it much since she always seemed to have all the answers, though that could be some kind of dead spiritual foresight shit.

>Hurrr I don't know what two protagonists are

She was never considered the best attorney. By anyone. Ever. Literally no one ever said this. No one even remembers her now. She was an attorney for half a decade, but her reputation was never anywhere near Nick's.

>Inga wasn't 100% evil like most AA baddies

Breath of fresh air

;_;

The trilogy was essentially about Nick surpassing Mia, and he does so in 3-5.

Then a month after she leaves him for good he gets disbarred, and in DD and SoJ he's incompetent, so... I guess he never did.

That's not how it works. Everything is still done through Nick's perspective. When you 'play' as Mia, Nick is actually going back through old case files.

>I never played AA

Grossberg says that she and Greg were the best attorneys of the profession.

Also, she always had all the answers because she was always involved with the cases in some way. It's the same deal as how Nick had seven years of prep time in AA4. Especially when it comes to matters concerning the Fey clan. Literally no one would be more knowledgeable on those matters than her.

>and in DD and SoJ he's incompetent

nice meme

That's one person. Nick's reputation is ridiculous. A school made a statue of him.

...

>DD and SoJ
>incompetent
Not only does he manage to uncover the truth behind an incident that created the "dark age of the law" but also won twice in a country that is 10x more stacked against the defense than Japanifornia. I'd say that counts for quite a lot.

Part of the issue here, though, is that we don't really know what kinds of cases Mia did aside from two; one against a rookie Edgeworth and one against Payne. We don't know what her record was, though we can only assume it was very good. We don't know what kind of opposition she had, like if she ever went up against Von Karma. Gregory was considered her equal and even he only managed to get Von Karma a penalty at best.

Basically, all we know about Mia is that she was a good attorney, but we don't know enough to compare her experiences to Nick, especially since he tends to largely take on 'impossible' cases.

Phoenix won against Von Karma. Twice.

That alone puts him over 99% of attorneys

I was referring to his general personality. You would think that after everything he did in the trilogy he would be a bit more unflappable and not as easily flustered as he is.

Mia was a renowned lawyer, Phoenix is legendary one.

He definitely seems to get more fame than the old little Fey & Co. did.

>Won against Franziska

That's not saying much desu senpai.

He's talking about Manfred user. 1-4 was 2 trials, one for Gregory, and one for the other guy who was murdered by Yogi

I was referring to Manfred, who had never lost before Phoenix. I'd guess Franziska was decently high in the prosecutor tier list though, as was Edgeworth by the time of AA1.

I think that's just how he is, compared to Mia and what we see of Gregory who were more calm. However as far as we see Mia isn't abused nearly as much as he is either. It doesn't necessarily mean he's worse.

He also tends to appear more calm when we see him from the perspective of other characters, aside from Maya anyway.

How wet would you have been if this played during the last section of 6-5?

youtube.com/watch?v=cx0zW3MkaA0

I'm still mad that they didn't play it

would've made it too on the nose what they were doing with this case

What matters are results. Up until the Engarde case, he was undefeated. That's unheard of for an attorney. And don't forget, Nick was able to accomplish what Mia and Greg weren't. Even if he's more easily flustered, he still has the better track record.

Maybe next time

Having finished 6 i will now proceed to play 5, and then 4, then 3 and not play 2 because anime
How much does this trigger an average fan?

Just a reminder that Vs. has the best girls.

Yes it counts, majority of the girls are Ace Attorney styled.

Kira is cute too.

Very triggered. I hope you have fun.

anyone got a webm/gif of her transformation and her hand motions during testimony?

What hips?

>Science Maya
>The best

I was expecting it but it didn't came.
Maybe it would have been too much "poetry".

>Science Maya
You mean "Useful Maya" right?

No, I mean Bitchy Maya.

Over a million times!

>No I mean bitchy Maya
Well you should've said that at first
Also

Forensics > Getting Kidnapped and accused :^)

no I mean "Munch munch munch munch munch munch munch Maya"

>He doesn't remember that Maya channeled Mia to help Nick figure out where she was.

At least Maya doesn't make Nick jump through hoops to keep her ass out of jail and then repay him by sucking off Edgeworth :^)

>So useless that she has to call on the help of others. Even more useless since her little cousin could do her job better than she could

At least Ema can stay out of jail and her character isn't waste of space.
>Nick help, I'm in trouble again!
>We'll be fine, we never lost a case together even though I haven't done shit to contribute myself
>Lose the trial
>But you have to believe me, I didn't do it!

>Pearl
>Better
>When Pearl straight up admits that Maya did something she couldn't in 3-5

>Maya
>Waste of space
>When she gave Nick tips on Cross-examining, gave him decisive evidence in 2-1, 1-4, and stopped Pearl from channeling Dahlia in 3-5.

Compared to Ema who
>Makes Nick do all the work because she's a shitty detective
>Makes Apollo do her job because she's a shitty detective
>Legitimately thinks that a blind kid can shoot a revolver.

You're right, Barnham is best girl material

He's definitely a good prosecutor. A whole shitload better than Blackquil.

not really triggered, but you are kinda stupid

Plumed Punisher > Steel Samurai

>light armor to move around quicker, Steel Samurai has bulky armor he can't even turn in
>uses the dagger of a fucking goddess, Steel Samurai has some gay as fans
>based on Rayfa, best girl
>only slightly worse theme than Steel Samurai

Fight me nerds

Maybe, but both are obsessed about their hobbies, both have pets, and both thrive for what they believe in, it's hard to not want them to meet up for some autism antics

It's not that I don't like them, but all the newer breakdowns are a little...over the top I think.

The 2d breakdowns had little "extra" things, no random lights appearing, no wind and ship rocking, no election results. It just had the villain lose it.

Plumed Peniser doesn't even have her own ringtone

>liking literal government propaganda

I bet you think a dragon yields.

I'm sad that they didn't play this theme more, it's so much better then the steel samurai rip-off theme youtube.com/watch?v=koZci_Z6k6Y

They still have breakdowns like those. Ga'ran's was pretty much just her going insane.

>>light armor to move around quicker, Steel Samurai has bulky armor he can't even turn in
Light armor a shit. Who gives a fuck about mobility when I can't be hurt?
>>uses the dagger of a fucking goddess, Steel Samurai has some gay as fans

>>only slightly worse theme than Steel Samurai
Only slightly worse? Don't kid yourself user.

...

>wweeeee

for the most part they are break down in there heads.

Just saw who Nayna truly is and took a break

I hope I'm only half way through the court battle because if I come back to it and only have like two testimonies left I'll cry because of the poor timing of the break.

Besides my theory is that there will be one more seanance and it'll be Apollo's dad.

I feel like I have a good handle on things or at least in a shallow way and that is Amara may be the super heel and actually not Ga'ran. Or at least, I hope so. Because while I like Ga'ran she just feels too predictable as the last boss and Amara being the true mastermind behind everything would be a lot more refreshing and honestly shocking.

I'm probably way off base on both things but either way this case has been a great ride so far.

Underrated post

Enjoy the ride.

KEK

Plumed Punisher isn't based on Rayfa tho.

If anything, she's the protector of TittyMonster!Rayfa

The Nayna is the former queen and Dhurke is dead and being channeled twists were way, way too obvious. I too saw them from a mile away. The first very early on in the Khura'in section of Turnabout Revolution, the latter when Dhurke was talking about being near death in the detention center.

I also hated how obvious it was that Ga'ran was going to be the bad guy, and that Amara was going to be Rayfa's mom, and that Ga'ran and Inga were not Her Benevolence's biological parents. For a little while in the midst of the final trial, it really looked like they weren't going that route, and Amara was going to be Inga's murderer, and I was proud of the game, but nope.

What if that was Rayfa's keikaku all along?

What if all she wanted was to know how it feels to have an unyielding dragon within her, too?

My my if you aren't special.

I used to play brushel all the time on AO and I made sure to always be completely obnoxious and a terrible reporter/liar.
I miss those days, I got a fuckton of people pissed off at me, although it made the cases more fun because more developments

Like pottery

Thanks user!

Does someone have a webm of the scene where Dhurke gets shot but keeps going

That shit was cool

>Did you really think that a peashooter like that...
>Could kill a dragon?

One of the best moments in the game,

Replayed Dual Destinies to see what I think of it now. 5-2 and the DLC case were good. 5-1 was what it was. 5-3 was dumb, but fun.

5-4 was interesting as a mystery, but 5-5 was just the corniest shit ever. It baffles me that people say Apollo was edgy in this game. After he comes to the stand to accuse Athena, all you do is press him a few times and he immediately goes into "P-please Mr. Wright, I-I want to believe in her!' which leads into a ridiculous scene about "the true nature of trials" which read like a law-themed after-school special. Don't even get me started on that anime shit that initiated the final breakdown.

The best things to come out of DD were the Apollo/Athena team and based Blackquill. So it's a good thing SoJ had both of those.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The fucking founder is never channeled?! You fucks have all the pieces!

Also does the DLC contain cases or is it just extra story content?

There is a full-on case that's being released on the 29th I believe

The Asinine Attorney things are just comedy skits with no bearing on canon

Turnabout Time Traveler takes place after the main game

Anyone else notice a theme with the kinds of cases each lawyer gets?

Athena's cases seem to be built around unusual personal motivations and personalities.
Apollo's cases aren't very complex, but have strong ties to pre-established rules and traditions. It's less about figuring out who the guilty part is, and more about actually getting the guilty party declared guilty.
And Nick deals mainly with the most off the wall shit with the most bizarre circumstances. Seriously, whales, a sociopath who makes death leaps like they're nothing, time travel. His cases are the ones that have everyone collectively go "What the fuck, man".

Nahyuta was a boring as fuck prosecutor and his bantz were weak.

Give me blackquill back

I want to FUCK Shih-na

Nick is also the one you go to when you need to take care of unresolved shit from the past.

So basically,
Athena: People and their motivations
Apollo: Rules, family and traditions, how they affect people and circumstances, and how to overcome them if they get in the way.
Phoenix: Crazy shit and shit from the past that no one else was able to resolve

Trucy visits Apollo in Kurahin and he says he's magic assistant to a new girl.

She gets jealous and asks why and starts seeing how well-treated he is.

What hijinks ensue?

No. Probably not. Trucy's not the type to get jealous.

Blackquill is great and i would put him above Barnham.

Barnham is definitively better than:Franziska, Klavier, Godot, His Boss, Ga'ran, Nahyuta

It's hard to say if Barnham was a better prosecutor. The cases in AAvsPL weren't really that interesting. I feel like they weren't really good enough to show Barnham's own worth.

maya will channel the Holy Mother

I can't think of a single worse 3D breakdown than Kristoph's. But then most of the "worsts" in the franchise and none of the bests belong to AJ.

It was still better than AA4.

best prostitute!

You know.

At least none of the witnesses since AA4 were as annoying as Oldbag or Lotta.

At the same time, though, it's honestly a shame that none of the witnesses give the newer prosecutors as much grief as they did Edgeworth. Then again, that was kind of a thing since Franzy. Edgeworth always did have the hardest time getting witnesses to say their names.

I'd love to see Blackquill utterly flabbergasted.

le end quote was up there though

It was really boring how his entire gimmick was just "lol kill yourself". Over and over again.

And then Athens starts fucking considering it.

He had more to him than that, it's just criminally underused. His "diligent research of case background and foreign culture" shtick is gold

I had a math professor that looked dead on like him. He'd finish a calculus sample then turn to the class and ask "Any questions?", then immediately proceed to smile with all teeth out as he finished, which every time I think oh fuck it's that guy from Apollo

He was a good professor.

>Replaying Ace Attorney 1
>Meet Sal Manella
>He's using l33t speak

Oh god. I suddenly don't wanna replay this anymore. I completely forgot about this.

No tricks.
No gimmicks.
Only science.

lol cringe amirite...

Multiple personalities is a shitty plot point for hack writers.

I hate you.

What are you looking at, user?

Oh come off it. It suits a series like this just fine. Remember Engarde and his glass of wine that came out of fucking nowhere?

my phone

>it suits a series like this just fine to use a fake disorder as a lazy plot device

Well. Yes. It's used every other cliche in the book until now, why not that one?

>5-2 was good

Even the game pointed out it was convoluted as fuck.

>this triggered about 2005 memes

Stop being autistic.

But that's okay since Uendo's split personality is completely irrelevant to the actual crime.
Same thing happened in 6-2.

ITT: things that will never happen

Well, AA7 probably won't be a thing until like 2018 or 2019.
Will it be on NX?

...

I just have a question
What the fuck was Inga's plan? Why even agree to the meeting if he knew shit was weird?

He still needs the orb

>that awkward moment when you invite your mom to wedding only to find out yu're marrying your half-sister

>shit talks crazy queen at gunpoint
>BTFO of her in front of the whole country
>destroys every dumb law she ever passed with one Objection
>gives her the Founder's Orb she wanted as a final fuck you to her
>DOES THE STUPID ANIME GUST OF WIND THING AND SOMEHOW MAKES IT BADASS

BASED JUSTICE

Where were you when Apollo Justice won the Attorney Bowl?!

Kisegawa is cute. CUTE.

He hasn't. Ga'ran isn't actually that great of a prosecutor, she just relies mostly on flaunting her power. Maybe when he goes up against more competent competition.

DON'T MAKE AA7
JUST END THE SERIES HERE PLEASE

Kill me.

>gets shot three times
>bluffs

I would've lost my shit if he presented his Attorney Badge.

Dhurke Sahdmadhi: Ace Attorney when?

Eh. Polly's not allowed to have a great rival. Klavier never treated him as any sort of rival, and was more help than harm. Ga'ran is probably one of the worse prosecutors in the series. Not to mention, Polly's cases are usually less complex and confusing than some of the others.

>Hey dude I know I killed you and I have no fucking hostage (Implying Rayfa), can you come and give me the orb I cant fucking use? K'thanks bye

>Edgeworth will never be playable again
>Blackquill will never be playable
>Ema will never be playablel

That's technically his sister.

>implying not Amara
>implying not Nahyuta
>implying he knew

Actually, while Franziska is your partner briefly in T&T, she mentions her father having been executed.

>implying he didn't enjoy being made Ga'ran's bitch

Adopted, Apollo's not related to Dhurke at all... now Sad Monk on the other hand

Yeah I kind of get that too. I mean he did win against Simon, but Klavier was just way too friendly and even helpful. I also don't think Nahyuta and Ga'ran are that skilled, although that does kind of make sense, as much of Nahyuta's experience came from Khura'nim and Ga'ran hasn't even been in court in 23 yearts.

I'll give you that, solving the riddle was a plot point so he probably thought it just worked

But come on
>Hey its Dhurke
>What are you doing outside your box, you crazy
>Better keep my guard down, he surely will forgive me, and I have this empty fun to protect myself

Much of the challenge of the trials actually came directly from Khura'in's unique court system. It's even more biased against defense attorneys than Japanifornia's, and they're even able to directly show the last moment's of the victim's life. So the prosecutors don't HAVE to be competent. Even a buffoon like Gaspen Payne can be considered a good prosecutor there. The only thing that matters for a prosecutor of Khura'in is to be able to follow up the imagery with words. Since the imagery would easily be more than enough to pose as decisive evidence, the prosecutor barely has to do anything at all.

The only reason Nick or Polly had a hard time at all was due solely to the fact that the trials took place in Khura'in.

Exact same boat. Really enjoyed it, but I'm wondering...I don't remember Athena being quite as big a doofus/punching bag in the last game; is that a direct result of that poll which showed Japan didn't give a fuck about her?

I kind of got the impression that Edgeworth and Ema's credits conversation strongly hinted at a possible Investigations 3. As long as they forget to invite Kay, I'd be all over that.

He already figured the whole thing out the moment he heard Dhurke. He didn't really need to worry because realistically there isn't much Dhurke could do.
The gun was broken but can't remember if it was empty.

Is the last case out yet? Releasedate should be today right?

I think they just wanted to ease the tension a bit with Athena. There's always a case like that, something that's a little sillier than the rest, even if they all involve murder.

I wish Athena got a bigger chance to shine, though.

Nick would make a great detective. He's better than most detectives in the game

Well Apollo did have a hard time in 6-2, but that was mainly because of Retinz being so hyper-competent. But yeah Khura'in was just easy mode for a prosecutor.

I think the point was probably supposed to be she didn't have Nick or Apollo there to back her up, and to show that her main weakness is that she's easily intimidated. Of course said poll could be a part of it as well, considering how big of a role Apollo got when he probably got #1.

I haven't actually seen the last poll though.

Detectives in AA are controlled by prosecutors, so if a prosecutor doesn't will it, then the detectives won't catch it. Besides, they have salaries. They don't have to stress out or risk their lives to just get a not guilty verdict so they don't have to try as hard.

Yeah, but then he wouldn't be able to slam on desks as much.

Besides, with his current job, he gets to do the work of a detective AND an attorney! And get paid less than either! Because he's a bleeding heart schmuck!

It's sad knowing that Trucy probably makes more money than Nick, Polly and Athena do combined. I mean, it's not as if most of their clients can pay very much, and a lot of the time they probably just take cases as favors since many of their clients are friends.

I do like to believe that they get rewarded handsomely for their services from time to time, though. It's hard to imagine Edgeworth or Lana being stingy with Nick after all he did for them.

I'm referring to the Niconico poll they did shortly following GS5's release in Japan. Apollo came in first, Phoenix was third, and Athena was down in 11th behind both Fool Bright and Sebastian Debeste

any GS6 nico polls?

Google isn't pointing to any, and I only know about the other one from Court-Records' news feed.

Nick is not a man for never hitting on Adrian during 3-2. She was pretty much idolizing Nick and Edgeworth by that point, and was even hotter than before

Nick doesn't hit on anything besides doors and desks.

Personally, I think lawyer powers feed off of libido. The better a lawyer you are, the weaker your sexuality. So the best lawyers are all asexual.

I'm still not sure why Apollo gets so high. I would figure Edgeworth would be first, and as with most JP polls it's pretty obvious that it is dominated by the otome vote.

Muh crack ships

Miles Edgeworth x Calisto Yew
Athena Cykes x Owen
Reyfa Padma Khura'in x Barbed Head (unrequited by Wright)
Trucy Wright x Betty de Famme
Armie Buff x Apollo Justice
Dick Gumshoe x Ema Skye
Lamiroir/Mother of Justice x Phoenix Wright
Mr. Reus x Kristoph Gavin (bffs in prison)

idgaf

Because Apollo got so much backstory and sympathy in DD. As well as a layer of complexity when he went after Athena.

Honestly, sympathy is probably the greatest thing a character can have. If the audience sympathizes with them, it's the key to popularity.

In many respects, Nick doesn't have as much going for him as the other characters. No tragic pasts, no shocking revelations, nothing truly worth sympathizing with him over. His monologues are more fun than the others, and to be honest, I think he's really the most entertaining of the employees when doing his job, but all that really does is keep him from falling behind.

I think you nailed it man. It's all about having a sympathetic backstory and being a sympathetic character. Apollo was showered with attention in DD and SoJ, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's #1 right now. By the end of AJ I wasn't particularly impressed with him, but the last two games did a lot for him.

Wasn't Apollo super popular even before DD though? I dunno, I guess it's hard for me to see since he's not a bishonen and he isn't particularly interesting imo. I mean I appreciate all of the backstory but I don't feel like he has much of a personality.

He was somewhat popular, but he was still less so than Nick and Edgeworth. DD was when he truly began to shine.

Yeah.

Though, honestly, I think Nick could have a lot more going for him if they'd just show him have more moments with his daughter. People eat that shit up man. Just give him a strong moment with his kid and it could give him a shit-ton of points.

Aside from that, they could also give him some really key "mentor" moments with Polly and Athena. Inter-character relationships are also vital to character popularity. How a character interacts with others can easily make or break them. As both the boss of the Wright Anything Agency AND Trucy's father, Nick is actually in a prime position to win a huge ton of points. All the writers would need to do is take advantage of his position.

>Even a buffoon like Gaspen Payne
Actually, was it just me, or was Payne pretty fucking competent in this game?

It's not hard to look competent given what tools he has at his disposal as a prosecutor of Khura'in.

Also, remember: out of all the prosecutors of Khura'in, he's probably the only one who actually has any experience against defense attorneys within the last decade.

>Also, remember: out of all the prosecutors of Khura'in, he's probably the only one who actually has any experience against defense attorneys within the last decade
>who is Nahyuta

>there isn't any Ga'ran or Amara prototype concept art
>but the literal whos from the first three cases get their concept art in

Wow, thanks for nothing Capcom.

Does anyone know a place where I can download Trials and Tribulations's OST at high quality? Have SoJ's in exchange:

Part 1: drive.google.com/file/d/0B4atLqCvfqJcRFdSdkhCemRyREE/view
Part 2: drive.google.com/file/d/0B4atLqCvfqJcU1VxYUVwUmY1Y3M/view

According to the Visual Guidebook, Apollo and Nahyuta are "childhood friends" and not foster brothers - probably because he wasn't legally adopted by Dhurke, although I can easily see Apollo trying his best to be a brother-like figure to her, since she's Dhurke's daughter and all.

Then he realizes he fucked up and she wants his third horn when she invites him to "formally join the family". Apollo can't catch a break.

>yfw Rayfa as reverse Oldbag.

>trucy will be crying tears of joy when she finds out who her mom is
>apollo will just awkwardly stand there because he doesn't care about his biological parents

Yeah probably. DGS2 might be a 3DS/NX game, they haven't announced any platforms for it yet.

On the other hand there there aren't more annoying clients in the series than the AA4 characters.

Fuck Wocky

The only non-asshole defendant in AJ is Vera Misham

I really dislike AJ overall but they definitely made a couple fantastic songs for it.

Best pursuit song in the series
youtube.com/watch?v=xF1uJ4vuTuw

going back and forth with franziska was awesome with this theme

The original cornered is still the best, though both the Investigations ones give it a run for their money.
