I just re-watched New Century over the weekend, what a nostalgia blast.

Only in the second half when they're grown up some. First half is too childish and immature. Any adult would find that off putting. First half is villain of the week and establishing core tenants which you can guess spot on and are told to you directly in the second half anyway.

It was also the slowest armor but had the most fire power, I still think Yeager had great speed and power and was the most balanced out of the three armor sets.

Yeager was used the most in the show as well, Panzer has obvious weaknesses, but it's fire power is god-like.

Reading the piece I think it's more of misinterpretation of the reader and just really awful phrasing.

The Mecha he's talking about is traditional western mecha, mechwarrior/battletech stuff which consists of large, lumbering, machines similar to a tank battle. Titanfall wanted to have high mobility mecha and have them act like an enlarged infantry soldier, like he said, so they wanted to avoid the tank aspect as much as possible.

my first model kit was when I was 4 or 5 and it was a zoid given to my dad for christmas, it was a huge kit and looked imported. we spent most of jan snowed in building it together. we never kept up with building kits together, but I always look back fondly when my dad would bring weird shit back home like a zoid, saturn, or whatever.
