Its hardly a grind. You have ADHD, however, and it feels like a grind to you.
>>The same three stores over and over again
Untrue.

Conclusion: Stop crying.

you're playing it wrong

also its a re-release that was amazing at the time it came out, you fucking underage

basically everything this faggot said but also, i find the dead rising remaster to be hilarious
a decade ago people whined and cried about how dead rising was cheap and unfair and when you played it you either got gud or got out
all this time later, even with all the game breaking strategies found out, people are still whining and crying about how "hard" the game is
what the hell is wrong with "gamers" ?it's because of people like you OP that we're gonna get the disgraceful mess that is "dead rising" 4.

>90% of the game and gameplay is optional
Are you legitmately retarded?

I didn't know you could play games "wrong". Keep sucking that corporate cock, faggot.

>It was amazing when it came out!
And that was how many years ago?

>Are you legitmately retarded?

Maybe so. But at least I'm not crying.

Stop crying.

>Dead Rising remaster

What exactly has been "remastered"? It's a port.

>You don't like it because you think it's hard!
Grinding isn't hard, buddy.

>And that was how many years ago?
10, likely about the same time you were learning to walk.

He was crying then, he is crying now.

Stop crying, OP.

I want to fuck jessie

That's the point. If you think you can go and save everybody and get the perfect run on the first go then you are sorely mistaken. It's part of the fun and part of the game. If you want some happy happy easy time go play the fucking last of us or some shit like that

Frank animates way better in 1. The combat is far more satisfying as a result as it feels like there is more weight and purpose behind attacks in the first game. Using the parasol and baseball bat in 2 is a complete joke. The game also visually looks better (though this may vary for some).

You also have to be more resourceful in the game by often utilising unconventional weapons instead of the op combo weapons in 2.

Having said that I very much enjoyed 2, its just that 1 is noticeably better IMO.

i'm a huge dead rising 1 fanboy, but you can't complain about OP weapons without mentioning even single-booked mini-chainsaws or mannequin torsos.

freeze time function at least makes this piece of shit bearable

>Still crying
Stop crying

fuck off retard

>Retarded writing Capcom is desperately trying to own as "we did it intentionally! It's zany! XD"
With sequels, yes. The difference is that best writing of first game is unintentionally hillarious, in B-movie sort of way. Capcom didn't realize this, and tried to replicate it with DR2/3, which ended up just lame.

Stop crying.

>dude this game is shit
>PLAYING IT IS OPTIONAL XDD STOP CRYING ABOUT THE QUALITY

Yeah but those books are so obscure, no first-run player would take the time to experiment with that mechanic.
And blind players usually don't notice that Adam's chainsaws respawn until late game, if then.
Being over-powered in DR2 is as simple as trying the game's main gimmick. Tutorial included.

>90% of the game and gameplay is optional
Yes, this is true.

I would even say 100% as you literally have no obligation to do any of the missions in the game. The opening segment where you take photos of the carnage, that can be skipped like cutscenes.

Nothing is required for you to reach the end of the game except for letting the clock run out. You could on the roof you spawn in after the intro for three days and the game will end.

at least the gameplay of the sequels compensated for the mediocre story

ITT: OP still crying.

People liked it because it was the first in the series that brought something new and interesting to the table. That said, it was the first in the series can Capcom should've added the gameplay changes that DR2 made that made it a better game.

>Constant escort missions
Optional, but very annoying. Was fixed in DR2 in that survivor AIs became so beefed up that if you give them guns they become your bodyguards.
>Slow as fuck text-only dialog you cannot skip everytime you do an escort mission
okay yeah that was annoying, really a minor thing though
>Retarded writing Capcom is desperately trying to own as "we did it intentionally! It's zany! XD"
There was a tradeoff in DR2. I'd say DR2 had better writing due to being developed by baka gaijins but the overall story and setting was less interesting than in DR1.
>You must grind to advance
git gud
>The same three stores over and over again
The fuck? No? I can't even refute this because it's just not true?
>The game works on a newgame+ mechanic, except you have to watch/skip every fucking cutscene again, every fucking time.
Yeah, because pressing start to skip cutscenes is sooo hard. I only did two playthroughs to 100% the game, and one of them you just fail to do one story mission and it skips all of them to let you free roam. The story you only need to do once.

Other valid criticisms would be the shitty controls, clunky movement and animations, lack of a true unlimited free roaming mode and lack of extra content outside of the challenge infinity mode. All things that were fixed in sequels that Capcom should've spent the time fixing. Like, would it have killed them to at least put the control scheme, survivor AI and sandbox mode of 2/OTR into 1?

Easily in my top 5 best games.
