It's objectively true though. Every projectile moves faster than in the original games and there are more of them, and a lot of enemies are far more aggressive than their old counterparts. Once you get familiar enough in your movements you'd just run in little circles and be hit by nothing but those rat bastard hitscan shotguns.

The reason why the new doom doesn't have billions of enemies in the map at once is that their behaviors are very different from the originals.

In DOOM 1 and 2, the only kinds of demons that would charge you were Pinkies, Spectres and Lost Souls. Everyone else could be pretty much bundled up together if you sidestrafed long enough and kept your distance.

In DOOM 4, pretty much every single Demon has a "chase & melee" attack save for Cacodemons and Mancubi. If you have a couple of hellknights, barons, pinkies, imps and revenants attacking you at once, you bet your ass you're gonna get swarmed, especially since they can jump on platforms after you, and they're fast as fuck. Not to mention they have "predictive" attack patterns (Barons and Hellknights leap towards the direction you're moving so they'll land right where you're going to be, pinkies adjust their charge path to follow you as you move to the sides).

If you had 300 of these fuckers attacking you at once, you'd be dead 100% of the time unless you have powerups at your disposal.
