In Castlevania's case it was Konami that decided they don't want to make videogames anymore. People weren't fond of Dark Dawn for its points of no return and story that didn't really pick up until towards the end, a problem likely due to the fact the people that worked on the first two aren't working at Camelot anymore.

Nah, Suikoden 5 is decent. It's trying as hard as possible to copy Suikoden 2, and this one's so good, even a pale copy is much better than most modern RPGs.

What really killed the series was Tearkreis though. It wasn't even that bad, bah that was basically the end of Suikoden.

Came here to post this. We haven't even gotten a new Warioware game in a long time, though I'm sure we'll get a new one eventually. Warioland however just seems to be completely dead now.

I can't stand the controls on pc, and tablet/phone screens rely on currents or whatever so you have to use your finger or a rubbery stylus and that feels "sticky" dragging along the screen
Basically the series is perfection ds screens and I don't want it anywhere else

What happened with that anyway? I heard the director left Atlus? It got as many games as Etrian Odyssey did back in their debut generation, but of the two only EO remains active, and even the remakes went and removed all traces of the Trauma Center cameo NPCs.

Came here to post this. This really is one of the best game series that never gets talked about anymore.

I know lots of people didn't like the DS game, but I enjoyed it and it did show the devs definitely still remember the series and were enthusiastic to work on new entries. Always had a soft spot of the series even though I only started with Legend Returns on GBC which was my childhood introduction to JRPG (outside Pokemon).

Not a series but would love a brand new version of Scarface! I loved the gameplay, rage mode, building up your own empire, drug mini games, the Scarface ip you name it. Sadly I don't think they'll ever do anything else with the Scarface ip.

Also Skate 4 would be awesome that's the definition of comfy.

The redesigns were atrocious (what the fuck was up with Tia?) and the game should have been its own thing and not a reimagining of 2. I think this would have gone over a lot better if they did that. At least it would have for me personally.
