How do I do the turning statue puzzle?

...

...

I'm having no luck at the casino at all. Fucking hell

>Starting to Stink

lewd

ded

just like maribels dad.

>get vocations
>grind a bit in slime forest Tablet

I now have ruff as mastered Monster masher and maribel as mastered Sage, whats next? Druid for maribel, but what about ruff?

user, just play the game.

Is there anything good in the coastal match game? Also is there a 100 coon machine with two lines of 7s somewhere?

so how exactly do you get access to Hero?

Master 2 advanced and 1 master vocation or 3 advanced vocations

Don't play slots, play Lucky Panel and sell the shit you get

But I can't seem to win at Lucky Panel either.

Only if you want money. For tokens slots is still the way to go. Just save scum when you go bankrupt.

I love breaking games by overgrinding

Then shoot for 3 champions and a druid. No boss will ever be a challenge again.

I only have 3 teammembers though. Also why Champion over Hero?

>win Lucky Panel for the first time

>leather whip
>fur hood
>jawtoise heart
>bronze knife
>chimaera wing
>fishnet stockings
>prayer ring
>divine dagger

eh. at least i got another heart.

Stripes or Rashers first?

Why not heroes?

stripes

Doesn't Rashers throw up sand?

Champion gets Blade of Ultimate Power which does a massive amount of damage, and it gets most of the useful spells Hero gets anyway, like Multiheal, Kabuff, Oomph, Kasap, even Gigaslash

All hero really has over it is Omniheal and the passive healing ability

stripes has a bigger damage output

Because they don't have the best skill in the game (blade of ultimate power)

Does anyone know if I can use the basic slimes and shit in the Oozantium tablet dungeon to grind job levels on level 35-40 characters? I'm set on money now so I just want to do whatever will be fastest at this point

Any tablet starting from the vile vials you get from migrants has no cap, including hte one you are referring to.

What about Monster classes? Anything useful there?

I think you can get literally any skill from monster classes if you have the patience/autism to farm for rare hearts and fight 600 battles or whatever to master them

Search google, that puzzle is bullshit. I had to look up a guide exclusively for that puzzle.

If you really want all the skills, monster classses are the avenue to take you closet. Plat king is also notable for making you near invincible but either requires an enormous job grind or collecting 110 mini medals.

But in general, you'll only ever need or want human classes.

Yeah but are there op skills i Can only get via Monster classes?

Hero or Champion for hero and Mervyn? Originally was planning Hero for hero and champion for mervyn but I'm having doubts.

>tfw you get Mervyn's strength so high that Knuckle Sandwich does more damage than Blade of Ultimate Power

I made the MC a Hero because it felt appropriate, and kept Mervyn a Champion because he looks really good as one

We literally just discussed how hero is not a great job at the end of the day when compared to champion.

I know but I wanted to try to make it so only one class per member, interested in seeing if people recccomend one as hero and the other as champion.

Buccanham lucky panel has mirror armor and flame shields for Hero and Aishe, cobra claws for Ruff, and happy hats that regen MP when you walk

Then you should really be using mutlifists.

For shitting on bosses maybe not but it still gets Omniheal, Scorch, Sword Dance, and passive regeneration.

I didn't want to double up on classes either.

I'm probably gonna go Hero for Hero and Champion for Mervyn since I think they fit nicely. You can also go Hero for Mervyn if you want to go with the idea of him being the one who fought alongside the Almighty

What do I do in the earth spirit dungeon? I have the ear stones and the heart stone. I can't seem to find anything else in the dungeon and their is some big monster like face statue blocking the only place I haven't been to yet. How do I move it?

Yeah I was planning the same but I'm unsure, as I said in I want to try to make it so no classes are repeated. Making everyone hero/champion seems boring.

Read the clues on the floor at the entrance again

Leaving optimization aside, I personally like having Mervyn as a Hero. It fits since he literally IS a legendary hero and the whole allrounder-thing the Hero vocation has going fits him also - visually, he's a knight or paladin, but in terms of his strengths, he's more of a caster, and Hero combines both of those.

I kinda like having the MC in support jobs since that fits what I imagine his personality to be.

Sic Em or Stone's Throw?

Yeah I made Mervyn a Hero and I made the Hero a Champion. I like the idea of him being an old retired Hero. When I eventually get him back he's going on the bench. I have Ruff as a Hero and I'm making Aishe into a Champion too. Maribel is of course going to be a Druid, but I have her a a Healslime so she can get multiheal first.

Eyes, Lips, Ears, Nose? Oh I meant the nose stone instead of the heart stone. Is there a place to put the ones I have? Is it the Likeness?

Sic Em is based off attack value and Stones Throw is fixed dmg (around 25-35 iirc).

Who /benched aishe/ here

She's the most boring of all the party members and I couldn't be fucked to grind vocations on another person so I just left her as a Luminary until Maribel came back

Luminary is actually a good job for her and she come with dancer mastered. Still as you said she's boring as fuck, they basically only added her as a way of giving you Kiefer back but not really.

What's wrong with Aishe?
I see so many people write her off for Mervyn

She's really really generic in a cast of personality. It was really disappointing. At times her naivete makes ruff look like a genius.

She's kinda boring and joins abruptly really close to the end of the game. And she's forced into your party for several hours.

By the time she shows up you've already got two party members that are good at everything, one that leans towards physical, and one that leans towards magic so another physical attacker feels redundant to have on your final team.

Question for anyone who has played it before:
Do I have to grind in this game to get through or is picking the occasional fight on the way enough?

fuck you kiefer

She's underdeveloped as a character in every sense, being very bland in terms of writing and a superfluous and underleveled addition to the party. Mervyn's also kinda weak when he joins, but he does so a good bit earlier and he has a personality.
Although frankly, I don't think peoples' reactions to her would be so negative if her joining wasn't preceded by best girl being written out of the party in an unconvincing, forced way.

why were people in hete saying Gracos V was hard? He was a pushover just like regular Gracos

If you plan your jobs right there is next to no grind required.

Just fight whatever you run into and you'll be fine
Worst case you might need to get someone with Multiheal for Cumulus Vex if you don't have a class that learns it by then

See

Seriously in terms of DQ the other four are quite memorable and unique. Aishe is just a generic character and feels like a last minute addition as they wanted some way to add Kiefer back but realized they fucked up. In terms of gameplay everyone is usable so it's not like you're handicapping yourself either without her.

just curious, levels, jobs, party?

I play this the first time, I'm not planning shit so far.

As long as you don't try to avoid every battle and never run away from a fight, then you should be fine. Just don't expect to be able to buy the newest equipment in every town. You honestly don't even need to as long as you aren't really dumb in boss battles.

Then depending on your jobs you may have an easy time or a hard time. A lot of this games difficulty is based on what you have at your disposal at the current moment.

I just love having everyone as Hero. The matching costumes are too cute.

Not him but I remember using gladiator for hero, sage for maribel, and heal slime for ruff (was grinding it). He was piss easy, oomph+kabuff+focus strength+knuckle sandwich made the fight last three or four turns for me.

is the remake really missing the old music?

Depends what you mean by old music.

>Missing
What? The Japanese version used the orchestrated OST and the 3DS had some synth whipped up to mimic the orchestrated version and fix a few looping problems those songs had

So yeah it doesn't have the original PS1 music if that's what you're asking

>Queefer fucks off to be a hippie
>Immediately after get bamboozeled by the fucking Abbey just when I think something is looking up for me
>Spent an hour looking for that siscon piece of shit before remembering the bar exists, it's hidden just good enough to make me feel autistic
>Finally died for the first time because nigger pig and his pocket sand bullshit while breaking out of the slums
>Just got my magic shit back, can't believe I missed it so much
>"Now win 5 fights in the arena lol"

This shit is pissing me off something fierce.
Tell me I get a new 4th sometime soon.

Hero is such a well rounded class so that setup is really viable. At max level you heal 50 hp every round so it'd be hard to die like that and everyone knows omniheal and kazing.

hahaha nope.

>Tell me I get a new 4th sometime soon
Not for a while.

If by "Soon" you mean "in another 15 hours" then sure

Ruff - 23 Monster Masher
Ser Mervyn - 19 Warrior
(just got him)
Maribel - 25 Priest
Albrecht (MC) - 25 Thief

I haven't been grinding, but I have done all the travellers' tablets up to the Metal Slime one.

Ruff was doing the most damage, Maribel and MC were spamming Frizzle.

I'M 20 HOURS IN.
ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TELLING ME I HAVE TO GO ALMOST THAT LONG TO REPLACE HIM?

FUCK

I just finished Vogograd

Fuck this village, I wish you could kill everyone in it, past and present

The biggest problem is that she joins way late with no real skills to speak of.

Hero - Ruff - Maribel and Mervyn is a fine party. Mervyn does have the problem of having no vocation progress whatsoever but it's mitigated somewhat by joining earlier than Aishe

Honestly I feel she should've joined earlier in the game and have Mervyn join around the time she does but also have several vocations maxed out and have some progress in an advanced one.

she isn't too interesting either so it doesn't help. She does have some cool attack animations though.

Honestly they should've let you just keep Kiefer. And give you a wagon.

It's a fucking longass game man. You'll have your classes soon, enjoy those for a while

just play the game, bitch tits

Where is the Pool of Piety , I forgot what town its in

They should've given you Aishe when you return to the Roamer island in the present or something. Would've made more sense. Or just have Kiefer not fucking leave in the first place, he can go back in time to bone his waifu after the world is saved.

The excuse for limiting your party to 4 even once everyone is available is that the Skystone can only fit four people, which is kinda dumb.

it's south of the walled off island near wetlock

I never said I wasn't loving it.

Not too long after getting Mervyn you'll lose Maribel. Have fun with that.

Robot island.

Nah Mervyn is to cool to join later. I honestly loved reading party chat since Maribel, Ruff, and Mervyn actually say interesting stuff. Ruff can be a bit annoying with the whole food shit but I still generally really enjoyed his dialog.

Pirate for Ruff, y/n?

I finished Monster Masher because I thought it fit his skills and personality, and priest for quick heals. Is pirate any good?

A weird thing I noticed is that you can lose spells depending on how you learn them

I learned multispell with one character via healslime heart and they always have it,

but another character learned it via paladin and loses it when changing classes

Pirate gets Thin Air and Oomph, so yes.

You retain skills from basic and monster vocations. That's it, there's no other rules about it.

Pirate is pretty good, I was thinking of leaving him as monster masher as I too felt it fit him but I'm considering paladin for him as it gives good strength and decent mp for quick healing and buffing/debuffing with his speed. He fits as quite a bit of things, stay away from more magic base classes for since he sucks with magic.

I can't change him from monster masher myself because I have to collect all the monsters now. And scorch is too good

Monster masher definitely is by no means bad it just feels outclassed but as you said it has some nice strengths.

Alright.

So I can get hero by mastering one advanced class or 3 intermediate classes right? I know I want Arus to be a champion and Maribel to be a druid, but with how I'm speccing Ruff I don't know what a good third inermediate class for him after monster masher and pirate would be. Maybe paladin because of what the second user said plus I already have priest on him, so I may as well.

Is the game fun for people like me who dislike grinding for too long and don't care about minmaxing stats?

It's just any three intermediate or advanced classes. It just so happens that all the advanced classes require two intermediate classes to unlock.

Hero is obtained in two ways.
1. Master three intermediate classes
2.Master two intermediate classes and a advanced class

Personally I find 1. much easier, classrs like monster masher make it faster.

I've been doing the same. With the method for 100% tame rate, I can't really help but tame every monster I come across even if I have zero plans for them

There really aren't many points in the story where you're required to grind. The game is long enough to master a couple of the intermediate vocations before the final boss, and grinding for levels is really quick at the end of the game thanks to Metal King Slimes which give an absurd amount of experience.

It's also

one of the possible rewards for besting god in under 19 rounds

ROBOT PIRATE ISLAND

By that point you could have mastered it a couple of times, no one actually wait until then to get it.

As the other user said though, it pretty much just amounts to mastering any three classes higher than the basic vocations. It's not possible to master more than one advanced class without mastering at least two intermediate classes anyway

Perhaps, depends on how much you grind.

>tfw 5 in a row

Bump

Vogograd

>metal slimes even run from you in the field
fuck you

Finished Nottagen, then Providence, where is Monty? is he the old guy at Monster Meadows? his name isnt appearing when i talk to him, and the Recent Developments are stuck on Nottagen even though its finished

old guy in the green suit I mean.

are you sure you finished nottagen

all 3 times

what vocation gives sap?

Mage

what does your next tablet say

only Maximo's mansion

ask the fairy for guidance

somebody needs help in a magical kingdom

This game is too antiquated for me. It still takes like 10 steps just to save the game. It's on a fucking portable console now devs. Streamline that shit.

Are there better casinos that I use tokens on? At the very first one and the prizes seem meh. Rather make bank with the pair card game.

thats probably hubble, did you already visit that place?

Is there any use for the intermidiate vocations that dont lead to champion/druid/hero?

You dont keep their abilities and they get outclassed by the 3 endgame vocations

briefly, but i didnt want to go there yet, so i did Providence first

All these abilities feel like they do the exact same thing

Are you really allowed to say damn in an E10 game?

Yes

monty is the dude in monster meadows

>talking to Kind Donald after God was revealed to be Orgodemir
Maribel: "I'm worried about my parents so I'm going to go see them. k thx bye"
What the fuck?

Monster Masher for taming monsters. Other than that, they're there for flavor and/or fun

I looked it up and apparently there were different rewards depending on when you defeated Gracos V in the PSX version (disc 1 or disc 2). Is it the same for the 3DS?

what does the staff of salvation do?

OK I just got her back, but that was the most bullshit and laziest way of getting her out of the party. Even worse than the last time.

is he supposed to be without a name above the dialog? i cant figure out what the deal is

Free midheal.

If you use it in battle it's basically an infinite use Midheal

I fucking love Dragon Quest.

most people's names only show up above them if they introduce themselves are introduced

its normal

I do too. I honestly thought I might not be into DQ7 after I dropped DQH on the PS4, but I haven't been able to put this game down. I really love the classic main line DQ games the most.

>DQH
I liked that game enough but I really wish it had co-op. It would have been 100% better with that but it was still okay in my opinion.

How should I go about beating the last arena battle against the sister of whatshisface? She keeps spamming all her ice attacks and I cant keep up with healing, should I level grind to lv18 (lv16 atm)?

I felt it was too slow. I needed a run button and coming from Hyrule Warriors I really missed not having one.

just keep healing and getting in small hits
hope that her brother hits a 160+ crit on her and also get edged boomerangs

>Dragon Slash is effective against dragons
>Big book of beasts doesn't classify monsters by family so I have no way of knowing which monsters are specifically dragons.

Holy shit Heroes 2 looks really really good.

quicksave, dumbass

>there's a fragment at the end of a hidden passageway in the temple palace
>go to the temple palace
>light doesn't start blinking
where the fuck is the passageway

talk to the queen in the past

when does the slime tablet stop working for vocation leveling?

When it feels like it.

What's the best place to find gold golems? I want to make a money dungeon. I have goody bags and gem slimes so all I need is a gold golem.

There's a black guy i work with named william smith. I told him i loved him in fresh prince.

That's very nice user.

Best durgen crest here!

I went to the zoo today and I saw the most adorable little orangutan. However, I accidentally called him a monkey and he started throwing shit at me.

>mirror armor reflects healing spells, buffs, and oomph
I should've seen this coming honestly. What better time to learn this than during a boss battle as well

it would be the best one if it had online co-op

Too bad it wasnt and was just a shitty acton game with dq title slapped on it.

20

i played all of dq9 with 3 other friends, all dlc and grottos included. extremely fun seeing all the weird combinations we came up with

Remember the mountain cave you have to go through on your way to the Altar of the Almighty that you can just fly over in the present? They're in there

Wasn't that an action rpg that played like those ds crystal chronicles games?

No what, it was a mostly traditional mainline entry

where do go if I level past that

my ass

I thought it was an action rpg with a focus on multiplayer? That's how it was advertised and what Cred Forums said about it when it came out. Don't tell me i passed this up because of bad information.

another tablet

user's ass

It is in no way whatsoever anything even remotely resembling an action RPG, it uses the exact same turn based battle system the rest of the DQ games have

It does have optional co-op multiplayer though but it's a full-fledged traditional singleplayer JRPG

What? No it was a shitty action rpg.

youtube.com/watch?v=jGMc9gLJio4
How in the hell is this an action rpg? This is a traditional turn based rpg like every other mainline DQ game. It's reveal was an action RPG, but they changed it well before release.

Just spam Whistle

Just maxed out Hero on the MC. What monster classes should I mess with going into the Cave to Another World? I haven't messed with any monster classes prior aside from a dip in Healer which I didn't see through.

Well i was fed wrong info for years. Plus i was trying to find dq 5 and never did

>El Ciclo
what am I supposed to do here?
how the hell do I rest at the inn? I've gone everywhere I can think of, yet nothing has happened

So after finally getting vocations i decided to do some grinding in the slime tanlet, and i somehow ended up with Hero being 3 Paladin ranks away from Champion and Maribel 4 Luminary ranks away from druid

Did i fuck my progression curve or am i good?

Nice rickroll faggot

I tamed my first monster but he's not in the monster meadow, what's the deal with that?

>have al9h and luma installed
>need to update to play online
>update luma and system
>game now slightly stutters in menus
>restore to the older system and luma version
>no lag

BRAVO

Its being sold on amazon now for $25. New copies.

>tfw I just leave my guys with tactics on to fight for me because of the little lag stutters associated with choosing commands

These guys are fucking hilarious for not releasing a New 3DS patch

Well it's kinda late now. I just bought 7 and legend of legacy

What are you even talking about user?

>game now slightly stutters in menus
I have a retail copy and it does this. I think it's a product of the hastily done translation. Remember that they never planned on this coming to the west.

yes, you retard

But it doesnt stutter in the slightest when i revert my system to an older version, so it can't be that?

You're fucked if you're looking for challenge. But if you don't mind breaking the game and just want story, then go ahead.

I was wondering why I had never seen a system update thing

>grind until you're just about to have advanced classes
>still being below level 20 as you're approaching advanced vocations
The answer is yes, my friend. Though the solution is easy - just switch to other basic / intermediate vocations as you play through the game and stop grinding your vocations. At the very least, you can touch the advanced stuff near the end of the game if you have the willpower.

Did your older setup has that overclock thingy on?

what the fuck dude

Yeah I do the same expect for boss fights. I just set everyone to use no magic so I can save it all for the boss fight. The mini stutters are really fucking annoying.

I have never seen such an option

You just have to see the scene at Salvador's house. If that doesn't work, talk to everyone in town and at the bridge site.

I rechecked and you were right, on that boot up hack menu thing there was overclocking turned on and it completely removes any stuttering

>grind for lategame classes when you're level 15
>lol did i fuck my progression??
fuck off

Yeah I really want to hack my N3DS just so I make the it use it's higher core clock on games like this. The stuttering is killing me. I'm 67 hours in and I still hate it.

It only took like 3-4 hours to get to this point, i was assuming there might be some hidden more advanced classes since you usually dont get to the higher classes this fast in JRPGs

>choose wrong command in a boss battle because of lag
>party gets wiped out

Why the fuck isnt Nintendo providing this, if some hobby hackers can do it, surely they can without too much effort

It's because you fought some several hundred battles against Slimes which only take one hit to kill. Those several hundreds of battles could've stretched across the main campaign, but you stuck around the Slime tablet instead of enjoying the challenge of the game.

Because Nintendo has been fucking shit for years. They make the most baffling of decisions. I'm sure that if you could use the higher core clock on DQ8 then it would look a lot better too.

How long do you lose Maribel for? I'm not looking forward to this.

I can still just equip one of the basic vocations and have close to the same challenge as before i assume

Until after you revive God.

what scene? he just tells me to fuck off

I mean like how many islands, or is that after you've cleared them all?

I even do it on boss fights now, fight wisely has my guys Kabuff the team, Sap the enemy, and cast Oomph on everyone, they also adjust on the fly to Heal and know when the boss will die from a normal attack.

The one where he was with the clumsy girl.

I usually have someone set to heal, but I command everyone else.

After you've cleared them all and then some

Can the AI actually cheat while healing?

Let's say all party members have 99% hp, then i need to decide whom to heal at the start of the round without knowing who takes damage

The AI always heals the guy who is lowest at the point where the cast is made instead of the beginning of the round

what the fuck
how do I get it?

No idea. I did it last night and don't remember having done anything special in town before then. Maybe just try talking to everyone in town and at the bridge before going back to his house?

>god tier
IV
VII
>great tier
III
V
VIII
>good tier
VI
IX
>okay tier
I
II

Yes. The AI makes the choice just before acting instead of at the start of the turn.

The AI decides it's move when the character acts in battle, not at the start of a turn like you. So yeah it's almost cheating. They can also see enemy HP so they will always use the move that brings the current HP closest to 0. So lets say you use an AI use flame slash on an enemy with high fire res. You should know that the flame slash will kill them, and it always does. You might see the AI use weak moves, but it's always the move that kills the enemy when they use it.

I keep merv as a hero because i live diverseish teams.

That's basically what X is.

I'm in the lighthouse right in front of a giant blue flame ball, what am I supposed to do now?
It just says "the black flame is flickering ominously..."

I guess it looks like the one in emberdale but I don't have the shit I used on it anymore, all I have is an empty bottle tell me I don't have to backtrack please

>VII god while VIII only great
I get it it's still honeymoon phase for you guys, but still...

>Spend a while HomePassing to try and get streetpass hits for DQVII.
>Queued 51 Miis in StreetPass Mii Plaza
>Only two DQVII hits
>They both had the starting Slime travellers tablet

Hmm. I don't even fully understand the monster recruitment system. I thought I had a monster turn tame after one battle but I haven't seen it show up in the Haven.

I also got a glitched item from one of the Slime tablets I visited. Doesn't show up in inventory anywhere either.

how do I use hearts to turn into monsters?

>VII
>god tier
hell no. I'm over 100 hours and I'm having a lot of fun with this but it is HUGELY flawed.

put it into the inventory whose character you want to change job

>God tier

>Great Tier

>Good Tier

VI
IX

Yes, you have to backtrack. Pay attention before you do shit, please.

what where why goddammit

is IV really that good? It has been on my to play list for a while now

Go visit Pike goddammit he gave you the wholly holy water
I'm not as far ahead as you but you could try using party chat as well

Dragon Quest Tactics when?

Yes. As long as you can overlook the dialect crap. The western version we got is not that high, but the Japanese original is one of the best JRPGs ever.

It's not perfect but I really enjoy it a lot, I honestly feel its the most fun I've had with a DQ title. Stories and NPCs are good, job system is fun, likable characters, a bit easy but fair dufficulty. Yeah the job system can be broken, Kiefer leaving makes no sense from both a gameplay and story perspective, and constant back tracking lower itvas a game but personally I feel it may be my favorite DQ.

It exists. Its a little known game called Dragon Quest WARS. But its not what you'd expect. Basically a mini game sold as DSi ware.

Yes, unfortunately if you only can read English you're a bit fucked. You will have to choose between a terrible translation with modern conveniences or a moderately faithful but somewhat censored translation with nes jrpg bullshit.

Still, play IV. Amazing game.

wrong.
he has to use the blue warp gate in the shrine of mystery, go on the beach and press A on the single shining spot to get the prism dew.
Fuck this part

Anyone know where I can find gold golems?

Everyone kept bringing up how you were going to distinguish the "black" flame. Pay attention nigga

but how in the flying fuck was I supposed to know that?

fem hero > male hero

The king should've told you to talk to the scholar before leaving who then gives you a hint on where to get the Prism Dew. Finding out that you have to use the blue transporter is complete bullshit though

Is it really only just one spot? It all seemed to be shining and I got it on the first try.

I'm glad that game has local multiplayer with a single DS. Too bad Number Battles only had online multiplayer.

how is the game supposed to be god tier anything when it pulls up shit like this
it does this kind of things all the time, it's always about backtracking
DQV wasn't like this at all
DQIX neither if I remember correctly
and those are just the DQ I played

DQIX had backtracking out the ass if you count quests. However, that was optional. DQVII has pissed me off a number of times already with all the fucking flags I have to trigger to proceed. It's like they could have just had one essential conversation in each town, but instead broke it up into twenty parts often requiring you to go across the fucking island just to be told to go back and do it again.

>still havent tamed a single monster

Alright I give up. This shit is more trouble than it's worth.

Should I buy two sets of magic armour or is it a waste of money?

If you wreck their ass, they're more likely to join you. Also, do you have the Monster Masher class?

Are you using Monster Masher and Animal Magnetism?

omg do I have to backtrack on the fucking lighthouse again to rekindle the flame?
BUT WHY
WHY THIS LIGHTHOUSE HAS MOVING PLATFORM ANYWAY
WHY THE FOOTPRINTS ARE GONE NOW

it's no wonder Enix died after this game

>it's no wonder Enix died after this game

You couldn't be more wrong

Not yet. I just now got to Alltrades. Didn't realize you needed a class to tame them.

Do you have the Monster Munchies from the desk?

Yes. Ive tried using them in battle all the time and just having them in my MCs bag.

>there are people who didn't already have the prism dew obtained hours before even reaching the lighthouse
Do you shitters even EXPLORE?

Guys?

They can be in the bag, not necessarily in any party member's inventory. Anyway, until you get monster masher, it's all luck based, except for the fact that it's always the last monster defeated that will be asked to join.

You don't need the class to tame them but it makes the process much much easier. Like 100% chance if you have the patience

Go for it. Do it for the magic resistance bonus

If you have enough money and two characters that can wear it, why not?

>Went to cove before emberdale
>"You need an empty bottle for this"
>Immediately go back after emberdale to see if I can fill it with the wholly water
>It works
>Oh boy I'm so clever talking to people to get the wholly water before emberdale and now I have this before I need it, wonder when I'll use it
>Waiting
>Waiting
>Waiting
>...Is it time to use it yet? No? Oh okay
>Waiting
>Waiting
>Thoughts of death waiting to find what I use this on
>Waiting
>Finally, all islands later
>HAH, I'm so clever finding this early

wasn't DQVIII already SQUEENIX?

So, how come we never see soulblades again after alltrades? It seemed pretty effective especially considering the one woman whose husband or whatever is still unconscious in the past, and how it destroys your very soul using it.

>Ah! Estroy muh ocupado! It is only morning, but I am so busy!
fuck I hate this
I already get that they're supposed to be spanish, why the fuck do they have to say the exact same thing twice?

Will I ever find out what that demon stole from the pot in the Den of Dwarves?

>muh
i meant to say muy, fug

The first teleporter doors I tried were locked so I didn't bother with the rest. Then after finding the volcano shortcut, I assumed they all did the same thing so I just stopped thinking about them altogether. It's dumb that one of them leads to a dead end while the others are just shortcuts

>M-Muchas gracias! I, I am sorry!

>She may be clumsy, but ella es una buena chica - she is a good girl.

who the fuck thought this was a good idea

>Paying for censored games

I hope you guys pirated this as well...

>the road to Esterk
God damn it, all these useless classes.

>muh dragon quest
>muh stylistic choices
>muh Toriyama happy shounen animu game
>muh dragon quest flavor

I got a Cureslime to head off to Monster Meadows. Is it possible to get a heart from them too or will I have to make do with Healslime?

Censored shit..

Check your Big Book of Beasts

Nice samefag, not worth three (You)'s though. I'll be kind and give one.

Oh, how about that. Had no idea that was a thing. Thanks. Shame, though.

How do you use Monster Meadows anyway? I've beaten Nottagen so I have it properly unlocked, but there are no monsters there despite me sending a lot there throughout the game. Do I need those enclosure plans before I can even use it?

what the fuck does my post have to do with dumbass pirates

Sorry, I actually agree the whole "repeating what they just say in english" is annoying as fuck. Even with my high school level spanish jt annoyed the fuck out of me. My apologies.

maybe you should learn high school level english you fucking cretin

Yep

I think he's pointing out that Enix bailed out Square and not the other way around. Look up the merger. Enix bought Square's bad stock and 1 Square share was worth 1.3 Enix share.

>english
>no period

What's the easiest way to get to Platinum King Slime without getting 110 medals? From what I read of the PSX guide it looks like Drake Slime is one of the prerequisite classes, and I have a heart for that.

I just got to El Ciclo, how much longer until I get the flying carpet?
I'm able to get Melvin immediately after, right? Where do I go for that?

please post more sofia

How do I get those 5 mini medals in the Haven without streetpass? Can I get the residents for the guesthouse some other way?

How to get enclosure plans?

Ok, I just started and gotten into the proper first chapter, can someone give me tips? It's my first DQ game. What does each stat do, exactly?

Also when can I remove Maribel from the party? What an obnoxious character that deserves a punch in the face

>how much longer until I get the flying carpet?
Not until Wetlock. So, next island, I guess?

Official?

they're all over the place, found my first one in near the first slime king you see

Is it monster drop or item you can pickup from chest/pot?

I seriously hope none of you bought this censored crap.

...

Remember to ignore the samefag everybody. He does this in every thread.

chest/pot but I think I got one from a boss fight before

I'll take anything you've got

>don't give seeds to Kiefer
>follow a mini medal checklist as you go. You need a certain amount and many are permanently missable and/or obscure to find
>check absolutely everything. Every well, bookcase, pot, barrel, wardrobe, dresser, everything.
>equip everyone with edged boomerangs when you can buy them

what a cutie
should I play 4 next? I've only played 3 and some of 7.

Shame Solo is used in most of the official art, I really like Sofia's design more. I won't dump and shit up the thread but I'll post some stuff.

>tfw even with sharing tablets every day I still have yet to get an original tablet
It was really really stupid of square to lock an essential part of the Streetpass functionality behind an island 50 hours into the game.

>tfw no one has patched party chat into the DS version of DQIV

IV is personally my favorite, however as I said in if can only read English you have a bit of a shitty situation. I have heard someine is making a hack of the DS version based on the NES script just with censorship. Whenever that comes out, if it does, it will be the best version for English only speakers.

Speaking of which, I'm kinda disappointed in the party chat in this game. In the previous games, characters reacted more to what people were saying and there were other quirks like Milly loving cats. Here, there's not too much. I realize it's a long game with a lot of dialogue. But still, I think more party chat would've been better

What are medals for? I think I should get a list so I don't miss any

I don't think it's too bad. There's still quite a bit if you bother to talk to all NPCs and after every event.

>bunnygirls in every tavern

This is my fetish

Is this actually the easiest Dragon Quest? I haven't had a single issue since getting Multiheal and Scorch and I'm almost 50 hours into the game. Not to mention the rest of incredibly useful abilities.

>The remake of a 16 year game has a 24 hour thread

I still haven't finished the original. I got stuck on the second or third boss after getting jobs so I looked at a walkthrough, to which the only strategy was "so this guy is really easy, just use ultrahit and gigaslash each turn and hustle with your teenidol" so I thought I didn't properly raise my classes so I spent hours getting max jobs.
Now I got the Aquagon sword and don't know what to do

>tfw going to miss all the threads in Cred Forums because I play Apocalypse first

When you refer to poor translation, are you referring solely to the accents? If so, I wouldn't really agree that that makes it bad translation per se

Shit, was the original harder? I might play it.

>tfw you didn't fall for the Atlus tax again
>tfw you'll buy Apocalypse when it's $30 next year

I'm giving on wanting to finish this game. I waste nearl 90 hours and I can't progress anymore in the story because I'm too retarded.

Trading to items.

it looks like there is a bulge

What do you expect from a game made for kids? This shit is the equivalent of Kirby but for JRPG.

You can do it! Do it for Maribel.

after I got to this Shrine, I got the fragment tablet here, but after that I do not know what else to do. People kept repeating that the two others tablets are for post-game, the (King Maximo one and the one at the Shrine north of Wetlock.) But story wise I don't know how to progress more.

Also some stuff was toned down a bit, honestly as time went on SE seemed to get better. VII didn't cut anything. Sex innuendos, drunks and alcohol, light swearing all made it.

What was the last thing you did in the story? Like, in the recent developments or whatever it's called.

Have you tried looking at a guide?

I think I finished Buccanham present. I got the two tablets there at the Casino and the one the priest had.

Oh, damn, I was about to do that myself. The NPCs mention that the ship might be defrosted in the present, have you gone to check? It's south of the likeness, on the same island. Also, when is that torban competition?

I'm at the robot island

How close am I to unlocking vocations?

Next next next next island.

WHEN U WANT DAT LUCKY PANEL BUT U HIT DAT SHUFFLE

I think it's two more islands after that, then the third one is where Alltrades Abbey is.

I checked a couple of times about the torban competiton by going to see the Queen of Hubble still on about how it takes a long time to look out for the people.

right on, thanks.

In humble, how long until next casino? I want to be prepared for the grind.

>The NPCs mention that the ship might be defrosted in the present

lel I forgot all about that

the ship is still stuck in ice.

>Shortcuts

Heh

>actually found that place early on in the game

I didn't connect the two at all. I thought the ship was frozen somewhere in the middle of the ocean.

tfw you master a job

Go recruit an automaton from the demon lords palace in the past.

Then post-game recruit a collum of gollums in the first postgame dungeon near the end.

Farm automatons and golem hearts so you can skip straight to Slaughtomaton. Then get a drake slime heart to become a plat slime

There was a casino at the Pilgrim's Inn on the island of Alltrades, in the well.
The next big one comes after all of the pillars are restored.

Oh. And you don't have enough black fragments for the sky temple?

black fragments?

Wait till you play dragon quest 8

hon hon

Or, well, mysterious fragments. The non-colored ones.

hey user
wanna puff puff

Story wise here is what you need to do user.

You need to go into the info menu and click next tablet fragment.

The next tablet fragment should be told to you. It will repeat maximo's shit though.

Your probably missing the mysterious fragment from the buccanham present period. You have to talk to a guy in teh casino then talk to a rich guy in the entrance area of buccanham past the sealed door you get there from the casino. Then that guy will tell you to go to the armorer. Armorer will tell you after you climb beacon to talk to priest. Priest is downstairs casino. Talk to him then head to church. Go upstairs then talk to him and then to nun then search the altar in the menu with examine button. Make sure you got the fragment in the past/future version of coral cave

Also Gracos V as well i think you need to do

>"dragon" quest game
>finally get to fight a dragon after 30 hours

Yes

How many black fragments do I need?
I have two of them.
I got the two fragments that were at Buccanham present.

Are you missing a fragment? Have you put all the pieces in at the divine shrine in the present after its been restored?

Str, Agi, Res, Wis, Style, what does each attribute do exactly?

I haven't put all the pieces at the divine shrine.

Put them in the fuckign divine shrine in the present have you restored it?

You have to restore the last two floaty things in the past

Only he could make such a fetish and give it such a stupid name.

Well, since Paafu is a surrogate word for Pazuri, its not that much of a stretch.

Is the Divine shrine, the shrine of mysteries?

Pool of piety east of fishboer. northeast of faraday

>it's not even a real dragon, but a snake dragon

str, more physical damage
agi, better turn speed
res, overall defense
wis, no clue
style, for the fashion thingy in el ciclo

well I did go to Pool of Piety

woodus.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35101

Sounds like someone in SquareEnix is actually telling us where to voice our opinion about more localizations. Of course, in true SquareEnix fashion, it involves an ass backwards method and a lot of work. But its still something.

Did you go all the way through to the ruinss where you can use the sacred stone on the pedestal? It'll take you to the divien shrine where you can use your fragments

Are you seriously not getting anything from the info menu other than maxie? You should have all the fragments you can get then.

what? I mean the fucker on top of the sphinx

I don't get any other info other than the one at Maximo and the Shrine North of Wetlock, which is unreachable.

Okay then. You need to use the sacred stone once you go through the coral cave. There will be another shrine there you can use the sacred stone to go up to the divine shrine. Then put all the pieces on the pedestal at the divine shrine and you will be taken to the past do your shit there and then you get the fliyng machine that lets you go to the shrine north of wetlock.

You have EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

You need to go through the coral cave at the pools of piety northeast of fishboer all the way through you go through it two times to get to the shrien where you use the stone

Automatons can't be recruited

>you lose Kiefer right before the section where he would be most useful since he really never had skills anyway

Fug

Sorry i meant stainless steel murderbots in the demon lords castle those are recruitable

The only thing that bugged me about that line is that the gender is wrong, it should be "ocupada".

>the clocktower dungeon
fuck, I love shit like this
this is why Anistar has my favorite Pokemon gym

Just got Sir Mervyn, what's the best class setup for him? I'm assuming paladin and some other shit.

So I won the style contest with Maribel, but that shopkeeper is still basing it off my MC who's only #7 or something, and all he sells is lame shit I've had for ages. Will something different be put up for sale if I reach #1 with the MC too or does it not matter?

How high was your style?

did you try changing your lineup order so maribel is first

Maribel's was 201, MC's was 175 or something.

Yes, didn't matter.

So just started the game and now I am 9 hours in and got to the animal town. What do with monster hearts and the traveler tablets from the haven? Should I complete them as soon as I get them or what. Also can someone just give me the best endgame classes/path for each character. Just want to get this out of the way.

>lol all you have to do to turn your party members into monsters is put a heart in their inventory
>do that
>nothing happens

Go to Alltrades with the heart in their inventory. Come on user.

Same, and it's only with the spanish that they do this. It bugs me tremendously.

Depends on what your party is missing. He's good with magic, too, so anything is good for him.

don't they do it in french?

They did it with the Italian too.

>this teleporter bullshit
never mind, this is the reason I dropped strange journey

The tablet bosses are almost always pretty hard for the point of the game where you get them, I'd wait about two more islands to tackle each boss comfortably. Beat each one once, in order, to get great seeds as rewards. You can also wait until you access vocations, as an excuse to grind for ranks.

As for party setup, it depends on your preference. Anyone can be good at anything, but obviously aim for someone to be a Hero and another to be a Druid. The other two are up to you. I like Monster Masher because it gets access to Scorch which makes random encounters a breeze for pretty much the entire game. Here's what my final party looks like.

MC as Hero, Mervyn as Armamentalist, Ruff as Monster Masher and Maribel as Druid.

I can't actually remember them repeating the same sentence twice. But I'll believe you guys.

I sent them a ticket. Hopefully they'll actually respond. This is a pretty sneaky way to get SquareEnix to actually acknowledge the fans. After a decade of SE ignoring us, I'm glad someone found this.

That one's fucking easy, though, even if you just mess around you'll eventually find the right one.

How do I make Wade give up his position as #1 in the Wisdom rankings? He's still just dicking around in the tower.

The teleport pads are not hard. That statue one on the other hand is stupid.

What is the point of Snoop? I try it occasionally but it never works

use it infront of pots/barrels it will glow if it has something inside it

>You can also wait until you access vocations, as an excuse to grind for ranks.
What do you mean? Is the cap unlimited in travelers tablets? I played all dq up to 6 and know about there is level caps here too. Anyway thanks.

>it's a "pressed Flee instead of Abilities" episode

>battle with hybris
>it looked like it'd be a tough fight but nothing impossible
>suddenly area magic dealing 120+ damage to my party
Holy fuck. Good thing that's not the real battle.

in the clock, stopped it, reset it back to normal. Where do I go? Nothing in the town seemed important.

>press flee in unfleeable battle eats turn instead of showing 'you can't escape' notification

The magical painting in the fucking basement.

How the fuck do you counter the underpants dance?

It's fucking bullshit

the pedestal went flying up high in the air, but what was that for? I feel like I missed something. I did the coral cave twice both present and past and then I saved at the present where you could talk to a nun because my 3ds was really low on battery.

It's not unlimited, but pretty high for the enemies you face, so even a few islands later you'll still be within the level range where you can get ranks.

>Go to amazon to check the price of DQ Vll 3DS
>Usually ships within 1 to 2 months

What the fuck

You just fixed the divine shrine and can get the skystone in the present.

Go to wetlock and you will be told where to go hint...

Archeologists

>use knuckle sandwich
>miss
>miss
>miss
>miss
Are there any combos that are actually reliable?

thanks, these yellow porcupines that dazzle are the 9/11 of random encounters btw

>Ruff steals a Yellow Fragment!
What the fuck

thanks. just sent my ticket.

Knuckle Sandwich is pretty reliable for me.

>works on my machine!

okay, guess I'll do that tomorrow. I have a french course in college in the morning and it's past midnight. So I'll go to bed.
The past few days I've been badly able to sleep because I think way too much about the game, which makes me unable to sleep well and I don't get good night sleeps.

It was already a guaranteed drop.

>Backordered

>Present day Vogograd

Look if you don't like using Muster Strength into Knuckle Sandwich for only 2 mp, feel free to use Ultra Hit two turns in a row to get equal damage for 20 mp each use (totaling 40 in two turns).

>finish retracing my steps throughout the entire game using the mini medal list to find the ones I missed
>tfw only 104 mini medals

Where is the ultimate key

Need help, beat Humble and have no idea what to do. I got every tablet other then one saying its at maximos but that has to be the post game one. I put every tablet I had on the pillars but none of them were enough to complete a pillar. What do I do?

All right, made MC the #1 after a bit of work. Now I don't have to pay attention to style anymore, right?

did you get the tablet from the magic place from the grave?

>everyone's been playing DQVII for over a week
>still on DQIII
wakemeup.jpg

>Maribel too stupid to realize that Old Man Riffer was Florin

It would have been nice if you said his name as you were leaving, like "it was nice seeing you again, Florin."

Yeah I found the grave and got that tablet, I had had three tablets when I returned to tbe shrine but each went to a different color pillar. Isn't this when Maribel leaves? Is there some weird stpry trigger I need to do?

you only need 100 for the tablet.

But yeah I read that there's 115 Mini medals, 10 are missable, and 110 are needed for the Plat King Jewel heart.

yea did you try to leave the shrine of mysteries normally

No I used zoom, will try leaving normally. Thanks.

Push through user. Been blowing through dqs 1-6 this past month. Just started 7 yesterday.

So I got to the island where Keifer falls for Lala, and we're in the dungeon now with whatever the fuck his name is with the mark to drain the water for the temple or some shit. One, how much longer do I have on the island, and two, do I unlock classes immediately after?

So whats the easiest way to make a load of money? I neglected to gear up my characters for a while and it's starting to show.

>One, how much longer do I have on the island,

Not much longer.

>and two, do I unlock classes immediately after?

You'll get to the job change island after it.

Hahaha, no.

Depends on where you're at in the game

Alltrades Abbey is the next island. Thankfully you just need to do the small hike up to the temple and get your vocations, it's simple.

Would switching my party to thieves make monster heart grinding go faster?

You might want to buy a lot of healing herbs right around now. You will need them soon

At the area with the angel people.

Which monster hearts are actually worth a damn?

Maribel reminds me of that one petite redhead I once knew

>get killed by Slaughtomaton twice
>Out of heals
>No money
>Can't afford to revive anyone

Guess it's time to start over

>SquareEnix
>listening to their fans

Its the apocalypse! Everyone run for higher ground!

Healslime gets Multiheal
Jawtoise gets Oomph
Drake Slime gets some breath attacks and leads to Platinum King Slime when combined with the evo of Automaton and Golem

>You don't have to wear a Prayer Ring, you can just carry it to use it for the MP

>Maribel recovered 20 MP
>the prayer ring broke!

Post game are you able to switch party members at will?

right after this you go to the abbey and get your jobs

its best to get some healing herbs though, hope you keep a good stock since the protag will be your big damage dealer

At end game you can swap between whatever character setup you want

>party of heroes who have fought monsters, dragons, and underwater kings
>get trapped in a church basement with a wooden door
Really?

wow you fucking suck. sell your copy of the game you retard.

How do I get another Healslime heart?

It's not that you can't break out, it's just a very nicely crafted door and you don't want to ruin it.

Casino

Sometimes, being a good guy sucks.

I literally work on Dragon Quest X and I have been campaigning for a localization from within the office. Please help.

I did my part. I also asked them to localize all the 3DS games.

Thinking of using a second e-mail and doing it again

where do I get the password to enter the bandit camp?

Give me the scoop on the DQH2 localization. We are getting it, right?

>all kiefer had to do to escape his role as a king was to change his vocation

you dumb fuk

also I find it funny that this move implies that he stays around long enough to get the magic carpet or a fire sword

Defeat the 4 bandits first.

But I never ran into any bandits, despite everyone in town saying there's bandit problems

Nevermind I just found them

>welcome to the sweaty cave, how tough are ya?
>PISS OFF!
>Okay, you're plenty tough, go on in.

It implies he gets summoned back from the past to do a super attack, doesn't it? That's how I interpreted the tablets being inserted into the pedestal. As for the fire sword, that's just a reference to Flame Slash being his only move.

He had the anti-undead move too

kill a bunch of healslimes and hope they drop one

or tame a couple and make a tablet of healslimes

That's just the hero intro for DQ7 characters.

Commonly characters ride in on Empyrea

He does? He fucked off before he learned it here, I think.

You never really get a chance to use it

I tried using that one Monster Masher skill on one ten times before killing it but it didn't do anything. I thought that was the trick to it.

of course the only one I don't have is Aishe because she's literally who

Well actually I don't think there's one for Ruff either but he shows up in Maribel's and Melvin's

its called animal magnetism, is that what your using?

Yep.

...

>portrait makes you think he'll turn on you or at least be an asshole
>he's an unabiguously good person that just wants to escape his future as king and become a valorous knight for a girl he loves

He gets Flame Slash at 5, the undead masher move at 15, and a wind slash attack at 20.

are you sure you're killing the healslime you're trying to tame last

...

>unambiguously good person

Nah, he's a bit of a cunt desu. Making low-key moves on an engaged lady and not even bothering to say goodbye or write a fucking letter to his family who adores him.

So did 8's hero get a canon name for the 3ds version like how 7's did with Auster?

Positive. It summoned allies so it turned into "Healslime x2", but still.

>Making low-key moves on an engaged lady

He was in love user, you can't tell your heart how to feel.

>and not even bothering to say goodbye

Admittedly that was dickish, but he knew if he did his father would've stopped him.

>or write a fucking letter to his family who adores him.

He did writer a letter, just to you.

No, seriously, someone please help. What am I supposed to do in this situation? Is there even a way I can revive people without money or a priest?

Just kill monsters until you can afford resurrection, it's not expensive at that level.

If you die you just get sent back to the church.

If you need to heal, sell some shit.

but I'm trying my hardest to stay under level 20 for when I get my jobs so I can farm slime dungeon.

Is level 11 too low for the Slaughtomaton?

i dunno then, keep trying

oh did you already tame a healslime? I think you have to visit monster meadows and give them a house so you can recruit extras

Pretty sure I was around there when I beat him.

your level is fine. it's just sometimes you get unlucky.

But yeah you don't even get Yggdrasil leaves or Zing until 12 hours later

You do get one Yggdrasil Leaf, but you'll probably use it in the Nava fight

Fuck guys I think my game glitched, Maribel just disappeared.

What is the max rank of jobs? How many stars?

>get the magic key
>still can't open up all chests

is there another key

generally after the magic key is the ultimate key in the games

>oh did you already tame a healslime

Nope. Anyway, guess I'll try to find another one and see if it works this time.

8 stars. They'll turn gold when you max it.

8 I believe

Why don't you just load your last save?

Ok just checking.

is there anything wrong with making my final party maribel/ruff/mervyn?

Aishe seems boring as fuck

You can buy a thieves key in the town by alltrades abbey. It opens locked chests.

Not really no, the job systems makes it so that really you can make any characters work and have a good party.

I got the Bandit's key after alltrades and then the magic key just earlier

because I'm retarded and I haven't saved since I started the game

bandit's key =/= thief's key

Mervyn fucks off during the victory lap, so keep that in mind if you like talking to your characters

First rule of Dragon Quest. Save before and after every new location, boss or story event.

I know but like I said, I'm retarded. I've learned my lesson.

Who else here renamed all the characters to the real names the first change they got?

Ruff - Gabo
Mervyn - Melvin
Aishe - Aira

Sell any excess items you don't need like leather equipments or wayfarer clothes you found at people's home. If it's enough to resurrect all your party, then good. If not, use the money to rest at inn and once you've fully healed, go to lower level are where you can solo the monsters to farm some gold for revive.

lower level area*

Ruff is okay to me because his name was given as a response to the onomatopoeia he gives, which in English, Ruff makes sense.

Mervyn may be a real name but it just seems like engrish when he used to be Melvin.

I renamed aishe to trash

>Oh great I got two pairs I sure hope nothing bad happens

FUCK

Melvin and Mervyn both sound exactly the same in Japanese. I think that Mervyn was chosen to make it more European to fit the theme

Cayenne was just accused of poisoning the food, where do I go now?

>double or nothing!
>dealer has an Ace
>impossible to win

Mervyn is an older Welsh name meaning "Great Lord," and the origin is Merfyn, whereas Melvin is a new name with no real etymological background..

>playing anything other than slots and lucky panels

At the very least I'm taking the Sir off of his name

I did cards just a bit to see what the hubub was.

It sucks because if you really want a payout you need to win a shitload of rounds of double or nothing. if the dealer has a high card or worse an ace, you're fucked

>You will never burn Present day Vogograd to the ground and rebuild it, sparing the children.

>You will never not go to the mayor with the tablet fragment and instead replace the fake fragment with the real one and destroy the fake one into tiny bits, shouting a proclamation about how everyone has been living a lie and instead everyone should not shy their eyes away from the truth

>Instead the party just brings it to him and he destroys it as expected while you do absolutely nothing to stop him

fuck everything.

Ruff -> Gabo
Sir Mervyn -> Mervyn

I left Aishe's name alone.

>half way through a dungeon
>someone masters a class
Should I go get him a new class or finish the dungeon?

Leave and get a new class.

I'd finish it unless everyone else has their vocation mastered and you want everyone to move on

How useful is that class for you?

Could I have avoided killing Wiggles? I'll literally reset my game over this.

I had no previous attachment to the old names so I've stuck with the new ones. On a related note, looking up any sort of information on locations and abilities is a pain since they seem to have been 100% renamed and all the Wiki/FAQs are for PS1. Hope somebody cares enough to update all of that eventually.

bump

Yes, reset that fucking game you monster.

They ask you to say yes like 4 times, what the fuck do you think?

Time to reset.

you fucking heartless bastard

Gladiator seems pretty helpful for the strength right now, but I wanted to work on Priest next to get Paladin.

>he didn't get all the basic vocations he wanted out of the way before moving on to intermediary ones

How to grind classes after level 20?

Play the game

Wait, what happens if you kill Wiggles? All I know is that keeping him alive leaves him a hero and he takes all the credit for all the shit that went down in Nottagen

You fucking bastardo!!! The thread is almost dead...time is of the utmost importance and you talk that shit to me? No! You die now, you'll never live to see the next thread! *enters darkdestructo demon mode and knocks you down* Heh heh heh!! Pay the price for this insolence you have wrought upon me!!!! *punches you in the face over and over until you die*

If you kill Wiggles then you wind up running away from the evil bugs like sissies and the town gets permanently destroyed.

If you kill it, it can't scare the worms of woe away and they raze the town despite your best efforts, meaning Nottagen will be permanently gone in both the past and present for the rest of the game.

please respond

Leave town, go back, and enter the mansion through the big main door. You should bump into Cayenne on the way out, and then the rest will be obvious.
