Burst could arguably be the best if it weren't for the atrocious framerate. There's not a whole lot wrong with the game proper, it's a pretty solid beat-em'-up.

I'm full idort, have all the games, I just generally prefer 2d style beat em ups. Plus I think Burst did such a good job establishing the characters that none of the other games matched it for characterization.

EV and Deep Crimson are tied for second for me. Playing Deep Crimson co-op was awesome and the Yoma lair had some truly difficult challenges.

Definitely not. In Japan that was originally its own game outright, coming out a year after the Hanzo story game. They definitely improved the engine somewhat by then. Still not perfect but a little smoother. The framerate didn't bug me much though, I've played beat em ups with worse.
