Battlefield One is going to surprise a lot of people.

The beta surprised me. I hated 3 & 4, thought bf2 was ok, loved 1942 and vietnam. This game feels like a return to form. So many battlefield moments.

I also think the single player will be a decent indiana jones esque adventure with laughs and loves. - the entire package will be great. Its going to be a sleeper hit imo - even neckbeards are going to praise it.

i miss linear games, with cool characters, badass cinematics an immersive story and with a fun (or al least not boring) gameplay. Literrally everything a game needs. That map was sick though - its probably the best map they had to show. It had a bit of everything. CQB in the town, vehicle combat near the tracks, lone wolf operations in the desert, air combat.

I really think it will be the most popular map after a few weeks.

So far I haven't seen an all well rounded game this year.
The only one that comes close to this is I guess Inside but it was only 2 hours long and could have easily been a phone game.

Tbh I think this has been a shockingly decent year so far for AAAshit. If Dishonored 2, Shadow Warrior 2, and Gravity Rush 2 don't disappoint then I'd venture so far as to say it's been great.

What needs to be done is that there are methods for getting from the story and mission points quickly for when you don't feel like traveling for a long time. Other times you might feel like taking the trip just for the experience.

MGSV does this well, with the helicopters. The effect is that the level for the mission just happens to be quite large.

Having gotten to play a closed off demo of mafia 3 containing a handful of side missions and a story mission, I can say that it's basically on par with mafia 2. Tons of graphical fuckups and shit though, hopefully that's the sort of fuckups that are fixable before launch.

Mechanically though, it's pretty similar. gunplay isn't that different, stealth was dumb and almost nonfunctional at times outside of the story mission, then seemed to work perfectly in the story mission, which makes me think they've modified specific story missions to have different AI. Which is standard, but... I don't know, just weird.

BF1 beta gave me vibes of battlefront. I didn't like battlefront. I didn't like the train, I didn't like how it worked overall, not for me, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game.

watchdogs 2 has been leaked for a week now and it's pretty much just watchdogs 1.5

Drone is cool, but extremely limited until you upgrade, in terms of both range and utility, it's basically useless except for tagging enemies until you get the hacking upgrades and other shit.

Multiplayer isn't functional yet but it's probably just as bland and monotonous as the first game. The new hacking tools are okay, but it's just adding shit that really should have been in the first one, it's not jumping out of the box.
