>decided to give it a try because its free to play
>turns out its just a MOBA but with space ships

getting real tired of this shit.

It also advertises itself as a space MOBA.

Which is why I didn't give it a try.

>MOBA
Whoever created that franchise is a fucking dick

wasn't there already this, like star conflict or something
a straight copy of world of tanks style?

EVE Online is still the best spess simulator there is. More spreadsheets than combat.

Am i a weird person if i never played EVE Online ? game sounds like might become a second job.

>game sounds like might become a second job.
That's pretty much it.

Yes. Literally every other person in the world played EVE at some point. You are, indeed, weird.

>game sounds like might become a second job.
its really not grindy at all, the skill que does its job all the time
the only job part i can think of is some big corps quotas on shit like duty shifts, mining, bounty kills

I quit because its blob chase bigger blob and theres nothing you can do vs afk cloaked reds in your system. Oh and shooting structures was SO much fun
about the only good time i had was sitting on a drag bubble popping idiots

Icefrog should've never learn about WC3, custom map scene was dead because of his atrocity. So much potential and rising talents wasted because all you could ever see in lobby list is fucking Dota to kill any mood to create fun maps.

>this is considered exciting and epic

They are introducing free to play clones soon. Much better trial system than what they've had since the beginning since it might take a long time to determine whether you like it or not.

It's a one of a kind game but it's really not for everyone.

The ships feel more like driving a space dump truck than a proper capital ship.

EVE is best played either solo or with a small group of relaxed people. it only becomes spreadsheet simulator if you join a huge corp/alliance where you're required to do shit like mining or planetary interaction.

How fun is EVE for a solo casual player? I just want to play some good and comfy space game an hour each day

You know that fractured space is actually good, right? Its like a MOBA, but without all the bullshit of MOBA's

I am sorta new and the game has probably the hardest learning curve of pretty much any game. bar ones that are poorly designed or just do not work.

But its not as hard as some people may say, after around 3 hours of playing I had got to grips with the basics of mining and exploring and stuff.when you find what you want to do it wont take long to get to grips with what you want to do. but there is a lot to learn and questions will always be frequent but asking in the help chat will get you quick advice and there are many nice people in the game

>EVE
>Space simulator

>this
One of the most harrowing experience i had playing vidya. Seeing the list of custom games in W3 dwindle little by little every week till there was nothing else but dota. I was lucky just to play a vanilla skirmish once a month.

>the game is only as boring as you are
do what you want how you want. however, if you're just starting I would recommend you avoid mining and stick with mission running or killing pirate NPCs (i.e. rats).

here, have a referral link for an extra week of game time on the trial.

>there are many nice people in the game
do not trust this user. this guy wants to get you into lowsec where his buddies are gatecamping so they can blow you up.

>multicolored dots

wew exciting gameplay you have there, bud.

Im so pissed off about this game. Everything seems just right with it except the fact that it is a MOBA. I always hated dota and all the games like it but seeing this be a moba makes me hate it even more

the average player doesn't participate in "wars" of that scale, which are basically just a huge clusterfuck anyway. the real fun is when you're solo or in a small group where you're actually doing things instead of looking at a broadcast window and clicking what you're told to click.

I played the tutorial earlier this morning and had a blast, can't wait to get home and queue up.

One thing that needs to be worked on though is implementing larger scale battles, 5v5 doesn't feel epic enough for space combat.
