SK2 is the only game that actually edges to towards being good, but they rushed it. The Versus games are pretty much musou without land concurring, SK1 has framerate drops out the ass and BA has the worst OST in the franchise, which is horrendous for a rhythm game.

Can someone explain why SV always gets lumped in with EV for these complaints? SV had a serious story. Not a great one, mind you, but it wasn't just happy fanservice fun time. And the girls could only maybe be called "one note fanservice puns" in the silly side stories. And if you have a problem with those I guess you just hate fun.

Hanzo's just being a retread of the one from Burst but now with Gessen and New Hebijo thrown into the mix, New Hebijo being hilariously bad with killing a huge majority of the cast in the dumbest way possible, Gessen being Gessen (EVIL), and Crimson Squad being the only somewhat acceptable one.

When you go into EV, expect nothing. Fucking nothing happens in EV.

The difference is the Nep fanbase actually understands what their series is and that it's made on a low budget. And are able to enjoy it despite that. Meanwhile (western) Senran fans think Burst is God's gift to gaming. They expect the games should have deeper gameplay than Bayo 2 and more enthralling stories than golden era jrpgs. And when neither of these things happen (because why the fuck would they) they immediately start screaming for Yumi's head and scapegoat her for everything they don't like. Even things completely unrelated or were a problem before she existed.

Nep is good for what it is.
Marvelous is bigger than IF and can unlock bigger budget, while Tamsoft is getting bigger and bigger. The game also sell way more in japan (the only territory that matter to them) than any Nep games.
That's really not the same thing and I think it's fair to expect more out of the Senran serie.
