Infusing your ripple into tools was a great way to demonstrate technique and creativity. I think Stands would have been better if they were like a cloak. You were your stand and use its abilities. Instead of the user saying the Stands name like a Pokémon Trainer. Although that breaks with stands like Notorious B.I.G.

With Hamon, new abilities came out of nowhere constantly, and that was just in the two shortest parts, and the materials that could conduct Hamon were always changing too. If it were just liquids that conduct Hamon, it could have been done creatively, but there's nothing creative about it when hair, metal, and clothes can all conduct it as well, just because.

Also, having Stands be separate from the user makes them more unique, allows for automatic and ranged Stands and the Stand designs.

As much as I love Pucci and the entire end sequence of SO, the first half is such a boring slog and hte cast are so underused that I can't say in good conscience that it's better than VA, which has a great cast and great fights. It doesn't aim to be more than a monster of the week part,but it does an excellent job being a monster of the week part. The Stands are also way cooler than the Stands in SO, and while it's a little unfair to take it into consideration, PHF really elevates VA.
