yes, yes and yes. it's basically a final fantasy game with better writing. uematsu soundtrack as well.

it also has lots of very atmospheric short stories written by some award winning japanese author and are really fucking good.

If this game was given a couple more million for some fancy cgs, maybe clean up load times, and had been branded as FFXIII it would have gotten 9s and 9.5s across the board and heralded as a return to form for the series.

I had to buy two copies because of it, apparently the glue used to seal the paper sleeve seeped through due to heat or whatever and damaged the disc.

i've played this game twice for almost 100 hours (3-4 years apart) and both quit it just before the final dungeon. no idea why. i even did all the optional stuff both times. just never finished the actual story.

Resonance of fate was a boring grindfest towards the end anyway. good riddance.

It required minimal grinding, as long as you switched their roles often enough and used grenades.

Neverland however is a completely different story.

Seth and Gongora "die" and return to their world, Jansen and Ming get married, Tolten and Ming unite and rule the world, Kaim and Sarah raise their grandchildren until they die of old age. Saved you some time.

Neverland wasn't so bad since I had a lot of fun with gun customization
I also liked the Gabriel and Ethereal Queen of this game.
