I never played a Souls game until Bloodborne but I found them pretty easy since I had been playing Monster Hunter for so long. Dark Souls 3 was easier than Bloodborne in every way but parrying, but not as fun.

It's a superficial mechanic and it's completely useless.

The limit is 31% and you need to farm in chalice dungeons + get a curse.
Gems don't make your weapons OP, they make them decent. Try to finish any level in NG+ without gems and you'll understand.

Bloodborne is the only true AAA game of the franchise. BandaiNamco helps publishing Dark games, but not much else

Of course the theme and art direction are the most important factors, but myself, I can feel the love and care they put into BB and as a way of thanking them I want to draw stuff. The staleness that pours out of DaS2 and DaS3 isn't present at all. Those two smell of contractual obligation "Oh, we promised 3 games for BandaiNamco? Aight, errrr- you guys do them while we mess with this cool concept, outside talent and new engine"

Ignore all memes that say any one game is similar to Souls, it won't be and you'll be disappointed if you expect such things.
For example I never got the "Dragons Dogma is like Souls" thing, they are nothing alike and I know some people dislike DD because they thought it would be in the same realm.

The best way is to play it on a 3DSxl, or buy a WiiU and play MH3Ultimate (MH4U is better but that one ain't bad). I'm not sure if the online for that is dead already though, but it's the newest thing on a homeconsole.

That or you could emulate MHFU (PPSSPP) or MH3 (Dolphin) although the experience isn't nearly as good, playing it online is best

Have 300 hours on this game and NEVER encountered any issues with it. Before and after updates, and before and after modifying my ps4.

It's weird how every Ubisoft game plays the same, the climb-the-tower-and-look-for-points-on-the-map thing on all of their open worlds for example.
MS likes to completely butcher their devs (Rare, Lionheart, between more)
Sony does it too, it canceled some games just recently but they were genuinely in development or looked like shit.

I feel like every western publisher poisons their devs with the same feeling on their games, a united vision across franchises and genres, while I can't say the same about japan, that all "X-japanese-publisher" games feel similar
