Every time I played Loyal is up on the scaffolding by the right hand side of the bomber, you have to go into first person and jump to be able to target and talk to him. I think it's the only NPC in the entire game that lets you actually talk in mid-jump. He never leaves that area ever so it may look like he's vanished.

NCR is spread way too thin for any kind of impact. If they control Hoover Dam, it's likely that they'd end up focusing on that area and actually affecting it positively.

At least that's how I rationalized it. The legion fucks half the place over(and then some), House is more focused on his own place(and who knows what he'll decide to do with you after), and going independent will be too chaotic for any progress to occur.

It also says that because he is so happy with your performance and loyalty, he actually listens to suggestions you have about running New Vegas and the surrounding area, which is pretty cool. Yea, second run I went for House since I read up on the endings after my first one, and it seemed swell enough. He still felt somewhat shifty at times.

Probably the highlight of that run though was getting to see the legions full incompetence. Caesar just assumed that I destroyed the fort's bunker, and didn't bother having anyone check out to see if there were ruins there or you know, an army of robots.

Late reply, but wearing disguises for any faction (even the factions they're strictly opposed to) will keep both the NCR and the Legion death squads off your back, although you might want to change out of your disguise once you reach a camp or a town.

Shady Sands, of all F1 towns, evolving into the NCR, is probably the stupidest part of the original lore. Right next to talking deathclaws (and lol xdd wacky randum xoxo Pinky and Brain reference in the middle of the big quest relevant to several major plotlines), but that was retconned by bugged ending anyway.

The 1911 is universally known as the king and there is no debating it. Its historical use and longevity, the tons of demand for it still TODAY, the huge modification community. Everybody knows this. It's literally THE firearm.

The 1911 in NV comes in 4 variations, default, slide with serrations, silenced (or a combo of these 2) or joshua's short one. it stands out with its finish, the silencer's color, everything. And there's a billion 1911 mods as well.

The Hi-Power isn't so much a "refinement" as a "remake without using any previous patented tech". It does feature improvements, such as high capacity mag (which is why it was originally made) and allegedly 'slightly' better reliability, but the 1911 is already one of the most reliable weapons ever.
