60fps has been the standard since the 80s. This is a fact. Televisions ran at 60hz, so games were made to match that. Look at the NES and well over 90% of its library runs at 60fps. 30fps only became prevalent with the rise of 3D gaming because hardware wasn't advanced enough to do any better. Even then, it was a compromise and not a standard. Quake, a game released in 1996, was revolutionary in being one of the first games to support hardware acceleration, which has the sole purpose of making games run better. So even back then, they recognized 3D games ran like shit and tried to find ways to fix that.

It was when even 2D games had trouble running at full speed. But they still pushed for that 60fps anyway, even if it meant occasional slowdown.

Bayonetta was a good game so I'm not sure how it having similar gameplay is a bad thing. Bayonetta gameplay + Taro story = Fantastic game.
Sure, some of the gameplay seems recycled, but its still got some unique touches of its own, such as the bullet hell enemy attacks. Besides that, the game is supposed to be an RPG, so there's probably some RPG mechanics to differentiate it gameplay wise from Platinum's other titles.
And gameplay isn't the only thing that makes a game, especially a game like that. Automata's primary pull will be its story.

A console needs good exclusives to justify its existence outside of the innately more powerful and flexible PC, and given how many of the once definitively exclusive titles for both platforms have wound up on PC, it gets harder for the platform to justify its existence. I mean, the Xbox One has already negated its purpose by taking all of those big-draw exclusives like Forza, Gears and Halo and handing them off to PC, and PS4's steady stream of Japanese games seem to increasingly be multiplats.

Look, I really like my PS4. Even like my Wii U. But I also have spent a hell of a lot more time on my PC these last few years than I have with either of those platforms, and it seems clear to me that consoles are moving into being second-best almost across the board, since they lack any meaty unique exclusives to draw attention.

Facebook games and Dota 2 doesn't require, nor has very high graphic fidelity.
