You're right that spectator view didn't really give a clear indication on how it was actually playing the game. But I sincerely doubt the game is fun beyond a few hours. Nothing of it seems enticing for you to play. Why play that over Battlerite for example? The ball and building doesn't really help it.

You can also build defenses which they made out to be a big deal but not really since they get killed pretty fast.
