But if having a group of actual companions (a rather charming group IMO) to chat about events and NPC dialogue with would make it more fun for you, then no. Put them in a character's inventory and at abby's you will be able to turn them into a class of that monster. All skills learned as a monster stay on the character even when changing classes.

Don't talk to The Wizz in the past after getting The Great Leveler with Maribel in your party. If you do that you can unfuck it by going back to a previous save though.

The accents aren't TOO bad, (aside from the parts where characters say something in one language and then repeat themselves in English) the only thing that's really worth complaining about is the name changes. The only people that care about those are the people who've played the original game, though.

Puff puffs were changed to something else. Like, you know that part in IV in the first chapter where a wife shows her ring or something to her amnesiac husband? She gives him a puff puff to restore his memories in the Japanese version. If you examine the door to the Queen's private chambers in that desert town in IX you hear things like a servant commenting on the Queen's boob size and another where she goes "Kyah! W-Where are you touching, your majesty!?" It's not big or important, but it's there.

I beat the final boss with MC, Ruff, Maribel, and Mervyn at level range 35~39. I had to grind a bit to get Maribel endgame ready, so my levels ended up a little higher than I intended, but it's no big deal. I'd do anything to have Maribel in my final party where she belongs. I finished at 90 hours of playtime.

I liked Aishe, too, but she didn't compare to the other three for me, so she had to be left behind.

Having worked at call centers, I can tell you the same people who man the phones are also doing electronic tickets. If you go grinding for them, sure, you'll overlevel and can't level jobs. But odds are you won't grind metals because you aren't an idiot, and later on the level caps for areas are high enough that it doesn't matter.

Either as a very rare drop from wild healslimes, or by fighting them in dungeons created by traveler's tablets. The second option is much more reliable, but requires that you send a healslime to Monster Meadows. Having a Monster Masher in your party (Master Thief and Shepard) will make it easier to get hearts in general.

You can also find them in a few treasure chests and as rewards from the matching game in the casinos.

Fun fact: Enemies in DQ have individual resistances to certain status elements. Up at least until DQ 4 or 5, Dragon enemies were extremely weak to instant-death spells and had a high chance to dying to them. If you run into a tough enemy, it's worth it to start spamming status effects to see what takes and how often.

Not gonna lie, I would love for an action rpg remake of DQ1. The world is small enough that it can be seamless and they can use DQH1 and 2 as a base for the combat. This is the only DQ remake I can think of that this idea could work for.

Protip: I used a Prime cut from Post-game boss 1 and fed the slime it and 5 meaty treats before killing it it was mostly rng because it could of ran.

Just be aware the plat king does 233 damage... i'm level fucking 50.

Protip: Stainless whatever it's in the demon lords palace in the past. Tame it and make a tablet out of it. You can get automaton hearts. You can't get a golem heart except for one freebie. You ahve to tame collum of golems in the cave to another world.
