Chances are, it'll be something dumb like Chronicles of Elyria with some changes. >That Twitch thing This is not a good thing.
Samuel Parker
Will the creatures in this game have large talons? So far, the best MMO for impressive talons is still World of Warcraft.
The talons of the griffins are very razor sharp and amazing looking. I find myself just flying nowhere in particular on my mount to stare at the talons.
Will only play if there is at least a few creatures with impressive talons.
Hunter Long
It'll be Chronicles of Elyria but with actual fucking funding and developers.
Nathaniel Ward
If it's a genuine sandbox, with a real economy, maybe it can be as good as Runescape.

Why are they trying to make games? Aren't there much more profitable ventures? At least do a mobile game and milk those normies

They're already in most non-game ventures, so they decided 'Why not use something else we own (Twitch) and make a variety of popular games for everyone around them!"
Oliver Sullivan
>maybe it can be as good as Runescape
I doubt it, because even Runescape went to shit. G.E. was a mistake.

This sandbox has one thing other sandboxes don't have. Boat loads of money and reputable devs.

Nathan Thompson
I missed them, thanks. I guess I'll watch it tomorrow on jewtube.
Dominic Sanchez
That actually sounds pretty good. They take something popular and mostly stagnant and promise something interesting and concrete added to the experience. Since amazon is not a big name developer, it is not entirely impossible that they actually happen to make good games and save the industry. On the other hand, since amazon is known to slave-drive their employees and don't really have any game making experience, they could also turn out to be the worst new party in the game industry in decades. Both outcomes should prove interesting.
Joseph Allen
>slave-drive their employees
To be fair a lot of the people bitching about working for Amazon can't handle corporate pressure or hate walking (the warehouses. Mostly old fucks). Some people are cut out for it. Other's not so much.
Christopher Baker
pretty sure it was implied he meant Runescape when it was good.
David Taylor
Amazon is developing it? Amazon. Who do they have in their game division? I didn't even know they had one. Are we sure they aren't just publishing it?
Gabriel Morgan
I don't know about their warehouse workers, I was talking about their programmers and IT staff actually.
Gabriel Cox
They literally have a game studio named Amazon Game Studio
Isaiah Taylor
The very same

They paid developers from big name games like portal and farcry to make them a game. The game they just livestreamed was basically Rocket League of Legends, and as long as it controls well I could see it being popular.
Benjamin Collins
Ah. yeah the warehouse jobs have an INSANE amount of walking. They're also very strict with times, down to seconds. Also you have to get checked by security before you leave due to theft.
A lot of people complain about that. If you're young and healthy the warehouse job is fucking cake.
Dylan Watson
They make shitty mobile games
Dylan Peterson
This game is being developed directly by amazon. They hired a shit ton of MMO devs to work on it.

Elijah Thomas
Well shit son I guess I'm behind the times.
Wyatt Jenkins
>try around 8:46 for the sizzle reel thing they showed >twitch playbreakaway/v/92134477 cheers bro
Samuel Nelson
Amazon will make a drone game and your player data will be used to train the neural net.
Matthew Williams
They weren't vocal about it. They quietly hired a shit ton of people. The last one was Colin Johanson.
Wyatt Collins
DESU Amazon doesn't have a game developing history so they don't have a profit pattern to follow and jew to the last shekel. They have to take chances and have to allow for creative freedom. It might be ok, for an MMO that is
Jason King
>Pandering to Twitch streamers >"You can be a streamer too!" Besides that, the last 2 look "passable if done right," which for a HG clone isn't too hard, just be better than the Culling, but for an MMO, they're climbing Mt. Everest here.
Ryan Campbell
>the guy that directed guild wars 2
Brayden Rogers
>every player just crashes into walls intentionally over and over >amazon drones across the world start knocking themselves out of the sky like automatic pinatas
Dominic Sullivan

It'd only take successful runs i assume, and thus any super skilled runs would result in the drones doing some dmc shit to send you your letter from your twin brother
Juan Hall
>Carve your own destiny Stop. using. that. cliche.
Brayden Perez
Crucible will be shit because a "last man standing" shit doesn't work with unique customizeable heroes. You just pick the same broken shit and ruin the game by balance changes constantly to break the meta aka exactly what happened to the Culling
Arma 3 BR and H1Z1 are still the only options if you want a battle royale game, and one of them is dead and the other is buggy and pretty shitty in general
Juan Russell
ah so thats where all those arenanet and blizzard devs went
Isaiah Sullivan
wow killer inbound
Dominic Mitchell
Well, my point was, Culling was good for like a month. So you just gotta make a game better than modern Culling for a while and rake in. As for "balance," assuming they go the route of "everyone is overpowered!" it could be good, something many Developers don't because whiners everywhere. My hopes aren't high, but I'll keep a curious eye on it, especially if free.
titty fucking christ this is like if Gamestop became a game publisher.
Nathan Brooks
Its not "everyone is overpowered" because that would be the Culling route with perks. This is "pick a unique hero" aka there will always be some broken character with dumb ass abilities and in general making a hunger game/battle royale game without the aspect of looting and minor survival elements takes almost all of the game away.
Why the fuck would you play a hunger game hero brawler thing when you could just play their shitty hero ball brawler or something else?
Noah Moore
Amazon has actual devs and money. Oh and one of the biggest cloud and hosting infrastructures in the world. AWS is huge
Benjamin Martinez
GameStop is a publisher and developer now.
Ayden Long
Uh user, they released their first game a while back.
Kevin Brooks
>Gamestop publishing games I have some bad news
Ayden Foster
>This is "pick a unique hero" aka there will always be some broken character with dumb ass abilities isn't the fact that it's 13 players in a match gonna balance itself out?
If 1 dude is more broken than the others you can bet your ass that the rest of the players are gonna gang up on him first
Alexander Jones
>see that mountain range over there in the distance? >you can climb it

Get with the times, grandpa
Aaron Flores
these kind of games are empty promises. Because it gives you emphasis you can "DO ANYTHING!" when in reality the game is still on rails. It'll have success in the betas and take a huge dump on release
Gavin Barnes
Personally I fucking hate it. The pay is great but like you said they're incredibly anal about time and productivity rates. You're supposed to work at 100% productivity all the time based on units processed per hour (honestly not hard), but they'll give you a write-up if you're even at 99.5% for one week when it was entirely their fault. I got written up a couple months ago because the warehouse was being renovated and there was literally no work, so naturally it was my fault that I couldn't make rate that week when they didn't have any work for me to even do.
The rest of the stuff like security checks I can understand but they literally get people down to the second on shit. If I could find a job that payed as much with similar benefits though, I'd leave immediately.
Anthony Morales

Camden Parker
I fucking hate the warehouse because now I have to pay sales tax here. It's fucking 10.25%.
No I've never worked there. I just know from others who have. They are so anal about productivity like you said.
Anthony Taylor
Depends on how dropping in works. Since its heroes, you could just drop in next to someone who counters you and die. This isn't a respawn game, you could just die to bullshit. This doesn't sound like a good idea at all to make. They could have just made a normal BR game but not shitty and still be better than any other option.
Like in a no respawn scenario, someone who can stun/slow is just going to not be fun to play against. Anyone with high mobility will just be very easy to play and get to the last stages of the game, and obviously this game will have some shitty hook hero because they all need one
Owen Cook
and by that I mean expedited because you aren't being kicked out of a country so you can get arrested in another. Fuck.
Xavier Carter
Oh, and also - I'm an Amazon employee and I never even heard of this until just now. They usually air all of their big projects on the TVs in the break rooms but this is the first I've seen of this MMO. Honestly it looks pretty fucking cool and I'm hoping it'll turn out good.
Watch me not even get a bonus or a beta invite despite being an employee.
Easton Stewart
Well what's the point of calling them "reputable" and being optimistic? They're only reputation is for working on a dick & balls game.
You can't have it both ways.
Thomas Taylor
to be fair none of the ones out are good
Jaxon Green
That's what he's getting at.
Christian Moore
Which good ones? Most of those are all PvP gankboxes.
William Rodriguez
That wouldn't be too bad, what bothers me is the "you have to watch streams to get ingame points to buy ingame shit" i.e. you have to not-play games in order to p2w at the game.
Joshua Diaz
this is going to be
AMAZonING
Nathaniel Williams
Have you never heard of eve online, runescape, mabinogi, or haven & hearth?
Caleb Sanders
So do the streamers have to also watch streams? Who streams the streamers?
Cooper Reyes
More interestingly, the streamer person can create events to fuck up someone who's too strong and makes the game unfun. That part, I think, is probably going to greatly help game health.
Matthew King
Who watches the watchers?
Eli Myers
>h&h >eve >not good
Oliver Jones

Daniel Morales
As an employee of Amazon I can say it will rape you off your time, money, and self respect.
Carson Adams

So a standard MMO, then.
I feel your pain though. Fuck this job.
Grayson Foster
desu the 3 sound pretty fun if done right. It's a big if, especially in 2016.
Adrian Johnson
>games.amazon.com/games
seems a little redundant.
Evan Williams
Its Arma 3 BR/H1Z1/Culling/Rust BR but with heroes which ruins everything about it. That type of no respawn game literally will not work with heroes because its going to be in a constant flux of meta heroes and people being unpickable.
Kayden Russell
can we lead a Cred Forums raid group and kill all streamers?

>TwitchCon, the annual convention dedicated to its namesake's popular game-streaming service, kicked off on Thursday evening with an event hosted by Amazon Game Studios. There, the game publisher announced that Twitch will begin doling out a form of currency called "Stream+," which will debut in the upcoming sports-brawling multiplayer game Breakaway. >An Amazon Game Studios rep mentioned the currency while describing various ways the new game will "integrate directly" with Twitch (which makes a certain level of sense, since Amazon acquired Twitch in 2014). The reveal included a brief snippet of Breakaway action that confirmed viewers' ability to wager on matches and "earn Stream+ Coins by watching."

Jaxon Fisher
Amazon should've just flushed the money down the toilet. The era of MMORPGs is done and over; WoW ONLY maintains a high subscribe base thanks to turning itself into Facebook. Plus, the EverCrack addiction situation, where players who actively despise the game still refuse to let go because they've invested too many years into it.
The hot new genre is ASSFAGGOTs, but of the TF2 ripoff variety. You know, not DOTA2 or LeL, but Overwatch and Paladins.
Aiden Peterson
You obviously aren't ambitious enough

Anthony Campbell
The only one that ever was was the DayZ mod when only arma players knew about it. This genre cannot survive success. "Will this guy I met try to kill me or will we work together?" is an interesting question to ask of your players. We're going to kill everyone we see and the zombies don't even factor into anything isn't even a question.
Easton Watson
What doesn't amazon have their hands in these days? Pretty soon they'll be an Amazon porn studio. Prime video exclusives, I can see it now.
Tyler Smith
What will it take for you to play? >free sub to anyone with a Prime Account

amazon studios said "lets take popular twitch games, mash them together and make our own"

Yeah, I'm definitely sure they force you to use twitch, because that's a smart idea, just like I'm sure you can see the future.
Jacob Russell
What a fucking imbecile. Stop posting and reassess your life.
Jordan Reed
that's fucking genius
Connor Smith
>Focused on emergent gameplay and rich social features – including deep Twitch integration with broadcaster-led events, achievements, and rewards So basically they're going to dump a bunch of money into trying to force artificial interest in the game through Twitch, and then when it doesn't catch on they'll make it F2P and let it slowly fizzle out
Angel Carter
That sounds disgusting and inhuman, but hey, thank you Ford for efficiency.
Brody Lewis
Well the only thing that looks cool is weather and seasons. That's about it. Otherwise I don't have enough info to pass judgement.
Luis Gonzalez
Seems like they're announcing it too early really. A lot of games can get canned at this stage.
Lincoln Sanders
why can't anyone do a decent MMO? that WH40K MMO looked interesting and had potential, but most people say it's filled with problems and dead. Why do these companies dump millions into a game only for it to die shortly? why not just make a decent game?
Ethan Smith
Executive meddling is the major reason.
Sebastian Wood
Because they're made to make money, not to be fun. The mobile game principle of only fun enough to keep playing is the driving one nowadays because of that investment. If you don't get your money back, it's not worth the dev time.
Gabriel Evans
>people are willing to do it >they volunteer to do it and receive compensation >this is bad
Parker Perry
Well for someone without a college education (and a lot of people with one), what else is there? Flipping burgers? You literally cannot live in the US on minimum wage. You can meme all you want but the way things are in the US is fucked. No other first world country has people working as many hours as we do for such little pay and compensation.
Aaron Hernandez
>meddling
If you mean last crusade that game was developed by a company who's only major games were snack food promotionals and went from promising the world to making a buggy mutliplayer arena of the space marine game.
>No other first world country has people working as many hours as we do for such little pay and compensation. >but let's keep importing brown people to flood the labor market and depress wages so CEOs can get bigger bonuses
Jaxon Reyes
You know how game systems evolve over time? Like if you play SSI's Gold Box games now, they're still fucking great but it's a pain in the ass to heal your party by having your clerics cast heal light wounds via essentially tabbing in one direction through your spell list, pressing a button, tabbing through your party list to the target and then pressing another button. Then you have to memorize your spells again and rest through 20 different key strokes because you only have 5 spell sots and it may take 20 casts to heal your party up.
Well, there's a lot of moving pieces in an MMO and many of them haven't evolved for shit in a decade and a half. Threat table based enemy AI is fucking stale. Hotbar combat is fucking stale, at it's core, but games like Blade & Soul can do well with it. They're the fucking exceptions to the rule, though. Kill X/fetch X/fedex quests are so stale they'd be fucking mummies if they were NPCs and everyone still feels comfortable adding that shit to their games, again there's a quest writing exception in Elder Scrolls online. Because there are so many moving parts, ESO and B&S each got one thing right and then failed in five other areas.
The short answer is devs use tired old game design tropes when they should be putting more resources into systems like enemy behavior, because people keep buying and playing games with the same old bullshit.
Luis Miller
Programmers also have it shit, their first 6 months are unpaid
Tyler Garcia
Can't forget Runescape in the quest department. Actually feels like you're doing something. But people want rewards all the time, and there's a certain amount of blame to also be put on the players for supporting this shit.
Nicholas Jenkins
I'm conflicted here >Those hands >That overly shiny skin against >Those hips >Dat ass Not sure if should be disgusted or horny
Kevin Sullivan
Can we please get an mmo with a political system and military ranks? I want some fucking delegation in my games. I want guards hired to protect these politicians and bounties on their heads, greed and corruption. What is so hard about that? I want to collect boar asses for my favorite candidate and fight pvp battles with the opposing side. Please in my life time, please make this a reality.
Lincoln Morgan
why not both?
Jaxson Murphy
Real talk, Runescape has the absolute best questing of any MMO. No matter which one it is they all feel like real quests and they're all fun as fuck with cool rewards. Even if you can't use the rewards due to outgearing them you still get unique items, spells or access to new areas and abilities. It's all so good and it's a shame such a good system is tied to such a mediocre game.
Andrew Walker
EVE would be the best thing for you right now then. If a modern MMO would be made with that sort of thing I guarantee it would not work out how you'd like it to.
I'll be honest, in recent years Runescape's become a better singleplayer RPG than most fantasy themed RPG's I know of. Granted, I still don't like a lot of decisions they make to keep the game alive, but I guess that's a sad reality of why MMO's are somewhat crappy.
Kevin Bennett
>Move to a state with a large state school with reasonable ~5k per semester in-state tuition >talk to admissions, tell them you plan on working and saving for school, find out if they would accept you if you applied now and what you can do in community college to get to that point if it's close >there are 50 states, these big schools have upwards of 50k undergrads, there is a place for you >work like a dog while living in a shared house >cook for yourself >no stupid phone plans and smart phones, a flip phone is what you need because you only need it for your employers >don't fucking buy bullshit like starbucks coffee >don't buy fast food for lunch >your lunch is a pb&j and some pieces of fruit and raw vegetables >get /fit/ while doing this because why not? >quit drugs (this is important later) >keep working like a dog >get cheap hobbies you enjoy that have high learning curves, i.e. drawfagging, pawn shop guitar, vidya backlog (if you ration your time on this one, you'll be tired and will need sleep) >do this for two or three years and be shocked by the money you've saved >enter school >chem and bio undergrad or program designed to get you into pharma D >schoolwork is your priority now, but you will still have to work >yours is not the college life of partying and blowing studies off, deal with it >get bachelors >pharma D program >keep at it >be pharmacist (this is why no drugs) I'm not even joking, user. You can live off of minimum wage while saving mad geldt if you work 80 hours a week and DON'T consume like you're not on minmum wage. You come out of 8 years of school and practicum (less depending on what you did at community college) and you are looking at starting wages of 115k and you get to live wherever the fuck you want to. You can do this, the other guy can do this. Anyone can do this. It takes discipline, but it is reachable. I don't care how old you are either. Are you 40? Go back to school, young man.
Gabriel Kelly
>New World is a massively multiplayer, open-ended sandbox game that allows you to carve your own destiny with other players in a living, hostile, cursed land. >How you play, what you do, and whom you work with or against is up to you. >Live on your own amidst the supernatural terrors or join with others to build thriving civilizations. >In this evolving world that transforms with the changing of the seasons, weather, and time of day, the only limit is your own ambition. >A release date for New World has not been set.
Fuck this sounds ambitious as hell.
Why can't MMOs start simple to test things out with players and build from there?
Isaiah Jackson
Nah EVE is garbage space bullshit
James Price
You dont understand you could be traveling to 18 quadrillion different worlds
Juan Scott
I guess the only one that's coming out is Chronicles of Elyria, but I'm very skeptical of that one. Way too ambitious.
Landon Lee
>Why can't MMOs start simple to test things out with players and build from there Nobody wants to be CCP and make EVE, clutching on tight to your initial fanbase and growing the game together with them by putting your profits back into the game. Everybody wants to be Blizzard, because they're literally retarded when it comes to expectations. I think you're kind of forced into sandbox with the ccp business model, but I don't think that's awful.
Anthony Edwards
Because simple doesn't lure people in, irrelevant of quality. Ambitious, extreme, absurd, seemingly impossible, and literally impossible draw people in. They want exciting, amazing, wow! And they'll slog through terrible grinds and sometimes paywalls for that excitement.
Most people don't care about a job well done, they just want big numbers, flashy effects, and a "You win!" sign at the end, even if they fail.
Samuel Reed
Oh is that the one where they promised in-game dungeon masters that create tailored quests for you and shit? There's no way that's gonna be a thing
Nathaniel Torres
Sounds like Wurm but with actual graphics and quite possibly less grind but with microtransactions.
I'm hype already, I don't think any company the size of Amazon has ever made an MMO or an actual game for that matter.
Tyler Anderson
Eve isn't good.
Lincoln Morgan
How in the fuck can you say you're hyped for a game you have MAYBE one minute of info about? How?
Yeah, I think they also said player government as well.
Bentley Smith
Is this another one of those "YOU CAN DO ANYTHING" games?
Owen Price
Remember that time when someone made lofty promises with great amounts of scope and then made good in their promises? Of course you don't because it's never happened and there's no reason to think it ever will. I would be overjoyed to have them prove me wrong, but they won't.
Jaxson Roberts
Any source to back that up? They must be getting the shittest programmers in the industry if that's the case because I would never do that considering my job and perks I currently have.
Julian Morris
NMS proves you wrong
Michael King
Because it's being made by a company that has over $100 billion in revenues that is known for disrupting markets. Maybe hyped was an overstatement but I'm definitely excited to see what they can do with all the resources they have.
Nathaniel Rodriguez
That's some shaky evidence to be basing your excitement on, but whatever. I still don't know enough to say whether the game will be good or not and a company's revenue isn't really a good indicator when a majority of it is in an entirely different business of online market.
Blake Cook
Precisely why it needs to be good, they don't have a reputation in the video game industry and if they want to create one they need to make something good that will get people talking. They probably learned this lesson when they tried to make a phone, it was shit so it didn't sell and they weren't able to enter the phone industry. And again other than the phone every product that Amazon makes is good and actually manage to offer something for everybody which is what I feel they want to do with this game. Look no further than their tablets, Cred Forums absolutely loves them because they are cheap and good, but they also appeal to normies who want a facebook machine.
Luke Rodriguez
>GameStop isn't like the 5th most valued company in the world though.
Landon Cruz
Why is this green text?
Jayden Walker
But again, your evidence isn't necessarily proving that it is going to be good. All you have are hopes based on tangential evidence. All I'm asking for is some skepticism from you. You gave one example of them failing in an established market, and one of them not. That's 50%. Not great odds.
Nathan Reyes
Why should I be skeptic? If the game turns out to be shit I'll just not play it and move on.
I followed No Man's Sky from announcement all the way to release, I think I saw every single interview Sean made. When it released it seemed like shit so I didn't buy it and moved on
Eli Evans
Star Citizen is a good example of a game with resources well above and beyond what the developers intended.
The more resources they have > the more content and features they want to implement > the longer it takes for this mmo to be released.
and the longer it takes for it to release means the more likely it is to become vaporware.
Michael Smith
I'm not really feeling comfortable with the whole colonizing North America angle of New World.
What were they thinking
Jack Mitchell
A lot of triple A games coming out recently aren't living up to the hype that people like you make for them. That's why I was a bit concerned. I suppose though if you didn't buy NMS after learning it was crap is alright so long as you didn't try and sell it to other people. I hope you understand where I'm coming from, especially knowing that Cred Forums is full of people paid to do this sort of thing.
Adam Price
While it certainly may turn out to be complete shit, it's pretty neat that a big studio is going to gamble on a sandbox mmo. This is what sandbox fags have been wanting for ages instead of indy early access garbage. It's way too early to shit on this and for once a project has MONEY and decent devs at the start. Again, who fucking knows and it could be horrible, but it sounds neat so far. If nothing else this could be a AAA answer to the boring themepark style mmos we've been stuck with.
Sebastian Kelly
>>don't feel bad about taking a break and keeping sub running this is why I've never played an MMO before
Grayson Moore
Be easier just to join the military. But sure user, flip burgers 80 hours a week while going to school.
Elijah Butler
Oh shit this must be why they kept poaching gw2 staff.
Ian Morris
Which begs the question as to why. Because GW2 was dogshit
Ryan Bennett
...
Zachary Evans
Who cares if it was shit. Did it turn a substantial profit? If yes, then there's your answer.
Jordan Cox
But gw2 is a success and lots of people still play it.
Elijah Flores
...
Tyler Carter
Legion is such utter garbage, i'll play it t b h If there was ever a good time to try and take the crown from WoW, it's now
Jason Brown
>cartoony DROPPED
Blake Sanders
hes still not done spreading his tainted smile to the world huh?
Ethan Taylor
>I'm not even joking, user. Wonderful to know you no know nothing useless fucks are getting replaced by robots in 5 years. Fucking useless morons.
Levi Myers
...
Christian Watson
While I agree with this generally, when it comes to mmos a return to sandbox is perhaps the last thing that could revive the genre. We've not had anything great since pre-cu SWG and EVE is still a brilliant game, albeit very niche.
Austin Howard
This is what I was thinking. I'm not super excited since the description is just "You can do ANYTHING with your favorite twitch streamers!", but with a budget from Amazon I would guess that it's going to be better than the Korean cash grabs that have been thrown at us.
Asher Cruz
No. You flip the burgers while saving up for the college which only charges 10k a year in tuition because you're in state. You'd have to work under 40 hours once you start school.
>robot pharmacists You are not a smart man, user.
Cooper Adams
you are now aware that this is literally the reason why their seattle branch for years has been hiring hundreds of "game programmers" from india
Nicholas Gomez
>"competitve" multiplayer e-sports bait with an expanding roster of playable heroes and heavy emphasis on live streaming >overly ambitious "you can do anything" MMO with "emergent gameplay" and heavy emphasis on live streaming >hunger-games style multiplayer survival deathmatch with heavy emphasis on live streaming
They looked at what PC players are willing to spend money on, snatched up resources and made their own versions of what's out there, and then tacked Twitch integration onto each one. This is the biggest, most shameless cashgrab I have ever seen and people are going to eat it right up.
Nathan Walker
wealthyandmarriedtoyoungblackchick.png
Kayden Walker
you guys sperg out about it being a bad game but amazon will probably nail all of their IP's and all of you will weeb out about it either way
Luke Powell
So New World won't compete with WoW or FF14, its competing with Ark and Rust? It sounds more like survival+base building games than MMOs
Might have bigger servers but the game would run like total shit for 95% of players just like Rust and Ark
David Nguyen
I've seen worse attempts at a cash grab after Star Citizen's success.
It failed tremendously though.
Jordan Gutierrez
This is much bigger, though. Three games at once with all of Amazon's assets behind them are going to have a much bigger impact than a single startup project by some literally whos.
Samuel Green
>Real talk, Runescape has the absolute best questing of any MMO. No, it doesn't. DDO has the best questing. Each quest is a mini-adventure in its own comfy dungeon filled with puzzles and traps, that requires a balanced party to finish on the hardest difficulty.
Logan Jenkins
Do they always have to show a nigger to present their games?
Tyler Baker
Is that shit in english yet or do I still have to try my best at guessing moonrunes
Matthew Brooks
DDO = Dungeons&Dragons Online, not Dragon's Dogma, kek.
James Price
So this is the game those guys from double helix were working on all these years.
Colton Diaz
well I feel silly now. Never mind then.
Evan Ortiz
...
Angel White
Kek.
Gabriel Rodriguez
Sorry you can't make it past the casual filter that is EVE ONLINE, bitch.
Luke Ross
>work 80 hours like that isn't fucking ridiculous to have to work that many hours a week just to get a degree >like that isn't fucking ridiculous to have to work that many hours a week just to become a pharmacist >Anyone can do this. It takes discipline, but it is reachable. Spotted the slave-driver. Go back to your pyramids.
Grayson Morris
damn didnt notice, havent slept for 24 hours
Ryan Barnes
name me a sandbox mmo that's successful
Camden Richardson
This will either be in development hell forever or be utterly disappointing.
The MMO genre is fucked.
Hudson Rogers
> DDO has the best questing Yeah, the first few times. I quit after launch because all you did was endlessly repeat the same quests until you moved to a new area where you had to endlessly repeat the same quests.
I'm not saying the modules were bad because they really are the best questing. I am saying that they did not match the game. As good as they are, they don't stand up to what is required of them.
Enemy behavior was fucking sweet though. Having to keep a proper formation so the mobs didn't bypass the tank and run straight for the squishies kept me diamonds
Thomas King
The whole point we started with was minimum wage wasn't enough to live on, user. Now you want it to magically allow you to save up enough to start school after three years without working your ass off?
Gabriel Parker
i'd trust amazon to deliver more than anyone else
Liam Johnson
Wait. I can play as a spaniard?
It better have rape mechanics.
Anthony Martinez
Tell me that to my good side and see what happens cowardly pirate. I'll take all of your "royal" "fleet" with some indians and spaniards.
Levi Lopez
so this is why they built lumberyard
interesting
Sebastian Gonzalez
working your ass off? Not to sound like a nigger, but working 12 hours a day 7 days a week. or 16 hours 5 days a week, shouldn't even be a fucking thing. Hell, that's nearly Chinese sweatshop level. An education shouldn't be so god damn hard to get all of a sudden.
Tyler Rogers
...
Levi Nguyen
The funny part is I'm directing you to go to a big state school on cheap instate tuition. UT in Austin is 5k a semester in-state and 17k out of state. It's not possible out of state. Yes, user. I'd be easier if your folks paid for school for eight years. The whole point of what I wrote was in response to user's comment on having no college and working shit jobs. I'll let you in on a little secret though, If becoming a pharmacist were easy, you wouldn't get paid 115k a yr in your first job out of school
Liam Martin
...
Eli Evans
EVE online did well enough to allow CCP to throw a bunch of money into a big pile shaped like a complicated shooter for a console at the end of its lifespan in a market where CoD ruled as well as a failed second MMO directed by a complete and utter moron and then set it on fire. The first part is pretty successful.
Brandon Murphy
>sandbox MMO with an actually decent budget
Will I finally have a reason to move on from playing private servers of old sandbox MMOs?
Logan Walker
Amazon has their own game engine based on CryEngine as well. Amazon Lumberyard, it's free
Carter Miller
>free high-end game engine >no subscription fees >no requirement to share revenue
why aren't more people talking about it?
Ian Bennett
it's a buggy piece of shit, for now anyway
Isaiah Lewis
Is it because nobody talks about Amazon in reference to games beyond buying them there if sale?
Ian Reyes
Because when it was released everyone knew it was an old CryTek engine and nobody wants to use old engines when newer stuff came out.
Grayson Cox
>free >License: Proprietary It ain't free, it ain't free, it ain't no libre software, son
Kevin Cruz
so this is why they recruited all those guys from arena net?
Cooper Ross
I like the idea, games like Wurm and Haven and Hearth are fun but not really backed by a large budget.
The problem here is streaming, you can't stream a game like that unless it's entirely PVE or it's going to basically be a shitshow of the streamer getting attacked constantly. You can't even stream games like Rust without it being stupid as fuck.
Xavier Robinson
>no playable asian grills
pass
Asher Hill
(((YOU CAN TAKE OFF))) (((THEN YOU CAN LAND))) (((THEN YOU CAN TAKE OFF AGAIN)))
Daniel Davis
>sandbox MMO >most likely pvp one >most likely with humans only Sounds like a big fail already. Unless they are fine with developing this game for total population less than one wow server, lol.
Cooper Watson
humans only are fine. you can have race, factions, groups or nations.
Nicholas Ross
>open-ended sandbox game >rich social features – including deep Twitch integration Are they trying to beat some flop record?
Jordan Jackson
Its 2016 now, not 2005. I can remember only TSW being moderately successful with humans only.
Andrew Ortiz
I SWUNG A SWORD I SWUNG A SWORD AGAIN
never again
Lucas Jenkins
>sandbox MMO >most likely pvp one >most likely with humans only imagine soulsborne in a horrific version of new world colonization
