I played the demo for the first one today, is it worth getting?

Just get 2. It replaces 1 in the timeline and does literally everything 10x better

I played the first one, but never finished it because I kept doing shitty fetch quests and got burnt out.
I didn't HATE the game, but I didn't really get too big of a kick out of it.
Will I REALLY like the second game? Does it feel different enought from the first game? I played the new demo and it just feels like the same game.

It spends about 5 minutes similar to 1, since it's the same game, timeline wise, but the it opens up into this big light world/dark world you can explore

There is also more variety in quests, but fetch quests are still present

Is the game more fun than the demo? I spent some time exploring around town and even beat the secret boss but I'm still not sure if the combat is any fun. There are 2 combat modes but they're exactly the same except for a poke button? Poking didn't seem to do anything in the demo.
Are all the monsters unique or do they evolve like pokemon? The mushroom tongue thing was super cute and I like banchou lizard a lot too.

FS is coming in the mail tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it, I enjoyed the first well enough.

The dub theme song is trash though. Wish they just dubbed the JP theme like the IE games did.

You basically get the general of the combat itself, but Bosses tend to have more management required and most depth comes from setting up your team.

Yo-Kai can evolve, but only once, and they can fuse with other Yo-Kai as well.

Still on the fence about these games. I like the character designs and I think I'll enjoy the exploration, but the battles don't seem very satisfying. I've been enjoying Wibble Wobble though; it's okay, as far as mobile games go.

The IGN guy stated that 2 brought inspiriting as a new mechanic, which was already central to the series in the game and anime before that. Take that as what you will.
