10 years ago, Cred Forums was filled with people born in the early mid 80s who grew up with the 4th generation of gaming, TMNT, Biker mice from mars, pogs, Power Rangers, the good years of Sonic, etc. and have good taste.

But now, man, it just sucks. It's filled with kids born in the late 80s/early 90s who think N64 (the console that caused Nintendo's decline in the first place), faggy Pokemon, Spongebob, Linkin park, and Kingdom Hearts were just teh awesomest nostalgia things evar omg!!, and can't name a single Genesis game other than Sonic.

What happened?

I thought it was always like this.

You're getting old.

10 years ago, Cred Forums was filled with people born in the early mid 80s

And we were all in our early 20s and we were as dumb as the idiot kids that populate this board now

Take me for instance. I'm not even disciplined enough to leave.

I feel the same way man. It really pisses me off when people jerk off to Kingdom Hearts. Dealing with Disney pretty much ruined square and its rare for them to release a decent game these days. Once they learned all they had to do was shove some FF characters into their Disney sing along game they realized they could do pretty much anything they wanted because the fanboys were so rabid they would buy anything.

>What happened?
It's something called time.
What did you expect?

Shut the fuck up about pogs

Agreed, its kinda sad seeing how Halo or Gears threads arent shitposted to death.

...

10 years ago Cred Forums was filled with people from the early to mid 90s, not the early to mid 80s. You're thinking of Usenet.

Cred Forums had a huge amount of underage users even back in 2006, something you can easily notice with the memes and general way of talking.

people age?
you're always free to start threads about your favorite shit, you know

>90s who think N64 (the console that caused Nintendo's decline in the first place

I was born in 1986 and I had a NES and a SNES. The console was great. It was their stupid egothat scared away developers. Remember how Nintendo literally said they didn't need RPGs?

But I agree with you at some point. Kids whose first Zelda was WW is the cancer that is killing games, and it will get worse for kids who had 3D world or NSMB as their first Mario

Don't fucking kid yourself pal. This board was full of the people you hate the moment it was made

do you honestly think that everyone who visits this site is 18+?

Moot wasn't even 18 when he made the fucking site.

14 year old Jimmy lies when he clicks "Yes I am 18" on porn sites, why would he treat this place any different?

Also buddy, original TMNT is shit and the 2003 series is better than it in literally every possible way,

Also MMPR isn't the best power rangers unless you're a faggot.

Time literally happened. You think Cred Forums was going to stay the same forever?

>What happened?
Abacab happened
They was shit from then on

>It's filled with kids born in the late 80s/early 90s who... can't name a single Genesis game other than Sonic.
You're going to love this, trust me.
What you're seeing now is my normal state.

well buddy people grew up and moved on with their life, Me on the other hand. I had fun in my 20s and now at 33 i feel like an 80 year old with no friends and way too much time in Cred Forums.

Heh at least im not married to and hate every single one of my exs.

I feel the same way towards RE 4. For me it was the beginning of the end for the franchise.

THIS is a super Saiyan...

And This...
THIS is what is known as a super saiyan that has ascended past a super saiyan
Or you could just call this a super saiyan 2.

Just wait.

And this...
Is to go even...
FURTHER... BEYOND....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

N64 is one of the worst video games of all time, only losing to 3DO, atari jaguar and CD-I

born in 79

gaming went to shit after the PS2
and i fucking love kingdom hearts. but sadly the magic kinda died after the first one. still looking forward to III though

agreed Original TMNT WAS shit. man fuck those sewer levels

nothing beats the arcade version though

>tfw mid-90s
>no one my age to talk about DOS games with

grew up on dos and megadrive
it's fucking sad to see games even 15 years old dismissed because they are "too old" or "look like shit"

And the shitposting was tolerable

I still maintain that In Space was the best PR because it was made to be the epic conclusion of everything that came before..

Kids these days.

Kids these days.

>it's fucking sad to see games even 15 years old dismissed because they are "too old" or "look like shit"
I hate that shit. It's a video game, as long as it's fun who gives a shit about the graphics?

time keeps on slippin slippin slippin

into the fuuuutuuuuuuuuuuuuure

You made it but I'm a few years not too far from you but I'm jaded as hell.

Living feels like literally nothing that you loved as a kid has little to no value anymore.

That's because it doesn't.

0/10

>Spongebob
87 here, fuck you SpongeBob is pure kino

When you begin to learn how marketing caters to a demographic and realize they discarded what made certain things great for more money that's when it hits me the hardest. I keep coming back to that realization and haven't moved passed it.

>faggy Pokemon
Born in '84.
Pokemon was/is the shit. Fuck outta here.

>Member Comix Zone?
>I member!
>Oh, and member the grunge CD that came with it?
>Yeah, I member!
youtube.com/watch?v=UPy8VMfp8aQ

I'll talk about DOS games, man. My first gaming memory was some EGA Fisher Price game where you were a fireman. I also distinctly remember playing Commander Keen I for the first time, largely because the floppy drive kept failing during install and it took forever to play that cool game I saw on the shareware box cover.

I still have a boxed copy of Alone in the Dark 1 and 3, The 7th Guest, and the CD-ROM versions of One Must Fall and King's Quest V and VI. Lost my copy of Phantasmagoria somewhere but I had that too.

I completely forgot about that. Completely. Pretty sure it got thrown away within a day or two since I didn't need it for the game. Loved manuals though- thank god I held on to all of those.

>It's filled with kids born in the late 90s/early 00s

FTFY

Comix Zone was a fuckin' bitchin' game. Shame it ended on a teaser ending and it never got a follow-up, but maybe it's best it didn't get ruined by sequels.

Mew (FUCK YOUR ARCEUS NEWPOKEGENNERS) damn, those were the days....Now japanese games are trying to place genders in unrealistic roles....further degeneratinf societyy......uuuuuuhghgggggghhhh just looking at the bpxart in my pic just makes me......GNDRAHDNR
*flips table*
*pukes*
*cries to sleep*

'nother '84 here.
Tried the original games at the time but didn't really see what the big fuzz was about compared to other JRPGs, and when the cartoon and the card game came a-rolling I felt I was a bit too old for them preferred to watch Digimon with siblings, better animation and more interesting designs.

Altered Beast kinda sucks, should have posted Streets of Rage 3.

Your opinion on Gunstar Heroes

just learned there was a Game Gear Version.

I was here 10 years ago and born in the early 80s and I'm still on this shitty board. I doiss old v even though there isn't a huge difference...there still is one though.

>Streets of Rage 3
Bare Knuckle III or a romhack fix of 3 might justify that.
But I would have switched gears and said M.U.S.H.A. Aleste, Alien Soldier or Shinobi 3.

I was browsing here in 2006 and I'm 24 now, it's always been filled with fags.

Shining 3 is my jam. Go with that

Great game, best played in Co-Op.
Almost Treasure's magnum opus on the system, but Alien Soldier claims that honor.
Dynamite Headdy is also pretty great, and McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure has the best burger music.
youtube.com/watch?v=qSjSKOSZprw

Yes, people get older, more people are born, and you're a miserable sack of shit that some kid grew up playing games in the 2000s instead of the 1990s. You're a real life winner, you know that man? No one plays your shitty power ranger or sonic games, instead they played kingdom hearts while listening to linkin park and started sonic with sonic heroes or sonic unleashed. And this triggers you so. Just kill yourself my man, its the best ending for you.

I'm from the second group and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that Vektorman is the greatest megadrive game.

I would if I wasn't busy nostalging over Phantasy Star IV.

That's not even the best song in that game.
youtube.com/watch?v=1oT4Eh9aM-o
Treasure was such a great company.

>muh "I'm a 90s kid"
like, I grew up with all that shit too, but you sound like a bitter old man who fucking hates everything

>and can't name a single Genesis game other than Sonic
this shit bugs the fuck out of me though
it's not wholly unreasonable, since Sega thoroughly managed to ruin their own name, but there was a time when they were fucking ace and people seem to want to retroactively believe otherwise

the GG version is surprisingly impressive, if not essential playing

Man, the MUSHA pilot is so ridiculously cute on the box.

>before: faggots nostalgic about nothing, but it happened to be the same shit were nostalgic about
>now: faggots nostalgic about nothing, but it's not the same shit we're nostalgic about

what the fuck is the difference? grow up or get out

Is this bait? Us late 80s oldfags are close to our thirties and even the early 90s shitstains are so old at this point that he vast majority have stopped browsing this site. Reminder that most people here had PSX and even PS2 as their first console.

Generation Z have completely destroyed not just this website, but everything about the internet.

Nice, I don't have any of the boxes they came in now, definitely one of my regrets. Only played the first Alone in the Dark, but it was good, and I had King's Quest I-V but somehow all except II got lost when we moved 10 years ago. Master of Orion is still my shit, and every once in a while I'll play Space Quest IV. Remember I "borrowed" my dad's Leisure Suit Larry games sometimes, was pretty great.

So what's everyone's favorite PS2 game? Mines Shinobi. The fucking scarf physics make this game.

Anyone watch American pie lately? Watched it the other day and I realized how old I really am.

Altered Beast gave me my transformation fetish
also muscle gain
it also made me kinda gay

>tumblr taught me to be inspired
