Dragon Quest VII

Because I can't seem to find a thread on it.

How goes the game guys? I'm 60 hours in. There a way to rig gambling? Can't seem to win worth a shit.

Lucky panel is easy as fuck if you use the program to keep track of your cards

>There a way to rig gambling?

Just savescum. Every time you gain 1-2k more tokens, save. Then repeat. Once you get up over 20k, then just save every time you make 5-10k profit.

Anyone know if you can learn Animal Magnetism from any monster job? I've reached the point where Scorch isn't very good anymore and I want to switch Ruff to a Champion or Hero now but I still want to have access to Animal Magnetism

Just started, when can I ditch mirabel ?

jawtoise constantly spinning looks weird as fuck

I have just beaten the dark genie near the birdmen settlement, is there any way to get goodybag or mimic hearts anytime soon?

You can get mimic hearts at the present pilgrim's rest casino by playing lucky panel

Really? Shit, then I must be quite unlucky, because I did play it for some time and won about half of games, but never came across a mimic heart. I guess I'll have to try some more.
What about goodybags?

Mind sharing the program mate?

Anyone have tips for beating the first superboss fast? I won on my first try but it took 24 turns, I need to shave that down quite a bit if I'm going to unlock the next dungeon

Right now I'm working on getting everyone to around level 50 and switching Ruff from a Monster Masher to either Champion or Hero, so my party will be Hero, Champion, Champion/Hero, and Druid, and everyone already has the best gear you can buy from the Seadragon

Anything else I should do outside of the painful shit like winning casino gear and grinding for plat king?

If I delete a bunch of tablets, does that regress my Haven? Like I'm getting low on space from grabbing the dlc tablets, and want to delete some of the shitty ones I've gotten from the hide-and-seek people. Would it set me back, or do they stay in the town?

>Monster Taming (unsure if this actually has an official post DQ4 DS name at this point or not) - learned by Monster Tamer; never able to be carried over

Where is the whirlpool in the present? There's two fragments in there.

Southwest of that island's fishing village.

Guys, what exactly am I supposed to do after I landed on the Haven?
I found the first "villager" slime dude and finished his table dungeon, but what now?
Am I supposed to find more of these guys or whats goin on?

It's sort of a sidequest type thing, you'll occasionally be able to find more villagers and expand its functionality throughout the course of the game

Someone please help me. Doing the Melvin quest and the guy told me he sold the hot stone to some rich guy. He said he is in a town full of painters. I have no clue what town he is talking about please help

Some of the icons aren't there. Did they change some for the english version?

Do you remember the town where you have to go inside a painting?

Okay.. there is supposed to be a fragment on Haven tho. Will Carey give that one to me later?

...

I thought of that but I thought only that one guy was a painter, the guy made it sound like everyone as a painter. Thanks for the tip tho

That town has a house that's owned by the rich man. If you talk to the maids/people in his house, you'll find that he has two other houses. Go around these 3 houses until you find him.

Look harder, it's sitting on the ground, but it's a green one and blends into the grass, I missed that one at first too

I've noticed that stuff like "Slime Heart" sells for quite a good price at the start.
Do I need that shit for anything else later or is it safe to sell?

Can you level professions by chain killing low levels in the tablet?

You have to use the dropdown menu to select which casino you're in

You can just use Excel if you're that inclined. The real difficult part is either exposing the shuffle card in the initial six flips or somehow avoiding it if you couldn't find it
