What essential cyberpunk games would Cred Forums recommend?

Which was the better version of shadowrun? I played it on snes as a kid but got stuck on the part where some guy implants a bomb in you. felt like replaying it but I know there's a sega version too

if it wasnt shit i'd recommend paradise cracked, bought it in a bargain bin at a software etc. decades ago and was too lazy at the time to figure it out. i'd eventually lost one of the install cds and could never play it again til recently when a free dl of it was made available online. i played it for a few days and enjoyed the setting, listening to vaporwave music but it's honestly tedious and when u figure out u can level hacker's strength exclusively, give him a burst pistol and kill/ walk away from everything in the game its a bore aswell. kinda fun in a "i bet i can cheese the rpg elements" way that nobody wants to allow in videogames these days

That said, though, System Shock still really isn't cyberpunk.

Omikron Nomad Soul, since no one else has mentioned it. It's deeply flawed - tries to be too many things, ends up failing at all of them. Really neat though. And it has David Bowie doing the soundtrack, and also in-game.

Tried playing it last year, just felt lackluster as fuck and tank controls didn't help it either.
Way too clunky to immerse yourself and enjoy, alas.

Are there any mods that make Deus Ex more cyberpunk?

It's all in the setting (Alex Jacobson just exudes cyberpunk, there's literally an AI that provides information for people when queried in exchange for information it doesn't already know, the extreme divide between the aristocracy and the poor, the strong leaning towards anarchism and socialism [anarchist ending has the most hopeful quote, the socialist country is the only one that's not a complete dystopian hellhole and is relatively normal], and of course augmentations), but the game itself is not quite cyberpunk.
