Who is getting one of these bad boys?

Other questions:

Where the fuck can I order one already or are they already sold out to scalpers for the next 6 months?

What would be the best option to import the Famicom?

NES just does nothing for me. I was born in '89 and didn't like any of the games even when I was a kid.

why woudl you want one

the games included are trash. nowhere near representative of the best on the system

you can download an emulator onto an android phone and a pack of every NES game which is like fucking 100mb or something riduclously small like that.

it's nostalgia for people who aren't there and wish they were. fake nostalgia effectively.

i was there during NES and i'm telling you to avoid this thing like the plague because the game selection is trash.

Yet I want one. I have my reasons but I'm just waiting for people to come along who already know this thing is cool as shit and want to talk about it.

Just emulate. It's the same thing as an NES classic edition and you aren't limited to 30 games.

i hate answers like this
you're fucking gay
he didn't ask your opinion or whether he should buy one, he asked where can he get one and how to import a famicom version. he didn't ask for your faggy opinion on emulation.

Plug and play and the controllers almost make it worth it though. If this was a SNES with 30 of the best games I'd buy it.

No, faggot. It's not nearly the same thing.

What are you like 18? When your brain finishes developing and you're not stuck in your child logic-loops you'll understand that you're comparing apples and oranges.

What games does the Famicom one have

>2016
>Buying a plastic shell
>Buying an EMULATOR

What the fuck

Why would you post this shit when you just look like the previous retard coming back with a buttmad vengeance?

At least you made sure to use an image this time so nobody can tell you're a faggot.

Not that user, but how is it not nearly the same? You don't get to play on a cheap little plastic replica of a NES? You don't get to use the NES controller?

Shut the fuck up and go buy something else. I'm not interested in conversing with you about this. If you're lucky someone else will come along and educate you.

>i have autism

user, you seem angry. Have you thought of taking a break from the computer and going for a walk? :^)

All the retards on Cred Forums are ganging up on me now lol. You're an embarrassment.

I probably would get one but fucking dollar is too expensive and I ain't paying 1600-1800 Mexican pesos for this

Also emulation exists

>This is codename nx

I'm not a nintenbabby but isn't the NES shit? Why not the SNES, I thought that was the console all the dumb millennial hipsters cream themselves over?

If it were SNES, I'd probably consider it.

I already own an NES with the majority of the games but I will buy it just because it's one of the most non-shit things that Nintendo has done in over a decade.

I have one of these bad boys so I can emulate every NES and Famicom game I could want, and all of them that I don't want to emulate.

>Punch Out Feat Mr. Dream
>No Mike Tyson

Fuck you and fuck Nintendo? I am not supporting their revisionist history bullshit.

What's makes you say that user?

The main reason why you SHOULDN'T pick the Famicom over the NES.

Plus the controllers are wired on the Famicom so it's you're only option.

Don't know what to tell you bro. I love the lineup on this puppy.

I'd probably jack off if an SNES one was announced.

All of the game are extremely dated and nearly all of them have gotten remakes, sequels, or both that are far better than the originals. The best games in this box are Donkey Kong, Galaga, and Gradius.

What the fuck does the USB port in the back do?

Mil hipsters get wet for the N64 and Gen X late bloomers get moist for the SNES.

Being of the later I must say I'd rather have an NES mini over an SNES mini.

Hate to break it to you but they are wired on the NES too.

>you are only option
???

NES controller is a valid point.

Other than that.
If my son or me and bro wants to play:
>No need to fuck around with plugging PC to TV
>Can chill on bed instead right away
>No risk of son fucking something up on PC
Additionally, I'd personally end up abusing emulation functions and majority of people in general don't know wtf is emulation or are too lazy/can't be fucked to emulate shit.

Then again my PC is always plugged to my TV because I play shit games like ToS, but you get the main points: appeal to casual audience/ease of use/somewhat nostalgic.

PC is objectively the worst platform.

(you)

Wired as in: HARD WIRED to the console. They're not interchangable like the NES

I'm pretty sure it's for the power

They aren't "interchangeable" on the NES either because they use the Wii proprietary connector.

You can still unplug them and use them with the wii remote as if it were a classic controller. Likewise, you can plug any classic controller into the mini NES and use that if you wanted. The controllers made for the mini NES also aren't made for tiny baby hands like the mini famicom's.

I sure will.

>You can still unplug them and use them with the wii remote as if it were a classic controller.

[Citation Needed]

They've confirmed that the NES Mini has wireless abilities and can sync to a Wii remote? Asking seriously because I haven't seen it.

Yes they are.

You seem to not understand. You can unplug the controllers on the NES, you CAN'T on the Famicom.

So what are you going to interchange it with? The other controller that comes in the box?

nintendo.com/nes-classic
>The included NES Classic Controller can also be used with NES Virtual Console games on your Wii™ or Wii U™ console by connecting it to a Wii Remote™ controller.

The NES Mini controllers use the same connector used for Wii Remote accessories like the Classic Controller, which is why they aren't compatible with a real NES.

Presumably you can plug a Classic Controller into the NES Mini and use that.

Not me, considering how fucking tiny NES ROMs are only 30 games kinda sucks especially since there are quite a few obvious omissions. I will be getting a few of those controllers though for use with my softmodded Wii.

So it's the virtual console without the Wii part. Wow.

It's compatible with the Wii Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro. The same cannot be said about the Famicom

are you retarded? Its the wii jack so you can use classic controls. Besides the true benefit of the NES mini is that YOU CAN REPLACE A BROKEN CONTROLLER

So when you inevitably wear down the controller and it stops working you can just get a replacement controller rather than trashing the whole console. Why is Cred Forums so dense today?

is the famicom coming to the states? I guess I could import it but, is it?

my fucking penis though,

Is the cord length really that short? I was gonna get one but I can't play that close to my fuckin TV

...

I don't want a NES but that Famicom looks snazzy

>it doesn't have best game
Why even bother

Because that's 52 games.

Why would it. You could try specialist stores but you'd most likely be looking at an import.

My main beef is that it dosnt have the original Contra. Its got Super C which better sure but the original was so iconic.

I don't even see Super C on the list on their site, unless I'm blind.

>the controllers

the controller was one of the worst controllrs of all time, revolutionary sure but surpassed a million times over. you're literally retarded if you don't play these games with a modern controller

Nobecause i will make this with a bronken NES:
youtube.com/watch?v=8nuE8DDDd2o

its there bro. Also, i would have much rather had Castlevania 3, vs fucking Simons Quest.

Yes, we know user, you and the other thoundands of anons that has said the very same thing. We all know about that and we will still buy this thing.

I'd like to have one, but considering I can just play any of these games on my pc and can't just throw away my money I'll most likely pass. I like the idea, but not being able to add more games on it kind of sucks. I wonder if Nintendo will try to do this again with the SNES.

Nah, nothing my hacked Wii can't already do. You know what be cool though? If they did something similar with the OG Game Boy and added a backlit screen.

If it turns out being anything besides literally 30 games emulated (i.e. manuals, developer interviews, literally any of that shit you'd get on a PS2/Gamecube era compilation), I'm interested.

Shit, I'll probably still get one because my father would love having one. Some people just prefer having at least some sort of physical component. I know there's something different, in my mind, to playing an emulator vs. playing a first party emulator vs. playing the real thing. It's nonsense and probably just hipster bullshit but I''m not the only one who feels this way, I don't think.

A backlit OG gameboy or gameboy Colour with built in catalog of games AND a GBA slot would be fucking crazy to me.

lol I wonder what its like to be so delusional

Dude the japs got fucked with the games selection.

With that mindset, you have to go the furthest you can
CRT whining tv, original shitty cords, not being able to start the game 3~ times until you "blow in it"

Let me guess, an Atari fanboy that got fucked up his little cushy ass by Nintendo and had to go to Sega who also died.

Holy shit did that user trigger you. Keep calm and ignore shitposters, pal.

why the fuck did they include fucking castlevania 2 and not 3 instead...

Or the superior Castlevania 1.

There's some really solid games though.

Zelda 2, Mario 3, and a few others are essentials.

You can't have a true OG gameboy experience and GBA games, OG gameboy ain't got no fancy shoulder buttons.

Or its own light.

Are there exclusive games to each one?

That's not my point, you can backlit a GameBoy Classic Edition or whatever they'd call what they did to the NES but to the GB no problem, but adding in shoulder buttons on a classic GameBoy design would both ruin the design AND not be ergonomic at all. There's a reason the GBA was larger than it was long and the SP had all buttons on its bottom half: easier to reach the shoulder buttons. Adding an L and R button to an OG gameboy would be awkward as all hell.

Too close minded
Just make it a Gameboy shaped like the SP
no back light, give us the weird contrast thing

Not impressed with the game selection.

I know there are plenty of good reasons for the significant title omissions, but I'm ultimately not that interested.
