I played Widowmaker a lot when the game came out. Then she got nerfed to shit and I dropped her when I realized how many shitters use her.

I want to try using her again but I'm worried about being one of those shitters in the lobby.

alternatively, mei's ult is broken and is pretty much the only reason anyone picks her right now. It should either be smaller or ramp up the slow speed. Or be partially blockable by shields like reap ult.

i hate when people start shooting the arcades in hanamura makes my fps tank to 10 fps which is annoying as it gets a bit difficult to play

I really don't know what they can do to fix it at this point.

On the one hand, they have the game perfectly geared towards casuals. Allowing casuals to pick easy-to-play tanks who can insta-kill people is fun for that audience of players who are garbage at shooter games.

On the other hand, if they rightfully shifted all of the power away from tanks and rightfully made Offensive and Defensive heroes the only ones who should be killing people, then this would only benefit the hardcore players who are good at shooter games. Completely alienating those who like to play Roadhog and do insta-kill hooks.

But those characters operate so differently from Junkrat on a mechanical level. If someone was good with how Junkrat works but not those other characters, are they really still the better pick?

I just feel like the inherent differences between the characters makes comparing them directly against each other is a little more complicated than flat-out saying something like "Reaper is a better Junkrat than Junkrat is." That doesn't seem strange to you?

Blizzard has done a good job of making sure no characters overlap each other, but theres some characters that are just objectively better than others. Thats the way character-based games go.

Genji needs to be removed and Mei needs to be severely nerfed.

Tracer still needs a nerf, too. 240 dmg body shots and 480 dmg headshots per clip is fucking retarded. her hit box is also a pixel wide.

Literally the exact opposite of what the issue is. NO ONE in the game does any goddamn damage.
It's because of this design that your odds of winning a fight go down an insane degree when even one of your teammates die. The only way you can expect to 2v1 anyone competent is with an ult, so the game is a massive slog of doing nonexistent damage to each other until you get one.

Well, data miners found out a voice line of Symmetra talking about 10 teleports few days before Kaplan's statement about her incoming buff. In any case, she definitely is getting an overhaul soon.

i can complain about a lot of things but I certainly got my money's worth out of the game.

This is one oddity in the game too. I've played online games with few of my friends for about 10 years. We always get along well and love tacticool games aswell as something more casual. R6:siege has been our thing since it launched, Overwatch seemed like a nice change of pace to play ocasionally. Something nice and casual. But OW had us fucking arguing and getting pissed off all the time at eachother and that has NEVER happened in a game before. The game is so fucking frustrating to play anyways.

You dont need to aim with anyone in OW. Just point in the general direction and you'll hit. On consoles its even more hilarious. The level of autoaim makes the game literally play itself. Just go forward and press the trigger.

They released some shitskin too but as i said, they're literally recolors and only some are really good (D.VA korea/McCree America/Genji/Widow/Reinhardt eichenwalde skin..) and they added sitting emote and laughing emote, but it's useless considering you can only equip one.

They're so SLOW to release some damn good content. They had the fucking guts to release 8 skins that are just recolor for 8 character in the 22 character there are in game. They had those beautiful spray, that would have made AMAZING skins, but noooooo Blizzard had to give us some shitty recolors. Only good thing that came out of the summer update? The junkrat highlight intro. That is some good item.

I played on PC and everytime I played with widowmaker. I KNEW I never got a headshot when the game just said I did. I even recorded gameplay and the shots werent anywhere near the fucking head. In OW the dying behind corners bullshit is far more intense than in any other game simply because of the gargantuan hitboxes.
I never felt like I earned any of my headshots. Im a terrible shot in games generally, but in OW its a miracle if I somehow miss.

The game came out barely 5 months ago, calm down. This is not a fucking MOBA, 22 heroes is a really good number and a 23rd is likely coming very soon.

You mean the sniper that can barely one-shot Reaper with a headshot (and can't do this if Reaper has Symettra or Torb buffs), the DPS who can't one-shot Tracer in one headshot with his hitscan revolver, and the slow as fuck DPS with non-existent range?
The game is designed around these all-powerful ults to the point where any other kind of damage feels like shit. Ults work in a game like a MOBA because you can actually contribute and do shit while those are charging, rather than taking potshots at the enemy team and waiting patiently until someone on your team has one.

Zenyatta has the highest damage output of any support, and is more of a damage buff man than a healer. And, what do you know, he's out of meta right now because he only buffs the damage towards one enemy, instead of buffing the damage of the person using their win button.

It's quickplay, what do you expect? Most people play QP to warm up, in-between ranked or while waiting for a friend to come back.

Man it's a good thing I never have to play with people like you in Master.

I guess you don't recall those moments in TF2 where you're walking out in the open and then narrowly get behind a wall just to see your character go ragdoll while completely behind the wall as you died from a Sniper's headshot. And what about those instances where you're backpedaling away from an enemy Medic running toward you with his Ubersaw out and hits you from a seemingly ridiculous non-melee range away?

You just have to accept these quirks of online shooters where you can and will die based on where you were a fraction of a second ago and the devs can't do anything to help this. Just don't put yourself in these situations.

Genji has almost no counter because he can just dodge or reflect a McCree flashbang, and he can just run away from anyone else. He's a fucking cunt hero

Part of the problem with Overwatch is that its a casual game that doesnt facilitate casual play. It plays like a game you can just relax and jump onto for a little while, but you're at a severe disadvantage in any game mode if you're not in a party of 6 and in a designated comp. Even if you're in a 6-man party, theres no guarantee you'll win either.

There's no winning. The big problem just comes back around to the fact that no one wants to play the "bitch" roles like Tank and Healer, but most of them aren't good enough at Damage to be playing it.

I'm annoyed that Genji/Mercy isn't the most popular ship despite having the most background for it.

D.va can manage alright against Zarya, she can eat her M2 shots and her ultimate with her shield, the later being worthwhile enough to have her on the team. Between the two M1s, both deal enough damage to each other that if one is already weakened they're going to lose, otherwise D.va can run away with her dash if she's really in trouble.

Now Mei on the other hand, that's the one who really fucks D.va over.

The best course of action is to pick the most bread and butter comp at the beginning of the match and then shift your comp when you reveal the enemy team's.

McCree is my most picked hero aside from Lucio and Ana. I have 54% accuracy, 1436 gold medals out of 1521 and a 3.86 K/D ratio with McCree. I know what it's like lol.

that has nothing to do with tickrate, it's just the way they coded it
the game doesn't wait for server confirmation that you successfully did something when you press a button, it just animates you doing it instantly to give you the illusion of lagless gameplay
so if you press a button, your game shows the result but the server says you couldn't have done that because you were already dead/stunned so your game backpedals

You're missing the point. All roles are just as important as others in the grand scheme of things. Different situations may call for different and sometimes even unorthodox team compositions, but it's frustrating when commendations more often than not get distributed like it's TDM.

Whenever you aren't actively shooting someone's face in, always be chargin that burst shot to blow some poor nigga away.
You just need to be really active with him and pay attention mostly. He's fragile as fuck so you need to try not to get caught unaware. Hang with niggas like Mei and Reinhardt who can really watch your ass.

Then you should understand how braindead Lucio is compared to how difficult it is to play a dude who has to be accurate and take out every single enemy.
The only thing Lucio does is sometimes finish off low health dudes, heal/speed boost or ult when necessary, and push people to make sure someone can't leave a teamfight.
The wall running to contest a point is probably the only difficult thing he has to do.

I swear if we don't get this Mercy skin.

I played this game because of the whole TF2 left in my heart. I liked TF2 because while there were advantageous match ups, you could basically win most fights 1 v 1 if you were better than your opponent. Blizzard has done everything in there power to make it impossible to completely carry a game on your own. Terrible map design makes it almost impossible to get a clean 1 v 1 fight, ultimates can make you lose a fight if you just choose to fight someone at the wrong time, and there are too many hard counters that make certain matchups basically unwinnable 1 v 1.

Probably my favorite FPS of the past few years but after no-lifing it for 200 levels it's gotten a pretty stale. Haven't touched it for a few weeks now.

My biggest complaint is that the development cycle is pretty slow for a project so big. You'd think they'd churn out maps, heroes, or at least skins faster than they are, but no.

Roadhog's hook shouldn't pull around walls. I've been pulled in a fucking U-shape since his buff. If Roadhog hooks a person and they're close to or over a 90* angle around the wall or object then it should just do an extra 30 damage when it pulls them against the wall and detach the hook. It's a fucking instant kill on every class that isn't a tank, you don't need it to be lenient.

Bastion's playstyle should be changed significantly (like D.Va) or his minigun shouldn't be able to be reflected, at best Genji should just take no damage. Bastion is already a situational hero with a big hitbox and shit in 1v1. Genji just shuts him down too hard as is.

Ana should do less damage or have her damage tick at half the speed. She enables shitty snipers the same way the Cloak and Dagger enabled shitty spies in TF2.

Pharah's ult should either
>Allow her to slowly strafe in midair at a slightly faster speed than McCree's ult
>or become unable to be deflected
>or lose damage falloff (don't know if its actually falloff maybe just increase each rocket's explosion size so they don't become worthless at a distance)

Increase the damage of Winston's ult? Dunno if that would be too strong. Maybe from 40 damage to 50.

Symmetra isn't enough of a support and her teleporter is strong but can be shut down easily. Good thing they're changing her

Junkrat is the most misleading noobtrap in the game and I really wish he was removed. He ends up getting medals in damage all the time because of the amount of aoe damage he does and people will justify their usage of him based on that, even though a bad Junkrat ends up just spamming bombs while never getting the kill. All he ends up doing is feeding the enemy healer's ult (and sometimes Zarya's shield). His own ult is complete garbage and even takes him out of the game for a lengthy amount of time giving the other team time to push on the objective.

In the hands of an inexperienced player he is a damn detriment to your team and that's why I urge people not to use him.

The difference between first person animation and field animation is really annoying. You can be in the middle of ulting as Winston and still die because you haven't ulted yet from everyone else's perspective, while Mercy gets shit done as soon as the key is pressed.
