I don't remember much about playing 1 for the first time, but I only just started Untold 1 and I feel like the story reveals too much about the origins of Yggdrasil. It's not a big deal, but still takes away a bit of the mystery.

Grimoires in 2 were actually ok. 1's were ass but they weren't necessary unless you went full autism on the King Grimoires.
3 and 4 had pretty powerful abusable stuff too, namely 3's instakill summons/certain Zodiac spells and 4's subclassing shenanigans letting everyone have Blood Surge.
