Each character has a really one-dimensional character 'flaw' that guides their actions but it's done in such a way that you can easily go through the whole story without noticing and just assume "that's who they are" like any other character in fiction

What's more likely is that ubisoft doesn't hold the licensing for Scott pilgrim anymore.

I believe it has something to do with paying Ubisoft for support on a machine from last gen. They could always pull a remastered edition now in 4k glory but still, Scott Pilgrim is so 2010. As the writer of the book implied, the game has a bright future on PC since steamfriends would definitely buy it for 40% during the winter sales
