just get a fat PS2, network adaptor, an IDE drive and cable and freemcboot and your set. the best emulation is a native PS2 running iso. no need to change settings or have bugs or glitches that need to be patched.

there's texture packs that you put into the dolphin folder in your documents, then tick a setting that allows for custom textures, it's really easy

also remember to prefetch custom textures to not have any stuttering

I've seen some games that I probably would really like on the WiiU but I can't bring myself to buy it, since there's only like 3 or 4 games that I want on it. I barely even wanted a PS4, I'm just really excited for some of the games that are supposed to be coming out.

We don't even know how PCSX3 will eventually turn out. every emulation success story like Dolphin, there's been a shitshow like Saturn, N64 and Xbox emulation. It's still too early to know which category PCSX3 will be in.

Earlier in the day I was playing Superbeat Xonic on my Vita and finishing up Ni No Kuni on ps3.

Before bed I jumped on 3DS to play some 999 and work through my backlog DS.

Throughout October my PS4/Vita will be used for Dragonquest Builders, World Of Final Fantasy and Exist Arhcive, 2 jrpgs and a minecraft clone with a 60+ hour single player campaign

From both the software, marketing and hardware side of things they knew exactly what they were doing. Getting third parties on board the new CD technology was a big assignment in of itself even if at first they essentially told Sony to go fuck itself, they all came running back to Sony begging them to sign and publish software on their consoles when they realized it was going to take off big time.

Sony's first steps into the industry were really important and their execution was more or less flawless. Props have to be given to Nintendo for nuturing and essentially saving the industry during the time it took for Sony to prepare and then take over though

Ni No Kuni is a nice comfy rpg. The battle system isn't anything to write home about but it's actually alright, the story, artstyle, music, world building, pacing and characters are all very good.

I think it is but I'm invested in all facets of the platform.

You can get a pretty shitty PC and emulate PS2/GC games at full speed too though.

It would only look like a Pixar game rendered at a significantly higher resolution with a bunch more shaders like AO and IL, significantly better textures, no blurry fxaa, and everything on screen would have to be moving around with 10x more polygons.

It looks okay to excellent at times but it's not very impressive.

As a PC/PS3 owner the only thing I see in this thread is a bunch of poorfags. literally every PS3 game that you could ever want cost around 5 - 20 bucks and the console cost 100 bucks. The real benefit to this is whether of not it can on Online. Thus resurrecting the games with shutdown servers. If it can do that then this will be worth it.

Dark Souls engine was built from the ground up by From Software and isn't the same as the DeS one, please stop spouting this nonsense. Demon's Souls runs on an Sony Studio in-house engine and From Software would not be allowed to use it the way they did with DaS.

I still love the PS2 and it had a lot of great games, but most of the games that had Gamecube Versions and Xbox version looked much better than in PS2, some of those games even had ingame cinematics instead of FMV see Resident Evil 4.
I still recognize that even if PS2 had better games other consoles had the chance to make them look better.
