Lol what the fuck

My heart and actions are utterly unclouded.
They are those of Justice.

Where my /Kira boys/ at

ayy

Saviour of part 4 reporting in.

Is Kira autistic?

Is water wet?

P Much.
Does the anime make him much worse?

He was a mummies boy overly sheltered who got got a boner over an art book and doesn't understand fetishes. 100% on the special spectrum.

I really dislike how much I relate to Kira

>only 1 JJL player

Still mad. The manga is halfway done and popular in Japan.

It's painful user.
I nearly got hit by an ambulance yesterday too.
The autism is real

They both have terrible songs too. I like Joshuu though. Saying that, the Higashikata's all awkward stands and how do you make Yasuho's Paisley Park playable?

Sad there wasn't too much JJL stuff but eh.

I really like Joubin's design

>Yasuho's Paisley Park

Nah they could've used Kyo and her stand. That shit basically writes itself in terms of gameplay.

Giorno partnered with Mista

7 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 3 > 2 > 1

That's a given, user.
To be optimistic that they weren't being lazy, perhaps she might do something other than being an exposition dump.

Ur a fag

Why do people hate part 3 so much? I loved it.

Jotaro was a pretty awful main character and that really drags down the whole part. He's much better as a supporting character.

>5 that high

Good taste, have a Pucci.

part 3: season 2 is the pretty much the closest thing ever made to my ideal show.

it has style, charm, is interesting and fantastic and has a genuine feeling of 'adventure' and camaraderie. they feel like they are really a family, having this adventure of their lives, and they all know it. its like you get to share in their special moments with them.

its shallow, maybe, but in all the places i want it to be.

on the other hand, part 4s characters are nearly intolerable. josuke could have been a good, if more subtle character, but instead the series essentially makes the main character koichi, the most one dimensional and boring character ever created in the jojo series.

his voice is high and grating, the things he says are meaningless and predictable, he isnt smart, or strong, or cool, he is this girly faced small boy, who by all rights should be getting his ass kicked constantly, but he is araki's gohan. so he gets writer saved four times where he should have justly died, gets the most amount of stand fights, the strongest stand, and the only woman in the show wants his dick so much she goes insane. it feels so incredibly undeserved, and unwarranted. hes like the wesley crusher of jojos bizarre adventures, and every time i see him i want someone to punch him in the face.

in a broader sense, in 4, you feel no attachment between the characters. the only exception is josuke and okuyasu. no other characters feel like they belong with each other. it doesnt feel like a family. it feels like a bunch of strangers.

there is no adventure either, it just feels like a brief glimpse into random moments of their lives, like a sitcom that you know is going to just suddenly end. there will be no closure, because it has no point.

the only character i like in 4 is kira, because he wants everyone in this show to die as much as i do, i just wish he could have fucking killed koichi after slamming his head in the pavement a few more times, that fucking cock sucker.

please do not post gay priests in a hetero atheist thread

Gay Priest is always welcome

>destroying the universe so he can suck a dead vampire's dick

'no'

showfagging I can forgive. Shit taste I can't. How the hell you can call Koichi one dimensional then go on to praise fucking part 3 of all parts. Disgusting.

>Not wanting to give everyone peace of mind.
Who wouldn't want to suck DIO's stolen dick?

>in a broader sense, in 4, you feel no attachment between the characters. the only exception is josuke and okuyasu. no other characters feel like they belong with each other. it doesnt feel like a family. it feels like a bunch of strangers.

Typical animefag needs his brojos to feel safe. I recommend dropping JoJo now because aside from Part 3 and 5, there is no other part with a large group of characters that band together that you care about.

Hell, Part 7 is only 2 characters together where almost every other character is an enemy yet it manages to be easily the best part. Part 8's protag doesn't even have brojos (so far), he's mostly on his own.

7>4>2>3>6>5>1

The focus on a smaller set of characters in 7 was really refreshing and made me think of part 6's ending in a bit of a better light as it felt like Araki putting a lid on his older style.

It sucks that so many people are starting to hate Koichi now. And most of it is due to his voice in the anime, which I agree is pretty grating sometimes, but that shouldn't be the sole reason to hate a character. I fucking loved Koichi when I read the manga, his stand was one of the most unique ones up to that point and every time he got confident was hype as fuck. He also has some great character growth throughout the story. Fuck these showfags, Koichi is awesome.

What are some Jojos under the Empress/ The World tarot other than Dio?

How do I find a gf like Yukako?
She is literally perfect, but also not real.

Part 3 might have the most shallow and one note characters in the whole franchise user

>Jotaro: try really hard to act cool and badass all the time
>Joseph: ebin overreaction old guy
>polnareff: funny french dude's retarded antics repeatedly steals the focus, but it's ok because you're supposed to laugh at him
>kakyoin: literally who
>Avdol: he does fire stuff I guess
>iggy: rude farting dog

>P (art) 5
>awful dogshit

It's like pottery

Funny, when I read the manga I only ever liked Koichi when he felt confident, which I always felt should have been his default attitude after getting that way a couple of times, but he just goes back to being a wimp shortly after, that kinda killed the sense of growth in his character if we ignore his stand evolving.
I also think Araki accidentaly gave him a very punchable face in the manga

Girls like yukako do not exist. She's the perfect mixture of yandere and normal. Girls IRL are either full psycho or full normal. No in-between.

Okuyasu has the handicap of being a good guy stuck with a really fucking powerful bad guy stand.

hue what did hiro mean by this

Tarots are only in Part 3, I think you're looking for Persona.

is this the power of your stand「BAIT THE DUST」?

The only issue I take with Koichi is that range is a lot better stat than people give credit for and I think that a person using Act 2 to its fullest is better than Act 3. I'd have rather seen him get to use Act 2 more.

You have garbage taste dogg

switch persona 3 and 4, I haven't played 5 so I can't comment; for jojo you're right except part 5's only problem is that the only translations its gotten is bad; if you're a true nihonjin like me or if it ever gets a good translation it'll become a lot of people's favorites.

Jonathan is actually a deeper character than most of the part 3 cast.

Prove me wrong.

It's not entirely people's fault since Araki made a lot of the most OP stands in the series only have a range of 2-3m.

because the one dimension 3 has is greater than all the dimensions of part 4 combined.

jotaro is a character that is strong, intelligent, handsome, always confident, stays cool in every situation, and lives life by his own rules. he almost never loses a fight, and araki has stated several times that his stand is essentially the strongest stand ever created, aside from dios. he has one dimension: he is cool. all the fucking time.

josuke has more dimensions. he gets scared of strange trite things, but doesnt fear death any enemy, he is intelligent but highly emotional. he is kind and peacful, but is also incredibly violent. he is a stylish and shallow pretty boy, but actually only goes for girls he really loves. hes much closer to an actual human being in that he is full of conflicts and contradictions.

and thats great. except hes fucking boring. and his fights are fucking boring.

when you see jotaro on screen you know that some shit is going to happen. when you josuke on screen, you know hes going to act like a retard and talk about shoes or turtles for 30 minutes.

and koichi, jesus christ. he has the one dimensionality of jotaro, except that one dimension is: i'm a little bitch boy.

The middle 80% of that part is a total slog to get through I don't know how animeonlyfags got through it, with the manga you could at least read faster.

...

kakyoin, he's op af (As Fr*ck)

Because its hip to hate popular things

>death by glamor.gif

I choose Gappy.

He makes me happy.

>tfw Gappy won't get a happy ending

>knows what death by glamor is
>pretends to get mad to fit in

i dont even know what you mean by feeling safe. its about having some emotional context to a show to make you care about the characters. i thought 1 and 2 were ok, and 4 is at times ok, but the second season of 3 really blew me out of the water as something special.

maybe youre right, maybe i wont like the other series, but the amount of characters isnt what made it good. if its two character but they have some kind of chemistry, that would be good too.
its just in 4 no one has any chemistry at all. even 2 had ceaser and joseph.

i guess i dont give a fuck about dimensions. i just want interesting characters. having more dimensions does not automatically make better characters. just look at slice of life shit anime. that has plenty of dimensions and melodrama. its still boring garbage.

also you got some dimensions wrong:
polnareff was a womanizer french knight
kakyoin was a polite guy who was quietly really talented and intelligent but lonely
iggy was a tsundere dog for polnareff
avdol was a 'im indian!!!' guy

and jotaro didnt try to be a badass all the time. he is down to his core just a cool guy. theres never any evidence of him not being badass or cool in the show, so its not really trying. its just who he is.

>he is cool. all the fucking time.
Jotaro is an actual autist who doesn't know how to socialize or emote properly and fears being rejected so he tries to push everyone away, especially girls, and the few friends he does make he tries to impress with poorly timed and incredibly bad puns, often making the same joke twice because he's worried they didn't get it the first time.

>literally falling for araki's "try to make everything jotaro does look cool to appeal to kids" meme

Congratulations, you are the bottom of the barrel.

I'll take a fight where a character that isn't deviantart-tier tryhard actually having to figure out how to fight another stand using their own that's not stupid OP and be in actual danger than any more of part 3 jotaro "fights" (aka "there's literally no risk of him ever losing he just walks up slowly and oraoras just skip to the end so you can see the bad guy getting punched")

>what is google
as expected of one who posts moe trash

N-no, user. He just doesn't give much shit. He's meant to be like Dirty Harry

>Josuke
>Boring

if you aren't massively entertained by him constantly using paranormal superpowers for get rich quick schemes and mischevious shenanigans you're dead inside m8

This. Josuke is easily a top 3 JoJo.

>mfw burning down a famous mangaka's house because I wanted to scam him out of some money to buy new shoes

>tfw dead inside
>tfw you still think Josuke is great

"I'm only entertained if my invincible super cool flawless mc is effortlessly beating bad guys heads in"

or maybe he just doesnt give a fuck about girls and or friends because hes a complete individual who doesnt need other people to fill in parts of his life, because hes constantly going on adventures and doing whatever he wants.

it sounds like youre projecting onto him the autism stuff and that makes me sad for you.

and i dont even know what you mean about puns, unless you mean part 4 with the watch. part 4 jotaro is pretty shit but then a lot of part 4 is shit.

i agree. i think its much more entertaining to watch non professionals do things.

like when i watch a fight, i dont want boxers. i want the two people to be complete retards and just see, you know, what happens. because its realistic that way, with no one being op, and not 'deviant-art' whatever that even means.

its really not exciting though. theres nothing on the line or entertaining about it. he just a goofy haired retard that wants to buy shoes.

that is really not massively entertaining to me.

hol horse all day

Finally, a man with taste.

Except in a fighting match there's at least some pretense of the victor being challenged. Jotaro is literally invincible in part 3 and araki goes through no effort to hide it. In fact, if pure fighting is all you want, go watch that, because JJBA on the whole is not just about people punching each other.

It just gets so fucking balls to the wall crazy in the last third of the manga. That and Pucci is the second best villain only behind Valentine.

Pucci was shit. His entire motive was both vague (muh heaven) and unrelatable (bu Dio dick)

Although he did have some cool stand abilities, and being a priest at a prison is a good, albeit wasted, concept

Fuck off. Pucci was fun.

This.

Only via hacking.

Heaven wasn't vague if you actually paid attention. He wants everyone to know their fates before they happen. This is explicitly stated numerous times. And he doesn't really give a shit about DIO by the time he actually achieves heaven because his actual motive deep down was guilt over getting his sister killed.

>No Jojo game with the mechanics of Heritage and the roster of ASB/EoH

What is CC2 thinking? It would cost half as much and probably sell more.

>he just a goofy haired retard
Say that to my face, not online, and let's see what happens.

Who the fuck knows, ASB was okay, but its fairly simple and slow, Heritage was great but it had awful balance and only part 3 characters

Part 3 was great, just not as good as other parts

3 is ok, but the other parts have much more than 3's 'stand of the week' thing going on
Araki's writing gets better after 3 too, you can see how he's improved

Why doesn't Araki have an official porn book yet?

Fuck, even most top-tier western artists have one by now.

Autism or not, I love Jotaro

he'll always be my fave JoJo even though Part 2 Joseph is the best in the series

I find Jotaro relatable, and I love him during the D'Arby battle(s)

But he's completely outshined by lovable JoJos like Johnny, Joseph, and Josuke

Someone explain why Star Platinum learns how to stop time to me. Maybe I missed something in the manga but I don't get it.

Mangafans wants to be cool and hate the one that animefags like

>Same type of sand.

SP and The World are the same stands. There's a reason they constantly talk about how similar they are.

Young Joseph, you can't beat my nigga

Same type of stand!

>I was the only vote for Pucci
>the objectively best and most successful villain in the series

eat gravity/time you joestar fucking shits

Star Platinum and The World are so precise and quick enough to the point of stopping time.

The original plan Araki had when writing SC like 25 years ago was that The World could use every Stand ability of the Stands named after Tarot Cards, which also included the protagonist's Stands because they were Tarot ones. Araki realised this was fucking stupid and dropped it early on but he liked his idea for the final battle so much he didn't rewrite very much of it to fit better. Basically DIO would have used a bunch of powers that the group had all seen before but then he'd stop time as well which confused the fuck out of them and then when Jotaro realised he could move in stopped time he figures out that time stop was actually his own ability that DIO was copying and he just hadn't discovered it yet. Basically it's leftovers from an old script that Araki liked too much to drop.

The official explanation now is that the Hermit Purple we see DIO use once early on is Jonathan's Stand and The World is his, and Jotaro getting the same power as DIO was meant to be symbolic of how he's taking back everything DIO took from their family 100 years beforehand, including the one thing of DIO's that's actually his ie his Stand.

He and DIO have the exact same Stand because of their connection as Joestars. DIO learned how to stop time after he had a servant shoot him and place him in a very dangerous position where he needed to overexert himself. Jotaro became able to stop time after DIO put him in a similar position.

...

I still think it's a bit of an asspull, especially since Star Platinum never uses it until the DIO fight. I'm also mad at how cautious DIO is when he can fucking stop time. Like that whole sequence with DIO putting his head on the ground to try and hear Jotaro's heart beat is kind of stupid. Just stop time and then whack him with that street sign like you were planning to. Shoot space ripper stingy eyes or whatever its called.

Does the whole same stand type thing ever come up again? I'm about halfway(?) through part 4 on the manga (Reimi has just appeared) so I'm not very far in the series.

I remember Araki saying that he'd try and explain the whole Josuke's savior thing a little better if he ever had the chance to redo DiU.

I wonder if it'll be expanded upon in the anime

>DIO
>being shot
>very dangerous position

????

Does anyone else miss hamon? Personally I prefer it over stands. I especially liked part 2, where the rules for hamon were rather stable and everything revolved around how you use it. Sometimes Joseph's tricks were pretty fucking bullshit, but they were still fun and interesting. With stands, it feels like anything could happen and it kind of ruins the tension. Will the heroes win with cunning and courage or will they do something fucking stupid like breathe in really hard to win.

I watched Jojo to see cool tactics being played and shit, not to watch Jotaro win every fight by nothing by just punching shit, usually without strategy. Polnareff had better fights and was more enjoyable to watch as the protagonist.

Jojo part 4 fixed this by bringing back strategy to Jojo. But holy fuck the animation was so bad I dropped Part 4 and just read the manga for the rest of Part 4

animefags love part 2. Hell I think part 3 is why hamonfags exist.

Unless I'm mistaken, no. However, in part 5 he has the Ultimate Asspull be an inverse of what the Big Bad's stand is capable of which also plays foil to Diavolo's creed that the only thing that matters is the result of one's action and not what it took to make it happen.

>being mad at DIO for being cautious
>he should have just stopped time and whacked him
>like that time earlier in the fight where he stopped time and Jotaro punched right through him
>why did he even throw knives in the first place ? He could just have ripped his head off

>Hamon
Aaaand this is why JoJo threads should not happen outside of Cred Forums

Doubt it. And I doubt he'd actually make it Josuke going back in time either, since the whole point was that it was a random act of kindness from a complete stranger that gave him the will to do the same for others. I imagine he'd make it more clear that it's not actually Josuke since a lot of people seem to think it was for some stupid reason like them looking the same despite the fact that we're told that Josuke modeled himself off of the guy because of his respect. It's placement in the story always felt odd to me as well honestly, Koichi just fucking spews it out out of nowhere in the middle of Josuke anally ravaging Rohan. Could definitely have been worked on somewhat imo.

Once in Part 6 but it's mostly just a reference to the one in Part 3 and doesn't actually affect the story or plot.

anyone up for some vampire savior on fightcade?

Star Platinum and The World are the only two stands ever to have a thing going on between them.

It's brought up in Eyes of Heaven though, as Dio achieves The World Over Heaven but doesn't realize it also means that Star Platinum Over Heaven is a thing too.

Have you read or watched anything past Part 3 or the first half of Part 4? Stands are exactly like what you describe from Ripple but taken up a few levels.

Every fucking Jojo thread

I mean the only reason people think it's Josuke is because the guy's REALLY fucked up and Bites the Dust has time travel bullshit going on with it.

It's not a far fetched scenario but it's probably another case of Araki just changing how he wants the story to go at the last second like an idiot

I'm still upset that it's a shitty 3D fighter instead of a well made competitive 2D fighter.

So in a straight fight between The World and King Crimson who would win?

King Crimson.

Nope, see Not entirely sold on the anime. I watched the first 3 episodes or something like that and I think I like the manga more. Something about the anime seems... off? Can't quite put my finger on it. I kinda wish the entire anime was animated like the opening though.

King Crimson, considering he can see in the future 10 seconds while The World can only stop time for 8 seconds.

Presumably King Crimson. Dio stops time for too long so even if Diavolo predicts it, he'll still end up in it if he erases the time.

Though granted, this assumes that Diavolo would be affected by the time stop if he isn't there when time is stopped.

The World, because Diavolo is a gay bitch

Thankfully Part 8 seems to have been mostly planned out in advance given the amount of references to later stuff there was in the earlier chapters. I hope Araki doesn't decide to wing it again in future and actually has a game plan set for future stories. It's really paying off.

King Crimson because the time that's stopped gets deleted and he can see things 10 seconds before they happen. Though DIO would beat Diavolo since he's got unlimited stamina and regeneration so all he has to do is tank one of Diavolo's hit's and stop time while he recovers.

KC > TW
DIO > Diavolo

King Crimson is actually really strong though, he has the capability of 1 hit killing someone

um no, but jotaro's stand is a punchy fasty and that means all stands are. idiot :). why would i bother knowing about stands

But does the stopped time count as deletable time for king crimson?

King Crimson is one of the hardest hitting stands in the series but can't hover further than Diavolo's shoulder. So if we decide that he can predict the stopping of time and use his stand's ability to affect time that isn't moving, he wins freely.

I always liked to imagine that since he can see ten seconds into the future but Dio can stop eight seconds, that Dia would see the two seconds of action Dio would take after each time stop. That'd make it interesting and more Araki-like.

Never actually considered this, but regardless it doesn't matter, Epitaph sees 10 seconds into the future and predicts when The World will stop time, King Crimson can just erase that point in time

That's what I was saying. There's no circumstance where somebody effectively stops existing at the point where time is stopped. So maybe Diavolo would be able to move in the stopped time since he's not actually there when the time is stopped.

The World can theoretically stop time infinitely. The length of time that DIO can stop time goes for longer and longer during his fight with Jotaro. It's not unreasonable to think that he could stop time for longer than 10 seconds.

Come on user, if you really read part 4 you'd know that they've pulled the same stand shit already.

I honestly don't see how people like part 4. Yes, Kira is probably one of the most interesting villains from JoJo, but everything else blows dick.

I should've said, "that Diavolo can ONLY see the two seconds of action after the time stop." Meaning that he wouldn't be capable of seeing Dio's movement during frozen time.

Is that how it works? He can erase time? I thought it was just a 10 second glimpse into the future.

it's both

The ability Diavolo has to see the future is separate from King Crimson's ability to erase time.

And yes, the time is absolutely erased. Nothing that happens during that time happens, because it stops existing. Diavolo can't kick you in the dick during the erased time because it never happens.

>great jojo
>great villain
>cool stands
>cool story
>cool setting

Idk what else to tell you. I've been into JoJo for over 5 years now and I've read DiU 3 times. It's till a top 3 part for me.

So why didn't dio ever try to remake the stone masks so he could go in sunlight?

Or rather, I thought KC can erase time but that little pimple head of his saw into the future?

KC is the time erasing stand. The "sub-stand" Epitaph allows him to see into the future.

Trish should have gotten more than just one fight. She beats notorious B I G then goes back to baggage. I wanted more WANNABEs

Yasuho's moves could have involved making banana peels and such appear on the ground for the enemy to slip on, and Paisley Park did a punch rush before so we know it's not completely useless in straight combat. Her GHA could be bringing out Tsurugi and he could do to the enemy what he did to Aishou.

Aishou could have worked like N'doul as well, Joubin would have been cool, but there's really no point in putting him in when we don't even know what his ability is yet.

Damo and Kir8 would have worked well too, but EoH was already being made when those chapters were being published so it's understandable why they're not there. What's really unforgivable is the fact that they didn't change Gappy's moveset at all from ASB, his VA is shit as well.

Part 4 is the best part.

part 3 was one big grind then part 4 was just kooky fun, then part 5 turned into another huge grind then in part 5 and 6 everyone just had a pants on head fucking retarded character design. Part 7 came along and made jojo interesting again.

I didnt like the start so much, it seemed a lil directionless but around the 25% mark it starts really picking up and by the end its probably my favourite part so far except maybe part 1. The proportions were garbage, the art was sloppy and the story isnt the best but fuck I still really love the journey of part 1 and Jonathan Joestar is maybe my favourite Jojo and DIO is totally the best villain just for being moustache twirlingly evil.

Lets say he looks forward into the future 10 seconds and sees that a can of drink is going to spill. He erases that from happening. The 10 seconds pass and the can doesn't spill? Or does it spill, but the action of it spilling not occur.

King Crimson's shit is pretty inconsistent

>shoot a gun
>erase the time during when the bullet would hit someone
>the bullet never hit them

I keep getting told that it's like that futurama episode but in that, everything still happens, it's just nobody remembers it.

(8)>7>4>5>6>2>3>1
8 is subject to change.

I swear there was like a 10-30 second gif or webm on /wsg/ once that perfectly and concisely explained KC

Josuke is a great Jojo? I'm interesting in what makes you say so, because he is as boring as Jotaro. His only identifiable characteristic is muh hair, although the reason why he's autistic about it is pretty cool.

It's a pretty low budget anime which is part of the problem. Thay're also rushing the latter parts of Part 4.

because anime only fags believe hating part 3 is cool

shining diamond is pretty cool and I like the ways he creatively uses its restoring powers, like ripping off a piece of something to restore the entire thing to steal it.

Probably. Stopped time is stopped, meaning literally no time has passed meaning that if it falls within KC's erase then no matter how long it was stopped for the it gets erased. things in time stop still happened they just happened all at once.

HOW KING CRIMSON WORKS

Epitaph shows Diavolo what's gonna happen 10 seconds in the future, and he can't avoid it despite knowing what's coming. This is FATE. However, he can erase the time an event happened in so it never actually happened. So if he sees himself get stabbed he can erase the time it occured in and be perfectly fine. However, everyone except Diavolo will still suffer the results of what would have occurred to them in the erased time. So if you were fated to be stabbed and the time was erased you'd still end up with a stab wound, it'd just seem like it happened instantly and everyone teleported all at once. This is obviously incredibly confusing and Diavolo uses this to disorient enemies before attacking them. Basically it lets him escape any attack and lock anyone else into their fate. That's literally it.

I really wish he would do a part which completely changed things up again changing the focus or type of powers used. The jump from part 2 to 3 was a lil jarring but welcome and Id love to see things that arent stands in Jojo again.

>tfw almost everyone likes Part 7 the most but I don't

Lads, what am I doing wrong?

Nothing, everyone has different taste user
Most people dislike part 5, but I think it's one of the best parts

DIO is probably the best raw villain but I feel like Kira is by far more interesting in his role as antagonist.

Part 2 was probably the most forgetful for me, which is strange because it had some interesting characters like Wammu, Caesar, Kars, etc. The story itself was boring I guess.

If I had to explain it, he knows the drink will spill and erases time around it, when you go to reach for your drink it is inexplicably on the ground and the mess is already there. However, you wouldn't have seen or heard it happen. He could erase the moment it hit the ground, but the can still has to end up there if he knew it was going to fall.

so skipped actions affect everyone but Diavolo, ok

Isn't there the spin in part 7?

You have different opinions.

I know it's such a weird concept on Cred Forums but it happens.

Spin is a thing.

It's a huge asspull, but it's also the worst one in the series as far as I'm concerned. Some will argue that the end of Part 5 is worse, but I'd disagree.

It made perfect sense for DIO to be cautious though, he learned his lesson with Jonathan and he didn't want to take any risks this time around.

3 > 2 > 4 > 1 > 5 > 7 > 6.

It's alright user, I loved Part 3 as well.

I like that idea. When Epitaph shows him the future, he sees Dio moving at skitter-speeds and just deletes all of it out of fear/confusion.

how come when Dio sucks joseph off, he gets green lipstick

So he isn't really erasing time? Erasing peoples memories of events that happen within the 10 seconds would be more accurate. Unless there's something fundamentally wrong with that way of thinking.

No one really hates part 3, most people who have gone through all of Jojo just find it to be highly overrated. It's clear to see WHY it's popular though, it begins the concept of Stands, draws a close to DIO's arc as a villain, brings in two generations of Joestars for the first time, really sets the mood for 'the Joestar bloodline is important' and it's a pretty big story, a world spanning chase to battle a time stopping vampire. On it's own, it is a really cool story. But when stacked up against the other Jojo parts, it falls short. Part 2 is always a fan favorite simply because of Joseph (and Hamon fans) but parts beyond part 3 take what Part 3 did and refine it even more. I won't put it all in one basket, but I feel the vast, vast majority of Part 3 fans are people who have not delved into the rest of Jojo, there are people who genuinely like part 3 the most out of all the parts, but honestly, they are a minority, because when you look into the rest of Jojo, it's hard not to find so much more to love.

didnt you post this horribly shitty taste last time

Is there a reason why DIO doesn't have his Dio Brando powers? I guess part of it might be due to the fact that he's using Jojo's body now, but surely his eye beams should still work. They're his own eyes after all. Honestly I'd love to see a denial combo of both time stops and vaporizing freeze. Prevent people from acting at any point.

Maybe his thought process is why bother when I have ZA WARUDO

that makes more sense than any other way I've seen someone explain it

He's a delinquent, he gets in fights and gets fucked up, and even then,he wasn't that fucked up, not as fucked up as Jouske was when fighting Kira. The only basis for saying it might have been the case that Josuke would go back in time is BtD, but even then, that's not how BtD works and it would defeat the point of Josuke being saved if he saved himself.

I thought Stroheim was cool...
Then again, I love cyborgs.

Best Jojo of course

I always post it, because it's the truth.

how many times do you think he gave Gyro a BroJojob because he couldnt satisfy him with his loose unfeeling asshole?

The only thing that is inconsitent in KC is when Diavolo takes Trish out of the elevator, and even then there's a logical explanation for it, it's just that that explanation is never stated to be the reason why in the manga.

Im part way throigh Jojo: Waifu Edition and I dont see it getting much love. Why? Its pretty decent so far and its had some pretty weird stands and scenareos like Marilyn Manson.

I was pretty surprised, the Nazis seemed like cool guys over all. Most media would REALLY hesitate to show Nazis in any positive light.

What I want to know is how the hell Stroheim died in Stalingrad when he's a goddamn cyborg with a machine gun stomach. Did Russia make their own macho mecha man?

In all honesty, Araki probably forgot his eye beams existed.

In the scenario you brought up, the time that was erased was the can falling off the table and hitting the ground. However, the can still has to be on the ground if he saw it there in the future and chooses not to interfere. To the world around him, that can was on the table and then on the ground in the same instant.

Drags way too long. The only good thing about it is that it sets up Part 7.

Always and forever!

shittiest fights and underutilized crew

actually one of my more favorite parts

but hes crippled

How can you forget SPACE RIPPER STINGY EYES?

He probably doesn't make mothers eat their own babies anymore either.

Cheers for the explanation, this has made the most sense to me out of anything so far!

5>4>7>6>2>3>1

Anime only fag, part 4 is shaping to be my favorite part so far. It's so SoL-y and I like that.

They portrayed Stroheim as a man who wanted to do his country proud and his country as one shortsighted by avarice.

Not horrible or saintly. Honestly caught me off guard too. I thought he was going to be a villain.

All the Joestars get very bittersweet endings, but usually end on a good note
>Jonathan dies, but his wife and child live on
>Joseph loses his best friend, but saves the world and finds his mother and future wife
>Jotaro loses three friends, but defeats DIO once and for all
>Kira got away with all his murders, including two people Josuke knew and Hayato's father (which will inevitably break his mother's heart), but he was inevitably killed, and the town was returned to peace
>Giorno lost a number of friends, but attained his dream of being the boss
>Everyone but Emporio died, but the new universe without Pucci was pretty peaceful for Jolyne, her friends and family
>Johnny lost Gyro, pretty much the only person he gave a shit about since he became paralyzed, but regained his legs, found his future wife, seemed to repair things with his father, and generally improved himself as a person

So all in all, it's not doubt Gappy will suffer some tragedies, but he will have something of a happy ending.

No problem, user

I thought he was just going to be the evil Nazi idiot who awakens the sleeping powers that be and gets his face melted off. He was surprisingly manly when trying to stop Santivento or whatever his name is. I wasn't expecting him to make a comeback, but he does. He's even there to help stop Kars, which surprised me again.

He is erasing time. Here is how I visualize it.

Diavolo looks into the future and sees the next ten seconds of time. Whatever he sees will happen, even knowing what will happen, he can't change it on his own, so if someone's about to stab him, he can't dodge the knife or take it from the stabber, it's impossible.

What he can do is erase the next ten seconds of time so that that person never actually stabbed him. Now, within the erased time, this is how things work. There is a Fated Diavolo and a Canon Diavolo. Fated Diavolo and the rest of the world continue on as Epitaph foresaw, so Fated Diavolo is stabbed, but Canon Diavolo is now free from after for ten seconds and can do as he wishes. He also appears to be intangible in this time, so even if he didn't move away from the knife, he would be fine. This also means that he cannot hurt anybody in the erased time, but because he knows where everybody will be when the erased time ends, he can position himself perfectly to get the jump on his enemies.

At the end of the erased time, the Fated Diavolo is gone, as though he never existed in the first place, and the Canon Diavolo is the one left in the timeline.

well Josefumi lost Kira so weve already got that going for us

Things go from one point to the other with no time inbetween.

The cast are okay, but don't get anytime to shine. The first half is a boring slog.
The end and Pucci are fantastic though.

it's weird how Kakyoin and Avdol kind of die randomly like bitches

the lack of Vanilla Ice aka the best vampire who killed more of the maincast than Dio is disturbing

so how does he kill helicopter guy without anyone stopping him

user, I don;t think that's how it ended for Johnny at all.

Tell us the board

OVA Ice > Cool Ice

>Santivento or whatever his name is
The anime, paritcularly the dub, lost the rights to use a few names.

For example:
Santana -> Sanviento

Well it's a pretty honest portrayal. Despite what media says, most of the actual Nazis were the upper officers. The soldiers were just people. Stroheim was the same, he may have made the Nazi salute, and wore the Swastika, but that was a part of being in the German army at the time, he never, as far as I remember, spoke about Nazis being great, or Nazi beliefs, he was just proud of his countries growth and strength and wanted to do everything for it to make it great.

Basically he's realised he's fucked and is about to just go on a rampage and kill as many as possible when Epitaph shows him successfully killing Narancia but then getting killed himself, and he thinks 'oh shit I could erase that and be perfectly fine while Narancia still dies because Epitaph predicted it' and does just that. He never realised he could use his Stand in that way before because he was always paranoid about his identity and needed to be prepared to die and actually have the balls to make a suicide run for Epitaph to actually predict it and allow him to erase it.

How I thought of it was this.

Imagine an animation. Each frame is a second of time. Diavolo erases time by skipping a couple of frames. So like, imagine him throwing a punch. You animate this by showing him wind his arm back, throw the punch and have it connect. King Crimson erases the middle frames, so he has like a frame of him winding up and then immediately cuts to the frames of him hitting someone. He doesn't have to throw the punch, he's erased the time it takes to throw a punch so to everyone else he basically teleported his fist into their face.

Well, I wouldn't call "getting swallowed by an invisible, fast moving void" and "getting gut punched by a time stopping vampire" "randomly dying like a bitch"

Avdol's death was completely out of nowhere like lol ded

Pretty much. It was set before the war actually started and all the atrocities that people associated with the Nazis came to light, most of the German people themselves were completely unaware of them right up until the war actually ended. Most countries before WW2 actually thought Germany was on the right track and doing a great job under Hitler at first, until he started the whole invasion thing.

that... makes sense actually

Well yeah I know that, but I mean, how their stories technically came to a close usually ended on a high note even with some bitterness. I mean even then, Johnny saved his wife and child, just like Jonathan

I don't remember who helicopter guy is, but Diavolo can usually get away with killing people by erasing time and quickly going in for the kill while everybody's confused and disoriented. That's how he gets Narancia.

The onlt thing I don't understand about KC is how he got Trish out of the elevator, but my guess is that he was fated to get Trish out of the elevator, and he just skipped the action of him doing so, so the Fated Diavolo took her out and Canon Diavolo grabbed her once the erased time ended. The only issue with that is that it makes you wonder why he wouldn't just kill everyone that way, and I have to guess that it's because Diavolo can't decide his own fate. He can't walk up to someone and say "I'm going to kill this person" and then just skip over thee murder itself. If the person is fated to die at Diavolo's hands, then maybe he could skip the murder, but he doesn't get to decide what he's fated to do.

its almost like it was to build drama and tension and to show just how horrifying and strong vanilla ice is or something

>Deadly Queen
>Worse Company
>BoysManMan
>Highway Go Go
>Golden Wind
>Zipper Man
>Weather Forecast
>Cry Cry Dolls
>Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price

Shining Diamond and Maiden Heaven was pretty clever

Well, thats how Cream works. It comes out of nowhere, with little to no warning. Thats what made it so terrifying as a Stand, since it was invisible, extremely fast, came out of nowhere and could kill you instantly. it's like saying being killed by Kira's bombs is dying like a bitch

Maiden Heaven is good, Shining Diamond is shit. Worse Company is awful. That's a name that really went from Bad to Worse.

I never got this why was the rat's stand fucking this?

Also it was very neat how the rat's basically shared the stand.

so "The World" wasn't dio's stand. in part 3, the dio we see is just dio's head on jonathan's body. so when the arrow pierced the body, that's technically jonathan's stand. so it stands to reason (no pun intended) that his great-great-grandson jotaro could have a real similar stand as well.

nigga its a reference to the lyrics in Shine On You Crazy Diamond

So like... could Dio have two stands then? Johnathon's stand and his own?

because the stand's name was Ratt.

So why wouldn't the rat have Ratt?

It's been confirmed numerous times to be DIO's Stand and not Jonathan's. Jonathan's is the Hermit Purple clone DIO uses in one of the early SC chapters.

Yes it is DIO's Stand. Jonathan's Stand is the Hermit Purple-esque Stand DIO uses at the start. If The World wasn't DIO's then Diego wouldn't get THE WORLD in SBR.

Pretty much cause outside of the whole "invade everyone and commit horrifying crimes on humanity" Hitler was pretty much everything people wanted in a leader. He was charismatic, polite, mingled with the citizens, lead his country in growing, and was all around seen as a great fellow. If it wasn't for the complete about face into absolute monster territory, Hitler, as funny as it sounds, probably would have gone down as one of the greatest leaders of a country. But, who knows.

i think it was something about the rat having an automatic stand? like it's machine-like because the rat was acting on instinct, like a machine. or something.

>5 and 6 that high while 2 is so low

shameful

...

I mean why is it so mechanical? Doesn't seem like it would fit rats at all

>less than 2 weeks

WHO'S FUCKIN HYPE

>Boy II Man has the potential to be OP if you have good luck
>win 3 matches against a stand user and you basically steal their stand
>nothing saying you couldn't steal the stands of multiple people

and yet Ken Onayagi was a one-off character

someone post that theory about DIO originally having a combination of every stand and that the time stop was foreshadowing to Star Platinums ability

I know, it's still a shit name though, but to be fair, I'm mostly just hard on it because I really like the name Crazy Diamond.

It will be animated poorly and not reflect how amazing the manga is in any way.

>implying 5 and 6 are bad
SPEEDEREADERS EVERYBODY

Nigga, highway star is next friday, also Rohan isn't off the Ruse Cruise from Josuke's and Alien's scam

its more like people who started out with the anime and carried their shit taste with them when they started reading the manga

That wasn't a theory it was Araki's actual game plan early on until he realised it was stupid.

Not that user, but The World is Dio's Stand. In an early appearance in part 3, DIO uses a similar Stand to Hermit Purple, which was actually Jonathan's Stand. Most likely he either never used it again, since he had The World, or taking over Jonathan's body completely caused Jonathan's Stand to fade away.

yeah but that takes place in a seperate universe. he could have fuckin anything and it wouldn't be affected by OG Dio or anything that happened in 1-6.

araki is a madman sometimes

>Part 3 came about because when he visited Egypt he was paranoid that every nigger there was out to get him

Because Stands. The design, usually, has nothing to do with the owner, and is just some random design. As the series continues, Stands begin to take on more and more mechanical appearances, most likely Araki just likes the design aspect.

...

Part 6 is the worst though, doesn't mean it's bad
Part 5 is the best

Honestly it could be QUALITY: The Episode and I wouldn't care because I've been waiting 10 god damn years to finally see my favorite fight in the series animated.

replied to wrong one

Have the better version.

>Diavolo mentioning that pleb show
That's the only atrocity here bossman

its amazing just how much a man can forget, like of course theres major plot points, characters, details, etc. but the man fucking forgot how to draw in one style

im afraid that hell start developing Alzheimers soon

YOU DON'T POSSESS THE 「RESOLVE」 TO ENTER THIS WORLD

6 isn't bad it just starts slow and everyone but Jolyne and Pucci doesn't get enough screentime. It's better than 1, 2, and 3 at the very least.

Will Dio ever fuck him in his boipucci

To be fair he hasn't drawn in that style for over 20 years so it's not exactly the same as the others.

best part about part 6 is jotaro jobbing throughout the entire manga

He's not really intangible, Trish mentions in the final battle that if you take him by surprise, even skipping time isn't enough for him to escape.
I think it's less he outright erases time and more he erases other's perception of time. Everyone else still does what they're supposed to do as decided by Fate without being conscious of it, but Diavolo can do whatever he wants during that time, although he can still be hit normally. When it ends, it looks like time was skipped.

I think both Epitaph and King Crimson is why Diavolo makes such a huge deal of being able to conquer fate : guy is pretty much able to escape his destiny at any given situation, that's pretty broken.

Prolly not, he respected him as a friend and wouldn't force him like literally anyone else and Pucci was too devout to ever ask him if he ever did want it.

Literally no, there's so many terrible stands and characters..

Whatever the green goblin name was
The Feng Shuei guy
DIO's sons
Pucci's backstory and his homoerotic interactions with DIO
Everything that didn't include Jolyne and her gang basically

I mean Vento Aureo only came out ab-
>1995

holy fuck its been 20 years

The fact that Diego has it is just to seal it, as if there wasn't enough proof to show that The World is DIO's to begin with. We know that the SBRverse versions of characters sometime have the same Stands as their parallels anyway, though it's not always the case.

Most of the parts weren't even that long, except for Steel Ball Run which was 7 years long.

She meant that if you surprise him he'll still be in danger when the erase is finished, which happens numerous times like Buccellati getting gutpunched then zipping the hole shut immediately afterwards to catch Diavolo off guard. He does LITERALLY erase time however, I don't see why you'd argue against that when it's explicitly stated numerous times and Araki has always described his power as actually erasing time.

You could say it was truly a roundabout path

How was Pucci's backstory bad?

I'm pretty sure he is intangible, it's how he survived the Metallica fight. What Trish probably meant was, that if you can get him by surprise at the end of the erased time, he'll be vulnerable, seeing as it would probably take it out of him to just erase, erase, erase.

technically Jotaro and Kira are the same person in JoJolion so what does this mean about genetics and who gets what stands?
how come the hirose in this universe isnt a midget?
how come I really wanna bang the nijimura in this universe?

JJL is also fairly long, so far at least.

is it okay if Whitesnake was my favorite Part 6 stand

I just really like the pulling CDs out of people thing

Man I like his new style, everything except the fucking hands, I don't know what it is.

Because the names are literally just references with very little actual meaning. Nijimura is a fake name in JJL even, she's still a Joestar/Kira. I also really want to bang her though.

There's no point in viewing it as a 1:1 thing. If you're trying to tie the SBRverse genetics in with the OGverse genetics, you should probably stat by asking how baby Haruno is around in 2011 and who is his father?

>still no rape doujin where white snake immobilizes jolyne with his weird semen

SBR has been the longest in both how long it took to come out and how long the finished work is. There was some guy on Cred Forums a few months ago who was drunk and bored and counted how many pages were in each Part, I might see if I can find it.

I love it too, only issue is that there are plenty of unimportant panels that don't look too great, but I can forgive it because anything that deserves any kind of focus looks fantastic.

my only gripe is that a lot of the fight scenes that actually use fisticuffs are really weirdly paced and odd looking

stand rushes still look fine though

Found it.

Phantom Blood: 857 pages (44 chapters)
Battle Tendency: 1313 pages (69 chapters)
Stardust Crusaders: 3055 pages (154 chapters)
Diamond is Unbreakable: 3669 pages (174 chapters)
Vento Aureo: 3299 pages (155 chapters)
Stone Ocean: 3432 pages (158 chapters)
Steel Ball Run: 4712 pages (95 chapters)
JoJolion: 2576 pages (as of chapter 56, still ongoing)

>Robert EO Speedwagon
>REO Speedwagon

hard to believe Stone Ocean had less pages than Diamond is Unbreakable considering how long it felt

This sexy devil
I'm so glad he's finally playable

>Jonathan's Stand is the Hermit Purple-esque Stand DIO uses at the start
No, that's just Hermit Purple
You see at the start Araki intended that The World was supposed to be a combination of all other stands, that's why Tower of Gray said "DIO is the master of stands, he has the power to reign over them all", and that's how DIO is able to use Hermit Purple. It was retconned later into time stopping

STILL NO
>FF
>HOT PANTS
>WEKAPIPO
>RINGO
>SANDMAN
>CAPCOM MIDLER

Part 5 didn't seem like an asspull to me. The whole latter part of the conflict was centered around the stand arrow and how each was trying to use it because whoever got it first was clearly going to be the winner. When Giorno got it and used it, it was clear he had one; the rest was just him mopping up.

Jotaro having autism is joke you idiot.

poes law?

I know, but then he retconned it again by saying that that was Jonathan's Stand. He says it's Jonathan's in JOJO A-GO! GO!

I agree, but a lot of people see it as an asspull.

>CHOOSE YOUR ̶F̶I̶G̶H̶T̶E̶R̶ FAGGOT

a roster of a thousand is still fuck-all if each character has only a handful of derivative, command-sharing attacks

He's a little autistic, it's just that Araki never really touched on it since he only gave Polnareff character development in Part 3. That guy you replied to is projecting pretty hard, though.

He didn't MAKE her eat her baby.

The world at the end of Stone Ocean isn't the same as the SBR universe.

LET THE VOICE OF LOVE TAKE YOU HIIIIIIIGHERRRRRRRRRR

god the new op is so fucking good

This. As far as I can tell, act 2 is objectively better than act three.
>Write "Kaboom" on someone
>They explode

>and his fights are fucking boring
stay tuned for next friday, anime-boy

They're going to fuck it up, user.

When did they ever fuck anything up?

I was expecting them to go more serious after Chase, but then again I also forgot that Part 4 is at it's goofiest after Yoshikage becomes Kosaku

The problem with Koichi is that he gets a stand with possibly the greatest potential for creative abilities in part 4 (apart from Heaven's Door), but never really does anything with it except with Act 2.

youtube.com/watch?v=eGfRftUV1Hw

Seriously?
I will say that I don't expect it to be awful, but it won't be as good as it is in the manga.

That and Act 3 doesn't really do much. He does 3FREEZE and nothing else.

Act 2 is by all means more interesting

remember when they revealed deadry queen?

Act 3 feels really cut short. The way he explains his powers sounds like "Three-Freeze" is only one attack out of many, but it's the only one he ever uses

I don't miss it, but I do wish old man Joseph would remember that he can use it from time to time. Hell I wish old man Joseph would remember he can do anything from time to time.
>OH MY GOD! The invisible baby fell in the water and we cant see it!
>Should I use my stand, who's power is literally finding things?
>Nah, I'll just almost die turning SOME of the water red. Hope it's in this area right here.

Glad they got rid of that trash OP
Might possibly be the best OP since So no Chi no Sadame

Act 3 could have done more, it's just that it's ability is so complex that it's hard to come up for more for it. Koichi barely shows up after SHA anyway, so it's not like he had many opportunities to do new things with it.

>complaining about 1 scene
I admit they fucked up the reveal, but they improved tonnes

I expected you to list an example of some scene that lost its intensity or dynamic when it it happened in anime compared to the manga, not a drawing mishap that will probably be fixed in blueray

The only thing that annoy me is that if you say you liked part 3 everyone call you animeonlyfag. Fucking anonymous anime image board I swear

He just wanted to look badass infront of his son, user

That's why you people keep hating on Vento Aureo?

Act 3 was supposed to work more with word play and rhymes, right?

>Part 5 reference in the new OP
David studios is here to save anime

>i'm only familiar with the part where stands were first introduced and hadn't reached their full potential
>WAAAHHHH STANDS SUCK HAMON IS BETTER

I disliked part 5 initially, being new to Jojo and coming straight from part 4.
It was a huge tonal shift from DiU.
It grew on me when I went to reread it after going through the rest of the parts. It's definitely closer in tone to the later parts

Does that mean we're getting a new ED as well? Maybe Stray Cat Strut to show bubblecat some love?

After Sono Chi No Sadame showed all the JoJos up to part 6, they're almost obligated to keep it up

I imagine alot of the VA hate is because of bad quality scans + translation

I'm wondering if it was a similar situation with 4 when there were only Duwang translations

On an unrelated note, anyone tried the Part 5 game on PS2?

My understanding of it is that it was word play that mixed together English and Japanese. It starts with Suri, which is what ti sounds like when a Japanese person says "three" and then Act 3 can make three changes and those changes affect a consonant and a vowel together, to it to make a new word. In the case of 3 Freeze, it goes like this:
SuRi
Change 1- FuSuRi
Change 2- FuRiSu
Change 3- FuRiZu
And now it sounds like a Japanese person saying freeze, and so it 'freezes' things by making them heavy.

Where?

Yeah, but he just stuck to freezing people and that was it.

Not that it isn't a useful trick, but yeah, more could be done with it. I'm not sure if the issue is with Koichi or with the stand itself because it seems to possess a personality and semblance of autonomy of its own.

Nah ED's cost money because they use licensed music. If they haven't changed it yet then it's not getting changed.

Where the fuck is Chaka?

I don't watch the show but main him in the original fighting game, it's amazing. Is he not a prominent character or something?

Why are Jojos fighting games? Virtually none of the fights in the series were actual fights.

It might be translation issue, though it didn't stop any love for DiU when we had Duwang.
Then again, VA has much crazier stands to be understandable with bad translation. I swear most of the later fights looked like Yugioh fights to me.

Personally I think some people just dislike Giorno in general.

I've not played it, but to my knowledge, it's just okay. Great soundtrack though.
youtube.com/watch?v=3oiwAmk9NeY
youtube.com/watch?v=0YOf6YKIyzE

Part 5 is all but confirmed. Depending on how well the rest of Part 4 and then Part 5 sell which is a given considering how much they love it in Japan, Part 6 will probably gonna happen too.

I'd LOVE Part 7 to get animated but it'd be an incredible undertaking and I honestly don't know if David are up to the task.

He's a one off villain in part 3 and never shows up again after that

No he's a minor "villain of the week"

DUWANG didn't stop people liking Part 4. It could even be why a lot of people have fond memories of it.

Dying isn't cool! Fixing a problem by having the proper tool for the job and knowing how to use it to solve all your child's problems, THAT'S how you show your kid you're a badass.

He was just a schmuck. It was Anubis that was important.

24 seconds into the new OP, there's a sign above Koichi with the "symbol" of Golden experience with the year part 5 takes place, 2001.

Also, there is a reference to Stardust crusaders and Stone Ocean in the OP in the street signs as well

I like Giorno well enough, but I understand why people dislike him, that said, he's great in PHF. He's like what Part 4 Jotaro is to Part 3 Jotaro.

Thats upsetting. I wonder why he's in the first game since it's clear they don't struggle for characters

Even just 5 years ago there was love for DiU but it was FAR less prominent than it is now.

It was based pretty much entirely on Part 3 characters and the modern ones are based on everything, so they had more leeway to pick random one off characters for the first one.

Wide selection of characters.
It's easier and makes more sense to make a fighting game.
It wouldn't make much sense making an RPG or a musou, since there aren't a lot of random fights going on to sustain the gameplay.

The Capcom game only included characters from part 3, they probably just tried to include as many characters as they could

>it's clear they don't struggle for characters
What? HttF has two DIOs, two Kakyoins, and two Polnareffs. If that's not struggling, I don't know what is. Young Joseph is also there, and he's not even in the part itself.

HttF is just Part 3 characters, pretty much every one off villain got in.

Last episode didn't get a ED since it was focusing on Josuke and Rohan's WACKY DICE BATTLE.

Besides, I think they're running out of room to cram things into the current ED if they're adding references to keep up with the story.

What are some sound effects you would have act 2 use to make it useful?

Well you know, with the scene with Joseph and Josuke and his cain, it's a similar situation with having Josuke heal Joseph's wound

It's like pottery

yeah but the extra Dio and Kakyoins are hidden characters. And both Polnareffs play very differently

cane* damn it deckard cain, stop fucking up my grammar.

Throw "CRUNCH" at an enemy to break their bones maybe?

Can't disagree with you, SBR is so well drawn that I'm afraid the animated series will get a stupid amount of QUALITY, like we're having right now.

ZAWA ZAWA ZAWA ZAWA

Don't worry, Crazy Diamond can fix it for the DVD release.

Even if SBR has a good budget, the art will be nowhere near the manga's quality. Part 4 having QUALITY doesn't really matter, since it mainly has shoddy animation in parts that don't need to be animated well, but SBR in general has much more action.

Not to mention the horses.

Welcome to Jojo friend

dollars to donuts is the horses will be CG

Part 6 anime when? I dropped that shit 30 chapters in because toooo boring :/

Probably. Honestly, I'd rather no SBR adaptation and for them to skip to JoJolion. Maybe a little prologue for the latter that talks about the SBR race to give a little bit of backstory to Johnny's death.

Where's the Stone Ocean reference? I must've missed that one.

Part 6 is boring? What the fuck? It's fucking crazy nine times out of ten.

I don't even think Jumpin' Jack Flash is 30 chapters in, and that fight is fucking insane.

Not to mention that drawing all of those horses running together would be fairly difficult. I'd almost prefer a high quality OVA that just covered some of the more notable fights, like the SDC OVA. JJL seems like it would be more doable, although it still wouldn't be as good as the manga.

I don't get it at all.

Early SO is a fucking slog whenever Pucci's not around. Later SO is batshit insane, in a good way of course.

That'd be retarded honestly. I'd rather they didn't animate either.

Chaka was just a village kid who picked up the true villain, Anubis.

Hol Horse was the closest to a prominent antagonist character, not including Dio. Wasn't he going to replace Avdol originally? I forgot if that was a fan theory or not.

I've never felt that way about early SO, but to each their own.

an easy shortcut would be to just avoid having the horse's legs on-screen as much as possible while riding

It's a fan theory. Hol helps the Crusaders in the Justice fight so he stood alongside them on the volume cover of that fight. Since then people thought he was supposed to join them even though he wasn't.

How would that be retarded? It's either that, or Warner shill out a huge budget for a part that's not very popular in Japan.

Dino Dio was better

>People complain about Chase, arguably the best OP in the series thus far
>So they rush out some shitty half-done new OP with dragonball super-tier animation and drawing.

I fucking hate every single one of you faggots who complained about Chase.

We all know Dino Dio is the best Dio user, no need to point it out.

That's probably why it'll never get adapted. Same with JJL, though it's still liked more than SBR over there. It's still not as popular as 1-5 or even 6 though.

Araki was considering making Hol join, but not to replace Avdol. Avdol was always supposed to come back after he died, but Araki felt that having Hol in the party would make things a bit too confusing.
jojo.wikia.com/wiki/JoJonium/Special_Interviews

behold the power of my stand, 「Creepy Creatures」

Yea, here's an art about it too

We were getting a third OP this episode regardless so really it's on David for being so cheap with it.

I do remember them bringing back Avdol back due to fan demand, which was why it more shocking when they killed him off the way that they did.

As for Hol Horse on the team, unless he had a bud as well I can't see why they'd let him on the team, especially if he'd killed Avdol. Also, I can't see how Araki would've kept the Emperor interesting for the rest of the series since he was only really a threat when paired with someone else.

Unless Araki went full Tusk with the Emperor, at which point he could probably take on Dio himself.

>avdol
>fan demand

intriguing

He didn't bring Avdol back because of fan demand. Stop believing everything you read here.

>I killed him once in India, because I'm always trying to keep readers from getting bored with the same pattern. I also wanted to add some reality to the story by having someone get sacrificed. I thought it'd be great to add in an episode where they lose a team member. I didn't intend to erase him forever, though.. But I thought it'd be too easy if he came back to life immediately, so I wanted to prepare a flashy comeback that readers would be able to accept. When I draw JoJo, I never plan out the small things. In the end, I managed to bring Avdol back just before they reached Egypt, but I never planned that beforehand. It was just an idea that came to me while drawing. Now that I think back on it, since I killed him once, I probably should have made him more important in the story. Of course, these thoughts all come to me after I've already finished the story. Making the story center around Avdol would have been very adventurous at the time (Laughs); Even in the character popularity polls, I don't think he was ever in any of the top spots. Everyone just wanted to see Jotaro fight... Also, drawing Magician's Red was a bit of a struggle for me.

He even says that Avdol wasn't popular.

2>7>5>4>1>3>6

Least that's what I remembered hearing a while back. Araki's probably mentioned something in recent interviews about how it might not have been the case, but Avdol was supposedly pretty popular.

Makes sense. Only part of that theory that doesn't make sense is why would any of them consider letting Hol join them after what he and J. Guile did? Polnareff in particular would be against it, since he still thought Avdol was dead.

Chase is a good OP. The reason anyone wouldn't like it is because it's so different compared to every other OP. Of course, that was kinda the point of it, to emphasis just how drastic things have gotten from Kira's introduction to his escape.

Did Hol have a bud in him? I don't think he did, even after swearing total loyalty to DIO. I think the reason DIO didn't implant one in him was because he respected Hol's professionalism as an assassin. Keep in mind that he implanted one in Enyba, who was one of his most loyal goons, so loyalty doesn't equal respect.

Damn it Araki, her moveset writes itself.

People who posts shit like this need to rethink their lives.

Nobody gives a shit about an order of numbers that you don't even explain. This isn't facebook.

>2 first
>6 last
Jesus fucking Christ, you have abysmal taste.

>her

5>3>7>4>2>1>6

Ah, I 「STAND」 corrected, thanks.

SHINING

JUSTICE

>6 anywhere but last

>not maining Joshu

MEBAETE

What was wrong with it?

is joshu the AU okuyasu?

How is it any worse than Part 2? It only has Joseph, Stroheim, and Wamuu going for it, and even then the writing is fucking abysmal. Lisa Lisa and Caesar were basically two Dires.

It's a fucking mess.

He's not AU anyone. None of the characters are straight-up alternatives to old characters.

What does it sound like when you talk like thiiiii~s anywaaaaaaay?

I still don't really understand the whole 'budding' thing anyway. It's like Jotaro and co just stop checking after Polnareff. I don't even think they indicated that he even HAD one in the OAV, he was just that focused on finding out his sister's killer.

Also, Dio had all these dangerous stand users around, yet he chose to put a bud in Okuyasu's father of all people?

He's not the AU anybody. We already know that the SBRverse is the universe where everything is based, so of course based fucking Joushuu can only exist in that universe.

It probably works much better in Japanese than it does in English.

Terrible stands and characters like DIO's sons but no Giorno

You talking shit about best girl, son?

So is it just me or are the SBR universe stands more deliberately mechanical than previous parts

like is is it like that for a reason or just Araki changing his design choices up

what did araki mean by this?

He's probably just changing the designs up. There's not really any reason why he changes artstyle every part, but he does it anyway.

Hi Wa Mata Noboru's translations are garbage, so just pretend they're not there.

spiritual successor then

most of them are composites of one or more characters from the p1-6

Joshu was trying to mess with Kaato, since he and Daiya were unsure of whether or not Kaato was actually their mother.

you suuuuuuure? you might just be imaginiiiiiing iiiiit

who makes the not-garbage ones then?

In SBR Stands stop doing anything and just give abilities to their users. I think it's because Araki wanted characters to be more involved in fighting, you can see it starting in SO where while Stone Free did the punching, it was Jolyne's body that unraveled into string

No one.

i dont feel comfortable pretending that best part doesnt exist in english

They're accurate but the guy who does them is autistic about keeping things super close to how it was in the original text, even if a line doesn't make sense. Araki actually writes half of the characters in JJL taaaaaaalki~~~~~ng liiiiiike thi~~~~~~~~~~s.

>Stone Free
>Whitesnake
>Foo Fighters
>Jumping Jack Flash
>Limp Bizkit
>Jailhouse Lock
>Dragon's Dream
>Weather Report
>Sky High
>Bohemian Rhapsody
>Underworld
>C-Moon

>Bad

I will admit that Hermes and Anasui got shafted though.

Nobody, at the moment. HWMN's translations aren't bad, they're just really stupid.

They keep in honorifics and spell the names weirdly (like Joshuu, it should either be Joshu or Joushuu, not a mixture of both) and is overall pretty inconsistent.

Not that I'm in any position to complain, since they translate and upload the chapters to bato.to within a day of being released in Japan.

I think its implied that Mr. Nijimura had a Stand, which is where his regeneration powers originate from since getting stabbed with the Arrow either gives you a Stand or kills you, but it's never been confirmed. Also, I believe that DIO was using buds as a means of controlling others that he didn't trust. But I think he stopped using those after the Major Arcana Stands were defeated. The Egyptian God Stand users were made in a bit of a hurry, if I remember.

He's wrong, HWMN are accurate but the guy who translates them is a sperg who keeps things EXACTLY the same and won't reword them to make more sense because it changes from what it was in the original text.

That's how people talk in every JoJo part though, Hi Wa Mata Noboru are just the only ones that think there's a need to translate it.

No user, there's only one Joushuu in the multiverse. He can only exist in the universe where everything is based.

headshots still kill vampires

look at this face user

does this look like the face of a manchild who would do such a thing?

>Araki actually writes half of the characters in JJL taaaaaaalki~~~~~ng liiiiiike thi~~~~~~~~~~s.
He's been doing that for a while, but only the Part 6 and Part 8 fan translators kept them in.

replace dragons dream with earth wind and fire and youve got a sound argument

I love Beetle Tendency

Yes.

Oh so he's google translate?

Why the fuck does Golden Experience not make any sense?
I'm not talking about GER, i'm talking about the regular golden experience
Like, i understand that Giorno can "create life" and that hitting those things reflects the damage on you
Then he has the "you get slowed down if he punches you" power
But how the fuck does he heal people?
I don't fucking understand it
>Enemy took a chunk of my throat
>It's cool, i just turned this rock into a throat and put it on me

Also, Why does Giorno remind me of Naruto so fucking much?
Every fucking time he's having an argument with an ally he fucking changes their mind by going "I GIORNO GIOVANNA, HAVE A DREAM"
How the fuck is that any different from Naruto going on about wanting to be Hokage?
Don't get me wrong, i don't hate part 5 but i feel that it gets way too much praise

Precisely.

It's something of a duwang situation, but not nearly as bad. It's an accurate translation of what's being said, but it's written in poor English. They need someone who is actually skilled at English to complement the translation.

The translator is a huge fucking baby though so he'd quit translating before accepting his translation is garbage. The dude on here who beat them that time he had a breakdown had a better translation overall.

I really liked Dragon's Dream but I did read up on some Feng Shui so I probably got it a little more than most. Also in retrospect, I forgot Meteor Waves and Survivor.

No, he actually knows Japanese and makes sure it flows well enough and knows what he's doing, but he refuses to change the sentence structure around a little bit to make it flow better so a lot of dialogue feels stilted.

>Survivor
canon worst stand

Name 1 (one) character that is better then Joshu

I can't.

He learned how to create parts of organisms instead of just entire organisms. It's really not that much of a stretch. They connect to the missing parts because life energy. He can only replace stuff and not do full on healing like Josuke can.

I really like that though.
Hermes and Anasui's stands required deep and quick thinking if they wanted to use them to their full potential.

daiya

How the fuck did this get past an editor? Did Araki really just forget?

>Tfw I have yet to continue Part 8 since around the beetle and Rockman fights.
>Seeing snippets of stuff in this thread.
Oh baby. Should I start catching up now?

Hoooly fuck, this is seriously how this game's character select screen looks like? Jesus, there's so many of them.

Still could use a few, namely Risotto, Sandman and Hot Pants

>I'm going to be a GangSTAR, believe it!

>hitting those things reflects the damage on you
>you get slowed down if he punches you

he only uses those once anyway so who cares

muh resolve

>he refuses to change the sentence structure around a little bit to make it flow better so a lot of dialogue feels stilted.

>At my house, 'Jousuke' just...
>Killed Damo Tamaki

I'm not claiming to be localiser of the year, but you can make this sound like someone's actually speaking with something as simple as

"Josuke just killed Damo Tamaki outside my house..."

The page break makes it a little awkard but it's a lot more natural sounding than what they went with.

I don't know if Araki has ever talked about Anasui suddenly becoming a man, but it's more than likely just a design change. Probably the most dramatic one in the series, though.

I forget how the slow down punch works, I think it's basically an adrenaline shot that causes your body to go faster than your mind, which messes up your perspective of time and whatnot.

As for the healing, I think he transforms objects while they're on a person and reform what was destroyed, kinda like stem cells.

At the end of the day though, Bruno is the better character and the true protagonist of Part V.

GE does make senses, it just has it's slow down ability and damage reflector thrown away after their first use for no reason. What don't you understand about the healing, you explained it yourself, he turns objects into body parts to fill in for any body parts that were damaged or lost. His "I have a dream" stuff is kind of dumb, but his character is that he's trying to impress the other members of the gang by being his ideal image of a gangster, which involves all of these grandiose speeches. Araki was somewhat self aware about it though, mist says "Oh God, there he goes again" or something like that when Giorno is starting off on one of his speeches.

Araki doesn't actually forget stuff like that, it's a meme. He was changed for unknown reasons. There's a rumour that it was because the editors didn't think having a lesbian character desperately trying to get into the main heroine's pants at all times during important scenes was going to appeal to the audience (Japanese boys are fucking weird) so Araki just made him a man and kept the rest the same.

Yes, it's gotten REALLY good. Beetle Dad is practically confirmed as the main villain now and Araki keeps waving it around in our faces and not outright confirming it every chapter. It's also gotten really good and the three arcs after the beetle one have been god tier in their own ways.

Definitely. One of the most recent arcs was one of the best arcs in the entirety of JoJo.

Polnareff has easily the most character development in the entire fucking series. What are you smoking pal?

He's too self-aware and lucid to be autistic.

Dude's just a high-functioning maniac.

>Tfw normies start to use jojo poses for marketing
REEEEE

>There's a rumour that it was because the editors didn't think having a lesbian character desperately trying to get into the main heroine's pants
We don't know if Anasui was even meant to be that way when he was originally a woman. I hate that rumour with a passion because of that guy who spams lesbian shit in the Cred Forums threads and hates Araki for not featuring a lesbian relationship in his manga (despite doing exactly that with Scarlet Valentine and Lucy in the next part).

I agree, just thought I'd mention it.

Johnny has better character development.

No one has. Good.

wouldn't you?

you might as well get ready now for 3D horses with a shitty scrolling 3d background.

>implying Jojo was the first series to have muscular men striking poses

And Timp Sharon predates Hol Horse by at least two years.

Yeah, he really came out of his shell

...

There's also the fact that JoJo takes huge inspiration from fashion itself.

90% of fights could be resolved if multiple people attacked the enemy at the same time. Instead they talk and stand around while its one on one.

my favorite is Part 4's final fight, Jotaro and co. are literally around the corner

Should I get this game?

What does it play more like? A street fighter or VS. game or Guilty Gear or what?

DIO and Killer queen?

I've heard it's really bad, unless you're a JoJo fan. It's more like that J-Stars Victory VS game than a traditional fighter.

Giorno's power is to "give life to things".

It's a pretty broad power. He can give life to inanimate objects to create life and when he gives life to a human they feel slowed. This life that he creates extends from animals to plants and later, to cells and body parts as well. He "heals" people by turning inanimate objects into body parts and putting them into a person.

For example, he heals his eyes by crafting another eye from his pendant and shoves it into the eye socket. He also heals Mista by turning the bullets in his body into blood cells and other organic body parts.

Oh wait. Is this the PS4 one?

I meant the PS3 fighter. All star battle.

That's more like a traditional fighter, but it's still not very good unless you're a fan of the series it's based on. By that, I mean that it's not that good of a game, but the fanservice is great.

Music and fashion are Jojo's two biggest inspirations, but it had the most influence on the latter what with the Gucci advertisements.

A large group taking on a single person isn't very interesting unless the single individual is super-powerful. Considering that it was the villains who were weak and half the main cast that had powerful Stands, it would've gotten old quick. Besides, the best Stand fights are the ones where the protag can't fight directly.

Eyes of Heaven. Don't get it, it's a terrible game. It's an open-arena fighter and its main issue is that all your attacks have a cool-down period. All Star Battle and Heritage to the Future are better and both play like traditional fighter games. Or if you want to play an open-arena fighter, J-Stars has Jonathan and Joseph Joestar as playable characters.

>Part 4's final fight
Got that was a shitfest
Hayato acting like he has 30 years of experience on a bombsquad and specializing in Killer Queen
Kira not noticing the fucking difference between his own dad's voice and Josuke's

It was by DESIGN!!!

Seriously though, the smaller stakes and ambitions of Part 4 make it the most personable of the arcs outside of Part 7 that eased readers into the heads and lives of Johnny and Gyro before it went full tilt gonzo.

Despite his size and glamour, Josuke acts like a real teenager and serial killer salaryman Kira is a much easier entity to regard than his other villainous peers who range from inhuman demigods to people with ridiculously contrived backstories.

>Giorno is Dio's son, dio means god in Italian, Giorno is the son of god
>Giorno fights Diavolo which means devil in Italian, the son of god fihts the devil
>when Polnareff meets Dio he tries to go up a set of stairs to approach him (get close to god) but Dio puts him back at the bottom
>when Giorno and Bruno meet Diavolo time skips so they keep going down a set of stairs without noticing, the devil is dragging them closer

It's like poetry.

God*

I'm pretty sure it was because Josuke was whispering. Also you can mimic other people's voices believe it or not.

He's literally American Psycho man. He straight up autistically rants about his mundane daily schedule in detail.

Hayato wasn't a normal kid. He was as autistic as Jotaro when it came to knowing pointless facts that just so happened to be helpful in whatever fight they were in at the time.

>watching part 4
>scarred face guys hand stand is to erase space
>multiple times throughout the series he has to chase people
>runs after them instead of pulling them towards him with his stand

Example. On the boat with Jotaro racing towards the cruise ship to get to old man JoJo before chilli pepper. Just keep fucking swipe space and the boat would get there in 30 seconds

Or chasing after spikey headed retard with the harvest stand. Swipe him closer to yourself. OR EVEN when Killer queen guy has jotaro and koichi dead at the shoe store and they ran to help them. Fucking jump in the air and swipe swipe swipe and zoom travel to the place in no time.

Explain this bullshit.

you just blew my mind

Okuyasu is fucking retarded. That's why he never does smart things with his Stand. That's an in-universe explanation, too.

He's retarded.

I'm sure Kira would've been caught in half the time if The Hand had been given to a smarter user. Even have the Boys II Men kid win it from him. He couldn't do a worse job.

He's not very smart
If he was, the part would've ended in half the time

Okuyasu is a hot-headed idiot. He never thinks things through and only uses his Stand creatively like 3 times in the entirety of Part 4. He only won against Akira because he got a 50/50 guess right, and that was after he nearly got murdered by him.

I've seen this excuse used but I mean... He can't be THAT fucking dumb. The spikey haired dude was an actual retard and he was even able to be creative with his stand.

Is it really a character flaw or could it be that the writer just ignored it because it would solve too easily lots of story dilemmas he is setting up

Anyone have a mega link for JoJo episodes?

>could it be that the writer just ignored it because it would solve too easily lots of story dilemmas he is setting up

Yes. Same reason why Joseph doesn't use Hermit Purple to find Kira even though the whole reason he went to Morioh was to use HP to find Akira.

He is that fucking dumb. Shigechi's smarter than him. It's a character flaw that exists as a way to get around Okuyasu being overpowered, Araki has said before that he thinks it's more interesting if a characters proficiency in a fight is based on their character rather than their ability.

We don't know if that would've worked, though. HP is weird as fuck. So are a lot of Stands in Part 4, actually.

Character flaw, since even his brother told him how useless he was.

I think another part was down to the similarities with Vanilla Ice's Cream stand, so they can show Josuke taking on someone early on with a stand similiar to the endgame ones of Part 3. Same thing with Aqua Necklace's similarity to Geb.

Haha yes! I was screaming at my TV yesterday this exact thing! Use hermit purple you old fuck.

I guess its just an example of like "why doesn't superman just throw the bad guy into the sun". Because then the story wouldn't be very exciting then would it?

I don't want to spoil anything for you, but they still find out who Kira is disguised as pretty easily (seriously, it's pretty funny what happens).
