Windows 7 master race

Who else is still using Windows 7?

I know I am with no plan on ever down grading to windows 10.

Enjoy your viruses.

staying with 7 until the very end. i am just hoping and praying that by 2020 linux finally has a respectable library of games that aren't just indie games.

I barely play video games anymore anyway.

Enjoy your viruses.

I am. So are many of my friends and family members. Most of us agree that W7 is literally the end of the line for us for using MS products.

>i am just hoping and praying that by 2020 linux finally has a respectable library of games that aren't just indie games.
Tons of AAA and AA releases are already playable on Leenux thanks to ever growing Steam library. The increased interest towards Vulkan, and surprisingly also OpenGL, also should help more and more new games become less DX-locked.

ah yes, the good ol´ argument of the elders.

Sticking it out for as long as possible and its gonna be my last windows os

I bet your the same faggots who believe apples cant get viruses...

Keep believing that ya cucks.

i'm using the pirated version, it came with my pc with a 30 day only license. It sucks because i miss having a wallpaper but 2in 7 is very expensive now.

I don't know what else to use, but I don't like 8 and I've been pretty much scared off of 10.

>cucks

>tfw my pc came with w10 pre-installed

Just look up one of those many W7 Unlocker tools.
Enjoy your "legit" W7! Just disable Auto-updates for good to avoid W10 boogyman.

I bet one reason MS started pushing out Wontworks 10 on people was the super easy pirating of W7.

Stick to W7. There´s no need to get rid of it.
After it REALLY becomes obsolete, as in super seriously unusable, there´ll be a good Linux distro for your needs.

craptop? i've upgraded plenty of w10 installs to w7 lately, it seems no one wants to deal with w10

how do upgrade software

Anybody who upgraded to Win10 is a bandwagoning cuckold and Microshaft's eternal bitch. There, I said it.

I've been using 7 a year after it came out and I'm still using it. I always have my firewall off and never installed anti virus meme software. I've always had my browser settings customly monitored for any bullshit. And I can't say that I have never gotten any malicious software.

>7
I prefer windows 10. I like it much better, and after using it extensively, you realize how restricted windows 7 was with navigation, windows 10 is however restricted with settings.

Still prefer 10 though, all you have to do is just edit some files and all the botnet is gone.

Me.

8 and 10 have shitty interfaces, no thanks.

malware bites is bretty good tho

you mean downgraded

/here/

Getting it to work was a little sketchy and annoying but ayy I got it on my new comp

>cuck
>There, I said it.
cringe

Yeah, it doesn't even have a cd reader.

Malware bytes*
what the fuck

I'm still on XP

What are you going to do when windows 7 support ends in 2021?

Botnet

This is the exact same thing people said about XP. And people refused to leave Windows 98 before that. You people are all retarded.

What should be my first linux to try?

>Downgrade
>Runs better
>Boots faster
>WDDM 2.0
>Has actual support.
>More secure.

no, i just said i installed w7 not w10

Explain

>More blue screens

W10 is fine. In some ways it's more annoying but overall it performs better and has a lot of nice little features.

I don't mind the privacy that much. I use facebook which is already a millions times worse for that and i don't really care.

I prefer Win 7 interface but overall i think 10 is a pretty good OS. If you're really worried about issues like privacy and stuff you shouldn't be using windows or social media at all.

Still on Vista

Define 'respectable' and define 'indie games', Linux has actually had a good number of AAA launches and announcements recently. The main thing holding back the Deus Ex release for instance seems to be that since the Denuvo malware doesn't work on Linux they're delaying the launch till after some arbitrary anti-piracy period. I think that's a pretty good trade though, no forced malware for a short delay in the launch period.

With 8 of the top 10 games on Steam available for Linux, and close to 50 of the top 100 I'd say Linux gaming is in about as good a place as you can expect right now without lots of users dropping Windows forcing more devs to take action.

It's end of life, basically Vista-tier at this point. Software support will dry up faster and faster, just like it did with XP and is now happening to Vista.

My Desktop is Xp service pack 2

My laptop is Win 2K

I couldn't be happier

>I like to make shit up.

Hopefully Windows 10 will be a stable product and not an open beta at that point

ubuntu and mint are common for beginners. Debian if you want to really learn Linux

Point is, they dont want to upgrade, i dont either. We will just wait till it becomes better (new OS) or just stay on w7 if they keep their retarded way of thinking.

>all you have to do is just edit some files and all the botnet is gone.
Ever heard of "placebo effect"?

Zorin OS.

I wanna go back so bad. I didnt update. Just came with Windows 10. Hell id rather have Vista than 10, not even joking.

Best OS.

Literally the only blue screens I've gotten are from overclocking and once because of a GPU driver issue.

Pirated copy of 7 here, only downside is that I can't have a desktop background as it resets to a black canvas each time I turn on my computer

Come home white man

Enjoy being retarded and thinking a 2kb.exe is the same thing as 3.5MB mp4 file then blaming the OS for your ignorancex

>muh botnet
Even Cred Forums has given up on this silly meme already. If you are so convinced about it could you give some sources.

i bought mine with a ten dollar key from some wierd website. Worked out fine, so i am not complaining.

Just upgraded from XP to 7 a few months ago. Ask me anything.

What sort of retarded pirate copy is that

I have a machine still on 7, but I mostly just use 10.

Here, brother. Tried 8.1 for some time 1-2 years ago, I couldn't fucking stand it anymore, even if it is way better than 10.

kys family. Not everything is a meme. Autistic faggot.

Are you enjoying the downgrade?

>user, why don't you love me?

Windows Vista is such a superior operating system in it's sense of balance of design and elegance

>cringe

Autistic nigger

Stuck with 7 since I knew 10 would break something despite microsoft continually insisting otherwise.

Sure enough 10 comes out and I read from other posts that it breaks 2 programs I use fairly often. I'll wait until I build a new system to update.

Still on Win7 SP1 with Windows Update disabled and blocked (which actually prevented me from being able to run The Crew at first, because I shit you not, that game includes a Windows update file - it is the epitome of Ubisoft "optimization"). I was considering dual booting and running Win10 on a virtual machine to try it out, but I heard apparently it forces all games to run in borderless window mode which causes mouse latency similar to v-sync, and that is probably my biggest pet peeve in any game that requires precision so fuck that with a rusty nail.

So you have nothing to back it up. I always forget that Cred Forums is full of retards who can't think with their own head.

let me rephrase. a lot of what i'm currently playing (grim dawn, witcher 3, dragon's dogma, dark souls, doom) is not on linux and either runs poorly in wine or doesn't run at all. i didn't know deus ex was coming to linux so thats pretty awesome. do you have a list of other big name games that are suppose to get releases on linux too?

>2016
>fedora meme

No complaints since I can actually run most modern software now.

I reinstalled Win7 after trying Win10 for a few months. I got frustrated with the stupid handholding facade shit it always does.

It wants to be smart, it really does, but Cortana is a worthless piece of shit and the integrations are for things nobody wants (WiFi Sense (which got shitcanned), Bing search, Windows app store, etc). The other thing I hated was this huge disconnect in the UX/UI and now it's just Windows 8 but with some weird white-on-black shit on top. It is ugly as shit and the new UIs are horrible to use.

>greentexts the current year
>doesn't use an edit of costanza.jpg

Gonna stick with 7 even if it might mean that in the future I don't get to play most triple A games. I've been replaying Resi remake and New Vegas this week anyway, and I'm gonna replay some NWN after I'm done with these.
Aslong as I can play good old games I'm fine.

>I always forget that Cred Forums is full of retards who can't think with their own head.
lol, true that.

Bought Windows 10 Ultimate when it came out for $120

Haven't had a single problem

Poorfags and paranoid retards need not reply

you could get a keygen of tbp and fix that problem
t. thats what I did

I've seen people talk about this all the time but no ones provides a link
t. dumb with pirating

It's only the Windows 10 store games that do that. Basically Microsoft's goal is to have the benefits of both borderless and exclusive full screen mode, so maximum performance and easy alt-tabbing. Performance is about the same, AMD card get the exact same framerates in Quantum Break on both platforms so it's a good apples to apples comparison. I think RotTR performance is equal now too. I don't know about the mouse lag issue though, I played Gears and it seemed fine but the campaign's not that fast-paced. I'll have to try out halo 5 and see.

i use win10 on my laptop. It's mainly for work and multimedia. I don't really care in that instance, but my battlestation has Win7 because it is much more customizable and the setting options are better.

if I will ever get my hands on a low end laptop, I'll put XP on it. Miss that shit

Who is the qt?

Check out Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB.

How the fuck do you not know about Daz Loader? It's almost bloody 2017.

Just use daz loader

I tried Win10 but it's a clusterfuck where you can't disable automatic updates and restarts unless you're using Enterprise which is just ridiculous. Not to mention that every "feature update" is a full installation and breaks shit all the time.

Upgrading to win10 was the biggest mistake for my laptop. I'm at fucking 100% disk usage for a good 5 minutes after booting up when nothing is even going on

Never had a blue screen on W7 ever. You must be bad with operating systems.

What is the logic behind staying on windows 7 and catching viruses left and right?

Or holding out until Win11 (which will be worst than Win10) comes out?

You people are weirdos.

Windows 7 is supported until 2020 you dopey fuck, which means security patches up until that point.

Not catching viruses and not moving from it till, something better than w7 comes thats all. You are the weird one accepting whats being shoved to you just because they said it was either free or an upgrade.

Get w10 out of that laptop. Or at least disable the energy saving function that spins the disk down. Not only the disk writes for minutes but it also stops and restarts until the fucking hard disk dies. With 7 I never had such issues, after some tweaking with the system and firefox

Upgraded to Windows 10 for the XBone and W10 exclusive games. Enjoying Recore and waiting for Dead Rising 4.

Win10 updates only occur when you're inactive or you click the update button.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. Installing the OS on an SSD is basically mandatory. Windows 10 doesn't like being on an HDD for some reason.

>Viruses
fucking underage or bait

I have win7
it works perfectly fine for me

Which versions of Linux have the best line of games working on it?

youtu.be/jn1CyDq4L_Y
Remember, all of the OS's were little girls growing up to be inspiring adults and Microsoft kills them before they could even reach teenage years.

And now they are allowing the deformed retarded one to live.

We won't see any W11. W10 is here to stay. And no, it's pretty much a non-existent problem. If anything I'll just main linux when the extended support ends.

Anyone who updates windows is an idiot

If you have to ask, install Mint Debian Edition.

gamingonlinux.com/index.php?module=calendar
Gaming on Linux maintains this calendar, but a lot of it is guess work based on announcements which unfortunately a lot of companies still seem to use to generate buzz without ever actually making any effort to bring games to Linux.

CDPR released Witcher 2 for Linux a while back and announced Witcher 3 as coming to Linux before it launched but there's been no news more recently with the speculation being that either they're waiting for a Vulkan based re-release, or Microsoft paid them off to make it Windows-only. Street Fighter 5 seems to be in the same situation and now that they've added additional malware to the Windows release a Linux version may not actually happen despite Capcom's statements earlier this year.

2k, SquareEnix, Paradox, Deep Silver, Valve, seem to be the most reliable on delivering Linux games so far. Sega has dabbled in Linux releases, but so far its only games in two series that have been ported.
