Its not going to make the same amount of sales as souls games because japanese shit everywhere. But it will be just as fun

no. The combact doesn't have nearly as much weight and enemies looks like mobs from a low budget korean mmo

If you like gay shit for retarded faggots, yes.

...

I like Japanese medieval period and I really like the combat so far.
But
>Shit level design
>Meh aesthetic
>Shit enemy design
>No real magic
>Since the setting is limited to Japan, western weapons will never be seen
>Doesn't really try to cover the fact that it ripped off some core aspects from a soul game

im not judging everything until the game comes out. Hopefully they make magic more interesting in the next 5 months

It's already more fun.

I enjoyed the Alpha and Beta more than Souls 3.

>The combact doesn't have nearly as much weight

Yea but it has actual gameplay depth.

> I enjoyed the Alpha and Beta more than Souls 3.

is it true that some people played the beta demo for more than 40 hours?

it doesn't really matter. You can have 20 differents attacks but if none of them feel good there's really no point.

...

>outright wrong
>debatable
>also wrong
>magic has always been shit for babies who cares
>true
>also true

Probably, I spent around 20 hours and by that point I had the best of everything you could in it. I didn't try to master some of the bosses though.

It does feel good though, too bad for you senpai.

I played it for 7. To get all sets.
Maybe people made multiple characters with different primary builds.

the 20 different attacks you had in the beta were not the full array of attacks you will have in the full game.
The fight with the dude with Raiken at the end has most if not all of the moves you can learn from a Single handed katana.

I don't know about beta only but I think I've got 20 hours on each demo. Maybe more.

how much do they pay you to spam these webms every chance you get?

...

So far? it's ridiculously better than a souls game

The point was precisely that the number of attacks is merely irrelevant. People have been using frostbolt for 12 years because it has always felt satisfying. The combact here feels floaty and weightless.

its better that he does it in a nioh thread rather than annoy souls babbies

At least he's posting them in a nioh thread.

how are you guys dealing with the withdrawal symptoms from the demo ?

I don't know but I am very excited for it.

I hope not, I want something different

what makes you say that user?

To you maybe.

I'm actually enjoying going back through and re playing through all its obvious influences for the first time in a decade (I've taken my PS2 and OG Xbox out of storage for the first time in years). I'd honestly forgotten how fun the first three Onimushas were (And how good the soundtracks were, Goddamn). Gonna go through Genji next week and my girlfriend and I are gonna watch James Clavell's Shogun in the week up until release.

I'm managing. It's still gonna be a looong 5 months.

If there is no Okatana or Odachi I will be very upset.

ill be upset if there isnt a kusarigama

I started playing NGB and it's one of the best games I've played.

Make sure to play this as well if you haven't already!

The depth of combat, the weapon variety, the not having to make a new character to try a new setup , the boss fights, the animations, the theme, the ost, from what I've seen it does that all better than souls, I'd say only bloodborne beats it out in theme and ost, but that game can't hold 30 fps

Need more weapons from Ninja Gaiden.

Tonfa, Nunchaku, and Kusarigama.

i couldnt get into onimusha for some reason. loving ninja gaiden 2 (xbox 360)

Yeah they definitely need to update magic and make it more useful
There are no damage dealing magics other than pic related and though its the single highest damage ability in the game it costs all your familiarity and is a 1 use talisman that takes most of your Magic points to equip

>enough stamina to dodge 7 times then kill the mini boss with 5 hits

overleveled bullshit

Maybe give the original Genji on the PS2 a try? It shed a lot of Onimusha's RE influence and played it more straight in the DMC/NG vein.

ill definitely check it out

souls games are the worst. everyone knows this

Was Nue in the latest demo? Did they fix being able to stunlock it to death?

no nue was not in the beta demo. instead we got hino-enma

Nah, the beta demo got a different second stage.

They've added counters for some of the bosses when they're out of stamina, so you can't be quite as trigger-happy as you were in the Alpha.
