Being overleveled was intentional and integral to the story.

The only way it could be a inferior game to the original is if the story was the utmost trash.
The gameplay is already confirmed better than the first game.
Because at best the first games gameplay was "serviceable". Platinum does better than serviceable on all it's games. Even in it's worst games.

gameplay might be improved but that really doesn't matter to me if the music, characters, and story are bad. those are what made people like the original nier and if they aren't in the sequel its just another platinum game.

There is no reason to believe the dates aren't the same. The team has said multiple times that they were aiming for a world-wide release. Look out for PGW; if they don't reveal English voice-acting and a date there, then begin to worry.

Truthfully, I have been enjoying what I've heard. They haven't released a lot of tracks which is good l, I guess. Better to experience them when the game comes out. It's just that the original Nier had such an amazing soundtrack, it seems high impossible to beat.

All that scene requires is some AO and a bit of improved shading which the PC version will have. I agree that does look bad though, strange since the rest of the game looks great.

The story and characters were good, the actual gameplay not so much. Can't deny this man.

I liked the variety in weapons, spells, and enemies. Not much in the way of combos, but I liked the way you interact with enemies anyway. I don't mind a bit of repetition when the game feel is that strong.
