This is right BUT the skill level and DPS output in Mhach has utterly plummeted since 3.4 it seems. It's really bad.

We tried looking for 2 dps for a A9S PF last night but no one bit. From the way it looks it's even more simpler than Sophia when groups can beat the fight before any new mechanic is introduced.

They should have nerfed Ozma when it went out of lockout.

Just make your own farm party and be strict about kicking people who cannot stop fucking up.

Shit man, even if someone fucks up bigtime it's not hard to clear. I did 10 runs earlier with a new tank who died like 2-3 times every fight, and we only wiped once when we accidentally called out a wrong position. As long as you have a healer and a tank, you can recover from almost anything, especially with healer lb3.

When I'm healing and there's several dead players, my priority is

Tank (we're probably dead at that point anyway though) > Heal > Summoner > Other DPS

If that Summoner doesn't ever even try to res someone else it's anyone but them.

DRG gear 100% is weighted higher than all other gear

Since I "main" a dps job, I wanted to try and keep a healer and tank somewhat geared so I have all my bases covered. Though I can't decide which tank to choose from between DRK and PLD. PLD is more beginner friendly, but there's the whole "lel no damage" meme with the job. DRK can do damage, but the job as a whole seems like a resource management nightmare. And I won't go WAR because I don't like their AOE aggro tool being tied to TP instead of MP.

Absolutely not. They always make it easier for newer players to catch up with things like dungeon roulettes for veteran players that instance us with them.

With obviously more than six months or so to the next expansion, you can EASILY catch up. I did the same thing two months before Heavensward even launched and caught up just in time.

Not gonna lie the first time I did Ozma I completely forgot about the bleed as healer and the SCH had to do it. Was very sad.

WAR uses MP too since you should have flash set, it's also one of the most fun jobs in the game along with SCH.

Doing it with friends seems to increase my personal RNG of getting shit that normally never drops. You should try it

Pick PLD its much more desirable in savage raids than a DRK.

I mean technically, yes, but WARs barely use Flash since they have Overpower, which is a lot more useful. The only time WARs tend to use flash is when they run out of TP, or if they're pacified.

I can't stand drk, but that's me. Managing mana is not worth it.
You can learn flash from pld and use that for aoe aggro as war

DRK resource management gets boring as fuck after a while in my experience. It's very limiting and forces you to do the same thing over and over.

Flash is useful for when trash packs spawns or are clumped in a way it's faster to flash in the middle of them or when you're going to need to use two overpowers for just two mobs or something.

I get hype as fuck when the healer dies and the fight turns into a true dps race mixed with your understanding of cds/fight mechanics. Normies just don't get it man.

Managing mana isn't really hard as DRK. You either tank a shitton of mobs, where you pop Blood Price and spam all your shit because you have infinite mana, or you just spam your Delirium combo with the occassional Soul Eater combo when your mana is somewhat high. Well and there's one Carve and Spit every minute, but that's not too crazy either.

It's much easier than it looks if you're no one of those people who have to spam Soul Eater every single fucking combo, dropping Darkside and wondering why half their skills don't work anymore.

Also WAR's AoE being tied to TP isn't too big of a deal, you just switch to Deliverance one in a while and pop your 200TP/min skill. You generally don't even spam Overpower that much unless you're pulling half the dungeon at once.

it hits for 13k. That's it.
In savage it hits for 3 hits of 21k.

Healers and dps love to die against Gubal first boss for some reason, any war can solo it, always have fun doing it.

Finally finished ARR MSQ and arrived at Ishgard. What is the best way to level a level 30 AST? Spamming PotD?

Dungeons are faster for healers and tanks, but PotD is still pretty fast.

I never get tunnel vision when I heal, I just see the health in the corner of my eye. Not only that, but I can easily check the health during casts. Healers have it the easiest when it comes to situational awareness, while the DPS have it the worst.

there's literally no reason to, cross class skills are so situational or the cooldowns are so long they barely make an impact, so they can never make up for what you lose on your job, especially at 60. the only time it was even slightly viable was MRD used to be able to do more burst damage than WAR with a bunch of dps cross class skills, which was pretty much only useful in pvp, but they added a flat buff to just having a job crystal so that doesn't work anymore.

If you're a poorfag you definitely want the 1line reward, since that's like a million gil a week selling the crafter/gatherer V.

2 line isn't worth wasting time trying to get though, and 3 is just a plain lottery like cactpot. IMO once you see a 1line reward just lock that in/stop rerolling for the week and cash out.

Make it so that instead of being permanent, Egis are summoned for X seconds during which they slap your enemies shit in. Also make them bigger and cooler.
Make every Egi have it's own usefulness. For example Ifrit applies vulnerability on enemies while Titan gives a defense buff to allies.
That way instead of just having one Egi for the entire fight you have to summon several ones throughout the entire encounter to try and optimize your allies DPS or mitigate incoming damage.

Actually, the original design for Summoner had them as void mages summoning the lesser-known summons from the series from the void. They would've used things like Cait Sith, Mindflayer, Shoat, etc. But people wanted to summon Ifrit and Shiva so they caved in.

A12 is really a healer check, so much stuff that brings your whole party down to 15% hp and tank busters that will kill if your tank is even missing a tiny bit of health

It lets you watch a second target. Good for keeping an eye on boss cast bars for healers , and pretty much necessary for dodging an attack in A11
