Why don't any NX mockups use the DS clamshell design? it makes a lot more sense, it's a tried and tested design, keeps it portable with or without the controller attached, protects the screen and it means you'd only need 1 port on the bottom for the controller and console dock rather than 3 ports to attach the controller to the sides

A little rumble is nothing for a gyrometer. And with an accelerometer the directional shakes even themselves out.

Remember sixaxis? They said they can't put rumble in it because of that reason. Seems like they found a solution in dualshock3 onwards.

I think it looks alright for the Wii U, but even if you kept the art style, it would obviously benefit from increased draw distance, more objects (trees, etc), better shadows, some AA, and shader enhancements.

Impossible unless you want to hear the disc drive spinning all the time and textures popping in everywhere. Games are much more complex now and need to load a lot of assets in at once, Blu-Ray drives just aren't fast enough.

It's why GTA5 absolutely had to be installed on both consoles because it needed to read from the hard drive and the disc drive at the same time.
