I'll probably stop watching JoJo once part 4 is over.

Part 4 is really showing me that JoJo is still just typical anime.

Long, and drawn out for no real reason. Kira should've been introduced way earlier, and should've been a central plot element but instead it's bullshit monster of the week. Then Kira gets introduced and almost immediately trashed, but that's not good enough so they keep it going for another 20 episodes.

Say what you want about Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, but they were pretty damn well to the point. Stardust Crusaders dragged on and was very repetitive. Diamond is unbreakable is shaping up to be very similar to Part 3.

I somewhat agree that Parts 3-6 get a bit too Monster of the Week sometimes. But that doesn't mean they're bad, it's just the structure Araki chose to tell them in. If it makes you feel better, SBR and Jojolion balance stand battles with the main plot much better.

If the monster of the week argument is your main complain, may as well drop it now. Even until part 8 it keeps the formula of monster of the week, except that the stands become increasingly weirder/broken, and you're left wondering how are they going to use their weird ass powers to defeat other weird ass powers. Mainly-punch-ghosts become practically irrelevant in the later parts, unless they happen to also have a second broken power.
