I don't know if I'm up for this equipment grind.

The game is easy mode if you dump 4 points into strength then alternate the 1 leftover point to AGI or LUCK.
You need more AGI than your demons because why wouldn't you want to lead, and luck is too good for multi hit skills.
Once you reach 200 strength you can chill out on strength for a bit and put tone it down to 3 per level to focus a bit more on LUCK.
You can also just keep doing 4 strength per level so you can reach 400 sooner.

Seeing these two images, there's one thing so far that kinda irks me about Apocalypse: you no longer have the "end talks" option when negotiating for recruitment. While in SMT4, the golden method of recruitment was "give them what they want twice, maybe refuse once if they demand something stupid, then end talks", what you have now is a negotiation where the demons can just keep making demands and I often have no choice but to deny them repeatedly or otherwise I end up giving them far more than I intended to/than they're worth. I'm still early in the game and actually haven't had very many failed negotiations yet due to demons not getting enough/getting everything and laughing at me for being a generous dumbass, but it's still really stressful compared to how it was before, and sort of a step back into the randomness of Nocturne.

Can you fundraise bosses in Apoc like you could in IV?

Your build isn't particularly bad, you just need some phys skills and maybe some elemental skills. Get rid of Tetrakarn and Makarakarn, those are for your demons while you do crazy damage.

I got a lot of demon negotiation ones like Scout+ and Fundraise, along with Demon Charmer. I also got an extra skill slot for demons and the level recovery one. Demon stock also seemed good so I can keep fusing things, so I got those too.

The fuck happened with the special fusions? There are so few of them I often blow past them in levels before I go on a fusion update. Then outside of a few they dont feel very special. In fact more often than not they are out classed by other demons in their level range.

They just feel pointless now. In past SMT games I would have specials around for next to ever before fusing them away because it was moderately hard to get them and they felt special they were powerful. Now I think Alice lasted me the longest at 5 levels.

Humanity as whole now despises him, and thanks to the power of "observation" he change to a form more appropriate to that.

Not sure, I never bother with it since you get Pierce all late game but the wiki stated it as non whisperable skill. I think it ran off Strength now since it is fixed (and Demoneeho has higher Str than Dex).

So you might need to rely more on elemental bullet to get pass bosses that resist gun until you get that power up late game

Its even worse when you enter a fight and you just know the only point to it is to waste your resources for the real fight. Then you get to the real fight which is pretty fucking fun then WOW another pointless fight!

They should instead make fights that are fun and difficult rather than this resource wasting shit. Its not even a problem because there are so many MP items everywhere. One dedicated heal bot and a few MP items or souls steal and it completely invalidates these fights.

Give me more multi stage fights where the boss flips shit around mid fight to throw you off. Like a phys demon suddenly going mag. Or a demon that removes its own weakness and turns it into a repeal.

The Great Will isn't really powerful at all. Until it touched Stephens mind it couldn't even act in the world. It is primarily an observer. That's why its said the Stephen is breaking the rules by interfering. He is not supposed to do anything at all. It isn't until after a timeline fails that he has any real power shown in the DLC where he tests the failed messiahs. He can only truly guide and inform now that his humanity is gone. It was only in that brief moment after the Great Will touched his mind and he was still human that he could create the demon summoning program and set the timelines up to give humanity the best possible chance at surviving.

It's LOW heavy hits, not normal heavy hits like berserker god or something.
Akasha arts is also more reliable like the other user said, but multi hit moves will always be lower damage.

For example, Matador's andalusia is marked as a heavy dealing phys move but with 400 strength each hit only does 150 damage on average.
My nanashi's akasha arts outdamages that in one turn.

Its the first real boss in the game (well King Frost is first but he's not that hard)

And if you don't shuffle demon a lot you probably won't have Media at that point. His AOE spells are painful
