True Doom 3.

Is Doom64EX good?

i didn't even know they released Doom 5 - 63

yes, I played through the whole game with it

really good

It rips all of the data straight from a Doom 64 ROM so it's a 1:1 recreation of the base game.

In other words, yeah.

good game

i just recorded a full playthrough on hardest mode

was a fuckin blast

I'm glad this game has developed a cult following. I had so much fun with it back in the day.

I feel like they really took some risks going with the dark, oppressive atmosphere with ambient music instead of the Doom atmosphere we were all used to.

The double-barreled shotgun is probably my favorite shotgun in any game, despite the strange reload animation. Killing a pinky in close range with it just sounds so incredibly satisfying.

doom 64 is my favorite

fight me

or dont, I will love it either way.

it was also my first doom and spooked me good when younger

Great game, great monsters, great level design, great music.

Just great.

look what happens when a game is actually just universally considered good.

the poor thread just dies with no attention.

No shit, there's nothing to talk about.

>hey remember this game
>yeah it was pretty good
>i think it was good too
>...

i love you guys, have yourselves a great night

Doom > Doom 64 > Doom II > DOOM > Doom 3

A mistake

very

>atmosphere spookier than the first two
>music goes for an ambient approach rather than scary music and badass music, with somber and and desolate tones
it's pretty fucking great
>mfw baby cries out of fucking nowhere
lack of revenants and archviles was for the good i think, at least the latter

everything about this game is great BUT the level design, and some of the re-designs of the demons look dumb

too much of "press a button and run around like an idiot until you find what did change"

Doom on the Jaguar.

I kind of liked it. There are a fuck ton of secrets and made it feel like trying to solve a puzzle. I'm sure theres still secrets in some levels I still have yet to find (and I have never looked up where they are for this game for some stubborn reason)

The soundtrack was absolutely incredible. I honestly can't put it above the original Doom but it's definitely a close second.

>Can't handle spooky games
>Original Doom spooked me as a kid, but still played/beat it
>Rented Doom 64
>So spooked I couldn't continue.

This October man. I'll finish Silent Hill and move onto Doom 64. No spooks, no more.

Doom on the Jaguar.

that's a big cat

Second best Doom.

I think PS1 Doom has spookier music.

H-H-H-HELP
ME

Original is my favorite but I'll always love 64. I only ever played this and Final Doom on PSX until I got a PC, so I assumed Doom always had spooky music and was always dimly lit.

Did you upload it anywhere? If so can I have a link? I'd love to see that.

Even though they're made by the same guy, I never really found PS1 Doom's music all that creepy.

...

The composure turned everyday activities and random shit into these gloomy tracks; this one being a match of table tennis. There's another PS1 track that's nothing more than the slowed down buzzing of a bee trapped in a jar.

DANY WON
hey

Are they playing ping pong in the background or some shit?

Yes.

That good ol' feeling when it's canon to nu Doom, as they're all tied together through multimeter shite.
