He's not bad, but just isn't fun. Swain is my favorite champ and I have less fun with him now than I did back in season four.

He will always be somewhat crippled by his base stats. He has in my opinion one of the absolute worst auto attacks for last hitting among any solo laner in the game. Combine that with his high mana costs and you're forced to play really awkwardly early game.

You basically have to get Rod of Ages first which slows down what you might want to build. He is one of those characters that forces you to build certain items every single game which can be extremely boring especially when there are other things you might want. For example, against a heavy AP comp you'd love to rush spirit visage, but you'll really screw yourself over if you dont get mana items early on him. I hate how rigid League is in general, but cases like this where you HAVE to get certain expensive items first is the absolute worst.

That being said you can still do really well with him. He's a solid character. He's better suited to top these days, which is a little lame imo as I would much rather have him mid. He has shitty gank potential with TP, his push is mediocre, and he's easy to gank so having him top always makes me feel nervous the whole time.

Yeah after they changed him up and nerfed him, they left his ult at a fucking twenty second cooldown at all levels. It's awful especially since you rarely can afford to build much CDR on him. It means if you use it in lane to poke or clear the wave and deactivate it you're basically a walking target for nearly half a minute.

The point of his ult should be to constantly toggle it off and on when you need to. Five or ten second cooldown is fine, but twenty is just stupid.

You'll be happy to know that Rumble is basically 100% pick ban rate in Worlds right now too. They refuse to do anything about the character despite him being so retarded.

He was awhile ago I believe, but honestly I think the Victorious skins are best given to characters that had a big impact on the meta the whole season. Characters like Rek'sai, Zac, Ekko (as much as I fucking hate this character), Rumble, Syndra, etc... have been much more relevant.

Depends what elo you're playing at. Sometimes with a buddy I duo with we would take Yi bot as the ADC and I would play a support that can get him kills and keep him from dying. People would always try to counterpick the Yi assuming he was going jungle and then we would wreck bot lane all day because they have no idea how to deal with it

The problem with Urgot from a design point of view, which Riot tries to get their champ rework done is that Urgot is just Sion with a different method.
Two strong Noxian warriors, Sion being a in your face warrior. Urgot being a hunter. Yet both died in combat and both are animated corpses. They bought back Sion with some ritual. Urgot by stuffing is corpse with chemicals and replace the legs with mech spider legs.

I miss the Journal of Justice, it was fun to read what the champs get up to on their off hours

I think they only did that once by saying Darius' axe was getting really dull, but small tidbits like that are pretty nice.

The lore was goofy and the champs were basically celebrities athletes but at least it made sense with what they were working with. You can't tell a real story in a MOBA but Riot knew the constraints and came close.

Now all we get is the beginning of lore with no real meat or conclusion to anyone's stories. Remember that whole Freljord war? Neither does Riot. At least Iona vs Noxus, the Crystal Scar, and Swain's rise to power all had stories that concluded.
