Anybody who says Skyrim is boring has not installed Requiem. I cannot imagine playing Skyrim again without it. It's a little bit on the trickier side to install (LOOT doesn't work without user configuration) but the end result is definitely worth it: non-leveled lists, which means no enemy nor LOOT scaling, meaningful perks this meaningful playstyles, combat being fucking amazing, endgame content (Soul Cairn, Labyrinthian, Skuldafn and Sovngarde /will/ fuck you up), even the Divines are overhauled. Get it, you won't regret it.

Are there any mods that make the Imperial City bigger? Not just fancier, but an actual expansion. I always felt like the game would have been so much better if they just poured all their effort into the fuckin' capital city of the Empire, so you could get lost in it for a day or two just because it's so massive.

Without adding a LOT of handplaced new items, removing level scaling in Skyrim is meaningless. Even if you find a dungeon you can't beat, you have zero incentive to ever go back due to the worthless nature of all randomized loot. Every enchantment and armor piece is reproduceable and worse than what you'd make yourself with even mediocre skills.

Requiem is just one of those "we made everything from combat to walking around hard and tedious" mods that didn't try to fix the core issues with Skyrim because of the conflict-riddled undertaking that it would be.

I did, it has the correct load order and everything. It did work at one point in time but After spending hours learning mod orginizer and hours more loading up some noice graphics mods and shit I burnt myself out on trying to mod and fix it. I just enjoy my naked argonian.

Its core gameplay and world design are shit. There's no getting around it. It's a shame that ESO sucks so much too for slightly different reasons. I quit pretty early on from a combination of 3 things:

Morrowind has the absolute best art made of it. I really like imagining People using Silt Striders as faires, putting tarps over them to keep the rain off. I've spent easily over 150h just modding the game, with gameplay, content, immersion, graphics mods, no porn faggotry. And after 800h spent playing, Skyrim is literally my own 10/10 masterpiece.

You have to see what you dislike about the game, and fix it, not just add mods on top of other mods without thought. And you have to use mod organizer, you have to know how to merge mods, how to clean them, how to clean the save files, how to run ordenador, how to tweak the .ini files.

If you just copy paste a few mods in the data folder, it'll crash.

Yep, that's the problem. You needed to actually read what people told you, and check your journal for important information. There's a really easy menu in the journal that will just show you all your quests, and if you pick a highlighted word in the journal it can give you specifics. Also, just stick to the road, and follows the road signs so you don't get lost. It's not hard. It just doesn't hold your hand. And I personally really love that.

I tried to make it more interesting, I really did. There's only so much you can do to make the quests more varied, or the combat less awful. Atmospherically, the games great, and I can feel it trying to pull me in, but the knowledge of exactly HOW much better the game could be if it was handled by any other developer than Bethesda always prevents that full immersion.

Same. Even when I have no load order conflicts, missing masters, or other shit, it still finds a way to crash somehow. I never had this problem with Morrowind, Oblivion, or any of the Fallout games. Just Skyrim.

Mostly dark, I wanted to capture a poorly lit medieval feeling. Even if it's not realistic I think it looks nice and it gives the game a unique feeling.
When you enter an inn the parts furthermost from the fire are just almost compeltely dark, the rooms, nooks and crannies all have this dark yet comfortable feeling to them. Since the darkness is non tinted it's not blue or yellowish, thus giving it a very neutral look.

I find it odd how the window is orange, yet it emits a white/almost blue-ish light, instead of, y'know, orange.

It's because the first 3 hours are really samey. Pretty much no matter what race you start, you're going to be some weak bitch with nothing special about you. Your spells and attacks are mediocre, you don't have enough magicka or stamina to do anything, and it takes like 15 levels to become good at just one thing.

"Better Cities" mostly does this, it gives the option to re-do all the cities in oblivion but you can pick and choose which ones you want. It's a bitch to get working and a memory hog but it makes the cities so much better.

For the Imperial city it doesn't add any expansions to the outside but it adds an underground level which makes the city twice as big.
