it can get quite repetitive, the enemies doesn't really have a large panel of moveset so they just all advance toward you just to melee, and it's pretty much "beat XXX monsters to continue" in an arena map.
it's really just fun in very short burst, which is adapted for the vita, but on pc it's another thing.

One of the biggest reasons I could think of for it being considered not a mainline is that, as far as I remember, they confirmed that the MC would be a new character or something. Whether that ends up being the next Plutia/Uzume or just another bland self-insert, or maybe even a Create-a-character, will make or break that.
Personally, I don't mind if it'll be a mainline title or spinoff, I just hope it's better than Tamsoft's previous attempts with the Neps.

Wait, what's wrong with PP? I thought it was a good raising sim. Unbelievably easy, sure, but it had a lot of events for each girl. It was great seeing Vert so much limelight for example. I wish concerts were something more engaging than being the camera man, especially since concerts are literally spin to win. Just spin your joystick thing and rack up those points. Still, the best parts of Neptunia have always been the girls and their antics, and PP delivers that in spades.
Well I don't consider Resident Evil Remake a spinoff even with the added plotelements. I feel the same way about these games.

Idea Factory International opened around sept 2013. The game came out in japan around october 2013. It's close enough to believe Nisa secured rights to publish it before Idea Factory opened their western branch. Hence Fairy Fencer F has the nisa logo.

Yeah, pretty much all of that. If they choose to go with an SI MC again, at least improve the dating sim choices/events a bit as well. It sucked that everything just vanished after 100% heart except for the ending changing. But an extra mode where we can pick any character to produce any other would be pretty fun, and offer a ton of character interaction to go on.

Kurome was fine, how the game handled her was not. They shouldn't have split the game up in parts like they did and should have stretched out the very end a bit longer. The climax was handled almost as badly as the NEXT Forms
It's more like CH wanted to make 2 games, but they decided to just forcibly stitch the Gold Third into the epic of Uzume and call it a day when they realized that the Gold third themselves aren't enough material to work with.

The whole middle part of the game felt like a filler. Gameplay-wise I hated running with 2-3 characters in a party, especially when none of them happen to have any powerful AOE abilities.

Actually, 30 hours is a bit of understatement. After first 5 or so I gave up and wrote a script that used casted the buffs repeatedly. One of the most retarded achievements I've ever seen and it's coming from someone who 100%'d every single Nep game.

Not really, it took me around 26h if I remember right.
Anyways, the only annoying thing in HDN1 is the trophy that requires you to 100% the Bestiary and Events list since there's a bunch of things that are missable. You have to do 2 playthroughs anyways though and it's easy enough to watch out for them on your 2nd run through.

I did it while working through my backlog of shows so I probably lost maybe 2-3 hours total as far as efficiency goes when I was slightly distracted, but there isn't really much to it you can optimize. It's literally just save the couple characters that don't have self buffs for last and then do those by spamming their debuffs on a turret.

story mode has some decent gags but the plot and combat stages are pretty bad. plot is kind of all over the place and 'bad on purpose', a lot of stages are 10 seconds long and pose no challenge.
the real meat of the game is the multiplayer stages where you have to fight giant bosses. you can solo them, but they become a bit better with other players helping out. its ok, but itll never be as good as monhun.
It improves a lot on NepU but it's still not really "good". It has an actual leveling/upgrade system and gear has a lot more depth to it (still not all that much though). The multiplayer is pretty fun if you can find people to play with too. The story is pretty hit or miss, it's mostly about making fun of trashy B movie cliches and zombie games

I'm surprised when i hear people reacting negatively to it. it's funny as fuck and has a lot of charming character interactions. the real weakness of it is that there aren't more scenes
yet the same people that bitch about mk2 being too serious complain that it's a silly game.
A lot of the gags just weren't funny to me. I'm not particularly fond of zombies or b movies tho so that's probably kind of to be expected.

I think the main issue is the side questing in Nep games. You take on a few quests and maybe in the process find some weapons and now you're completely OP. HDN could have been challenging if it wasn't for Neptune Break but then again the RNG healing skills were already a pain in the ass.
