KC:D is an outstanding game but its budget limit shows. The game runs like ass, character animations are kind of shit in dialogue, deadpan faces, considerably shorter range of activities (basically every side quest is a fetch quest of some sorts with no twists and turns).

Witcher 3 was absolutely beautiful game, especially toussaint. And not only the world itself, character models, armor, weapons, everything was on point, except gameplay.

Kingdom Come Deliverance thus far is fun as fuck and the environments look just as good as Witcher 3, if not better at times, but then again, there's tons of pop-in, graphical glitches etc to break immersion. Also, character models at time can look goofy but they have fairly high quality to them as well, lipsync is just bad in comparison to Witcher.
Witcher 3 quality-wise is on a whole another level, there was barely any glitches, the world was seamless, no pop-in or other problems in the environment, the writing was great and side missions were all unique, but the combat was boring, I played it mostly for the story, bossfights were the only fun combat parts.
KCD's gameplay is tons of fun, the combat, character developement, activities, it's all a perfect blend, the weakest part thus far is the story and the glitchy nature of the game which breaks immersion.

Remember, graphics don't make a game better, they both look visually great in photos but when inside the game, witcher is the one far more polished. They're both good games but nothing alike, so stop comparing them, respect them as individual games.

Let's keep things in perspective. For a first title, KC:D is a great achievement. What makes it special imo is that it has an extremely "authentic" feel to it. This development is very exciting. It will also be exciting to see what happens when the game has gone through a few patches and has a large amount of well tested mods. It will be even more exciting to see where they go with the next title.

Witcher cities are unimpressive. Big but everyone is just a robot doing their few animations and same soundbytes over and over, KCD citizens have activities they do each day, like real people.

The color of the sky changes drastically depending on the time, weather and location, and Toussaint generally has a much warmer tint to set it different from the other places

What you should be looking at is man-hours. I guess a lot of the budget for the Witcher goes into advertising as well, not to mention wage differences.

Well, the game looking like modded bethesda game and plays like one, a lot of bugs and boredom. W3 is prettier but the game is solid 7/10. You all should chill out and enjoy the fucking games.

I've just played it for 5 hours straight. No real bugs to speak of apart from the occasional graphical glitch (sword disappears for a few seconds etc).

This game is exceptional though. The attention to detail is staggering. I'm really enjoying the heck out of it. I only bought it a tonight because I wasn't sure about it but It's not 2.30am and I've just pulled myself away from it.

Yeah and all of them have an overdone color filter applied, most of the time artificially pushing the palette towards the warm end of the spectrum.
The daytime summer sun gives almost purely white light (ib4 it's fantasy not Earth) which is correctly portrayed in the Deliverance screenshot in the OP. Meanwhile everything in the Witcher 3 screen is yellower than it should be. You can argue it's a design choice but the effect is ugly.

As far as i can remember Witcher 3 downgraded, or rather, did a wholesale rewrite of their lighting system because it ate performance and for the console port.

Though since they've done that developers have found more efficient ways to handle lighting in games, i think Witcher 3 was originally doing it in a much more brute force approach.

This looks good but it's not jaw dropping. The texture and modeling is above average, the lighting is carrying most of it. Look at the plants on the left. They're clearly distorted and stretched polygons, and the resolution on the smaller plants is pretty terrible.
