Depends on what you remember. 358 and BBS has some references to KH2, so there's that. I highly recommend you replay KH2, or even go back to KH1 before starting any of those two if you can. It would be well worth the time.

So keeping all this in mind, let's move on to Aqua. The road to finding Aqua will probably lead the heroes into the Realm of Darkness, which will most likely be a world all its own. There will probably be a boss involved, more than one even. Do you guys actually believe that there will be an entire world an a proper boss where Sora won't be the primary playable character? Whatever role Riku gets, it will be small and he won't be allowed to fight any real bosses because they're not gonna waste a boss on a character who has less than half the potential abilities of the protagonist.

Am I the only one who likes the situation commands? As a blend of reaction commands, drive forms, finishers, command decks, and command styles, I think it's fairly successful. My only two complaints are

>they constitute a part of your normal menu, making it crowded at times so you can't cycle down to the bottom option as easily
>you can't cycle through them with the shoulder button, so reaching the one you want is more bothersome

That kind of thinking doesn't work when one wrong move can get you killed on critical and proud. It honestly just boils down to battles being more tedious as you wait for an opening to do the specific attacks needed to get the drive, but if you wait then your drive bar dissapears

It's super apparent how obnoxious it is in the Phantom Aqua fights. One of the achievements is hitting her with Aqua's command style finisher, and it's a pain in the ass because she teleports around and your fucking bar goes away if you dont hit every few seconds

Based on how marketing for games usually works I'm guesswe will get a tone of release dates come E3. Nothing major will relase in this first half of the year if it hasn't already come out.

I'm trying to plan my Platinum run of Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix. I played it once on PS3, but I picked up the PS4 collection a while back. Should my first playthrough be a speedrun of the game on Easy with all challenge trophies in mind, or should I do the speedrun seperate from them? Cutscenes don't count, right?

Proud is a little tough, but nothing that problematic. as soon as you get Aero the game is essentially over.
unless it was fixed in the PS4 version, you have to do all 3 difficulties, as the ending trophies dont stack. So i would recommend playing Normal as you would regularly, easy mode to speedrun, and Proud to clean up

Being multiplat was the absolute least of FFXV's problems, but I can see where the other user is coming from. Multiplat releases can't take full advantage of the hardware they're on, they're almost always watered down to match the specs of the less powerful system.

Here's what i think he's talking about.

Revolving around what the game is primarily about- Which is combat, Stats and more exploration now.
What i think he means is that you'll either be able to experiment with all of the provided game content.
Such as playing as the other characters, Some kind of content creator And/Or Online battling with these characters.
Also since most of the Square enix games are about a main character and their friends going on journeys with you, I wouldn't be surprised if there was use of all the characters for online shared gameplay experiences.

I think this all leads up to the possibility of,
Kingdom hearts either bringing all of the worlds connected together again, In a sort of online Kingdom hearts hub where all of the stuff i mentioned above comes together.

With all of the work of FF15 being in place, Their largest staff And what seams to be Nomura's new love of being able to share these fantasy worlds together.

A proper remake would probably butcher the gameplay honestly.

The only reason Re:coded feels so damn satisfying is because of the DS hardware limitations, it's not trying to look like a PS2 game like BBS or DDD tried, resulting in slowdowns and other combat oddities that broke the flow of the Command system.

Re:coded does occasionally suffer from slowdown, though.
The limited controls of the DS also hinder the fluidity of the gameplay, mainly in the camera control.

It's not like giving the game higher-quality assets on more powerful hardware would actually change the game. They literally just have to give it the HD remaster treatment, but with a little more work because DS to PS4 is a bit of a jump

They'd have to code a new engine on top of tuning animations and recreating the new assets like the System Sectors and some of the commands.
