I have reasons.

Serah is humanized well, has an arc about growing strong/courageous and has many incidental quirks. She's fun, reasonable and a source of positivity and hopefulness in the party, even if depression and feeling guilty too easily for things that aren't even really her fault and hiding her pain in order to not burden others are her defining characteristics.

Yuna in X-2 has an arc of learning to let go of Tidus (which is then contradicted by the ending). Turning the mask of pretended carefreeness in the beginning to actual one towards the end. And she never stops being the nice, helpful girl underneath. Saying it in other, more hurtful, words they smashed her character into nothing and then built something inoffensive (As in "Okay."). And I do have to admit I prefer it to the doormat Yuna from the first. She allows the player to have some fun.

Lightning's only tolerable appearance in anything is in LRXIII, where they made her hyper sarcastic and allowed her to mellow out. We actually learn what she thinks of things in that game. And they cheated and gave her an arc by proxy. In the past. By Lumina. For instance, the first novel's plot is based around Tidus and Yuna getting wrapped up in some ancient summoner/guardian love triangle shit, where the summoner cucks her guardian and true love. Now, I want to point out that when I say cuck, I LITERALLY mean cuck. The guardian walks in on his summoner having sex with another guy, and there's some in-story reason why she had to do it (something about a disease or something dumb like that) to try to justify it. Ah, I do not disagree that the writing in the novel, audio drama, X-2, the ancient audio drama and X is bad. Especially the novel. I just happened to like the way their relationship was portrayed by Nojima before the irrecoverable disaster. And the characterization is off. It just doesn't bother me as much, because I've always held everyone in FFX universe besides Auron, Belgemine and Chuami in contempt.

They may be cliches, applied to truly reprehensibly pathetic Japanese harem leads, but they didn't come off quite that strong towards Tidus in my opinion. He was a bit more chadlike about them, saying them with a wry smile. Regrettable though they were.

if you like depicting pale skin so much, why make the background color for every piece pure white rather than a color that contrasts more?

On my tumblr I do use dark grey backgrounds on a lot of works. I know I need a lot of work in terms of depicting 3-d objects and perspective, and have been changing how I draw quite a bit. I just don’t see myself giving up pale skin or my taste in lanky anatomy. I wanted to post art but I wanted it to be about Tifa, not my art style in particular
